Have some good memories of Center Parcs but I'd only ever go outside of school holidays. Eating out / using the supermarket is very expensive so definitely take some food, even if its just breakfast things and some pizza / pasta for a couple of nights. Also take water bottles for kids as buying drinks is pricey. The tropical swimming centre was my favourite bit because its included and you can stay there for ages!

I don't know how you popped up on my page but love the fact you went to the same Centre Parcs I did. We went just over a year ago at Christmas, it was magical, it helped that it was -8 to -11 degrees most days as the forest was thick frost, plus fake snow on all other areas, and we could hear the piped music from our cabin as we had the nearest 3 bed to the main area due to one of my families disabilities. I think we were by the lakeside Inn or similar name, the food in there was superb, we never tried the pancakes place. We booked a cupcake activity for my daughter, she decorated 6 muffins with Xmas designs and loved it. Seeing Santa and being able to freely take pics made our day. The ambience with the music and frost was so nice and the main lake was pure ice for the duration of our stay., I will never forget it and our cabin looked a lot like yours, loved it, log burning fire when it's icy out was like something out of Whams last Christmas plus the bed was comfortable enough. As I'm from Leeds with family in Leyland dragging food with us wasn't an option so we spent a fortune at some small Co-op or similar close to it, rather than go further to a Morrisons as there was a lot of traffic due to roadworks at the time. We ate out most of the time, expensive week, but memories were made.

I love Center Parcs but it is pricey. Always feel the money could be better spent elsewhere. We went a few times before my daughter started school, since then we have done one long weekend sharing accommodation with another family (great way to make it more reasonable) but otherwise I think we are priced out and if it came to it I’d rather spend the money on going abroad. Enjoyed your vlog! X

Ahhh im glad you liked it! We enjoyed it but I definitely think there’s a lot of unnecessary money to be spent there that could give more value elsewhere. I couldn’t dream of paying half term prices!

We went a few times before my son was school age and enjoyed it. Every now and then I have a look at the prices during the school holidays and it’s just not worth the money. We’ve paid just over £1k to go Lanzarote second week of the school Easter holidays for 2 adults, 1 child and infant(don’t need to pay for her yet) incl flights, accommodation, baggage, transfers.

The school holiday prices are INSANE

Oh no i thought you would really enjoy it thats a shame. I have spoken to a few people and i gather it is somewhere you either love or not. It is expensive and i think to get the most out of it you have to really immerse yourself in it. I definely think the activites while expensive really are on the whole worth it. We spend on average £250-300 on activites, i typically go in the christmas run up and there is so much to do. We are up and out all day and the kids love it and its just nice to have time together away from everything. I entirety get what you mean though i have booked for this year again and may end up being fined. My eldest will be about to turn 6 but even if the school did it would still work out cheaper than paying half term prices! It is just crazy 😂

We did enjoy it, I just don’t love it when you go somewhere and it feels ‘money hungry’ if you know what I mean? You don’t want to be the one saying no to your child all the time because so many shiny things have been put in front of them - the lodge and the setting was lovely and she loved swimming x
