    The interesting thing about the eruptor is that it kind of indirectly buffs the MG-43 and stalwart, especially vs bots as it gives you some ability to kill harder targets in your primary slot so you can take an MG to deal with infantry spam. Being able to drop in with that kind of firepower isnt to be sniffed at either.
    It feels more like an autocanon substitute than AMR though, even with the scope.

      You can also replace the machine guns with the Laser Cannon, depending on the scenario as well.

      I got good enough with my spacing in Lvl 7 that I can run Eruptor with Lil Uzi for fallback, Quasar for tanks/heavies/ships and cannons.
      Stalwart, Arc Thrower, Flamethrower and (I think it sucks) Laser Cannon and stuns
      Run it with a turret(I do rocket) for the times you whiff Quasar

      @@zabanya0 laser cannon needs a recoil reduction and damage increase. specifically agaisnt bots it doesnt really do much like it takes forever to kill a hulk with a headshot. which is like, the only reason to really bring it

    The r36 also blows bug holes and factories. Transformed my experience on bot side from frantic to fun, the warbond was worth it for this one weapon for me.

      not only that, but because the explosion is impact type and has a big aoe, you can make the shots at a steep angle too. far steeper than the autocannon

      @@rara3538 the autocanon only cant because its rounds bounce through the doors and walls of the buildings. its entirely a bug if you watch where the round goes it literally bounces through the walls and explodes outside

    The one thing that drives me insane regarding the Eruptor is that if you shoot too close to you it causes you to get pulled into the blast. It's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever experienced. If this was some Illuminate black hole shooting sci-fi gun I'd accept it as being quirky, but as it stands its just stupid both in-game and out of game. I like it outside of that.

      This also happens when using Auto cannon so its definitely a bug thats been relevant for a long while. You don't see it much in AC since using it too close just guarantees your death tbh.

    After playing with the exploding crossbow more, I think it's actually very viable as a stealth weapon. Both the explosion and the shot itself are very quiet(surprisingly) and the aoe it deals on impact is very deceptively larger than it appears. This can 1-2 shot most patrols walking by, making any bot call ins a thing of the past when you need to cross an area with patrols blocking the way. It'll stagger medium enemies too so it's VERY viable against bugs but I've been primarily using it against bots. Did you know the explosion can hit the back of a Hulk if you shoot under its legs? It only takes about 3-4 shots underneath it to hit the heat vents on its back with the explosion and it goes down. That's not too bad for a primary that can mob clear unsuspecting targets. I think it pairs well with weapons like the senator and redeemer as close range isn't viable with it. I think the idea of the weapon is to clear groups all at once without alerting nearby groups and that's fairly handy when you haven't had a breach in a moment and don't want to take the risk of it by using something that requires a 1v1 approach like a loud AR or stalwart. It's also explosive, so weak points with bugs are a bonus.

      Good points, it is definitely a finesse choice and not for extended confrontations. It pairs well with various support weapons depending on preference. It feels easier to use than the grenade launcher and reloads faster. With no arming distance it's good for close range if you're mobile kiting bugs.

      Yeah, I also find it a pretty good stealth option and I'm planning to give it a go for a while instead of scorcher.
      It's also very satisfying to use and that's big yes for me.
      "Unfortunately", it isn't "versatile", "it can't close bug holes, fabricators and is struggling with heavily armored enemies" oh yeah, because that's like a shared aspect of primary weapons, right?
      Idk why people were expecting so much from this thing, after all it's just primary. They are mainly used for clearing chaff enemies while Eruptor is so far the ONLY exception like primary+ essentially.

      @@short_yeti2058 That's true too, no risk of "bouncing" grenades. As mentioned above too, egg missions this baby clears whole packs in no time. Jump pack in, 4 shots tops, jump pack out.

      @@Yogowafel I went from the scorcher to it and I've been having a blast. There's definitely a learning curve but it's fun once you g et the hang of it. The leaks made it seem like you could destroy fabricators without even hitting the vents and I think their expectations were made higher due to those leaks. I think it's suitable enough for what it does and we have the grenade pistol as a side arm for a reason. If anything, people just want better definitions for "explosive" weaponry.

      For me, it is the heavy armor and the grenade pistol. I tried my best to like the Exfoliator. But for what I need it, coupled with a Stahlwart, the Scorcher is much better. True, less AoE. But higher rate of fire, and 10 more rounds, means I can use it to actually kill towers and tanks. They both do great against Atst. And the expluder does better against rocket devastator. However. Against shield devastator, the scorcher winns. Couple that with the tower and tank killing, the extruder is a scorcher for those that have no medals.

      Its shame that crossbow does not destroys bug holes/fabricators.
      I was looking forward to play sneaky breaky build and just with silent shooting crossbow surprising enemies :(

    Crossbow is the best silenced primary for sneaking and eliminating groups of "low priority" enemies, which are actually high priority because they are the ones who call for reinforcements...

    The Thermite grenade does in fact reduce enemy armor. I played a mission with a friend, stuck a thermite grenade to its chest and it enabled the auto cannon to damage it with body shots on the front plate without going for the face plate. Issue is, I was host during that mission and with fire/gas effects only working for the host this grenade currently does not do any good for the majority of players. So until the host issue is fixed, the dmg of the grenade, as well as the armor debuff will not function properly.

    The thermite grenade might be bugged. Burn damage is only applied to the host. That might be messing with the total damage

      It is, its damage when it works is slightly less than an EAT.
      One will finish off a Hulk that was previously hit by a Spear, and maybe EAT or RR (Only tested it with spear so far but i suspect it can finish off hulks hit by EAT or RR too).
      So yeah in its bugged state this grenade is basically a firework.

      I play solo all the time. Grenade is still worthless. It takes 3-4 to make a charger bleed out

    the cross bow should be one handed and it needs a different scope. some type of T sight to help judge bullet drop

      I hoped for new armor perks, any perk would do as long as it is new one.
      Like armor that has fire resist, or armor at gives more max ammo (if weapon has 5 mags it could add 1 or 2 more mags as armor perk), armor that would allow for some swiming, faster weapon handling

    I feel like most people miss the point of a marksman rifle. They are effective at ranges that stratagems and other weapons are not. They are also fairly quiet weapons. With that combo you can engage enemies from longer distances with out the fear of enemy reinforcement. They are support weapons designed to cut down the enemy force before an engagement. They are not add clear weapons. They are to be paired with add clear weapons. A marksman rifle is at its best 100M from its target crouched or prone in a good vantage point. From there a good shot can wound or kill base defenders or patrolling enemies. They are first strike and mop up guns.

      @@MDestron2282 Note how most of the commonly used primaries have no recoil, infinite ammo, ridiculous spread or some other facet that takes little to no skill. I constantly see footage of people trying to run and gun then complain that the gun bounces all over the place and has ammo issues. Or Mag dumping into a part of an enemy with armor then saying the gun deals low damage.

    The Adjudicator is a battle rifle, and should be in the regular rifle category. It is a better Penetrator. Them putting it in the Markman category is misleading.
    The thermite is likely doing zero(0) damage over time for most people due to the DoT bug in the game.

      Would be a better penetrator, if it weren't for the recoil and small mag size. The double damage per bullet won't help you if half your shots miss.

      low rounds,low damage, high recoil an utter waste for a weapons slot if you want to get things done.
      i like the look of it, but it feels terrible using it.
      they can increase damage/decrease recoil or add more rounds.

      @@loner9832 then you must hate the Liberator series, especially the Penetrator. Even lower damage. 80 is a lot for an automatic rifle but not a DMR which this thing is not. It's meant for fighting mid range from cover where the Penetrator is better on a more mobile build.

    That Grenade Pistol is freaking awesome. That's my new permanent secondary just due to utility. Gives you essentially 12 grenades instead of 4 and refills with regular ammo pickups so no matter if you find ammo or grenades you will always be able to have something on you to close bug holes and blow up fabricators.

    The eruptor is the best designed weapon in the game, the mechanics from animation canceling to reload with a bullet in the chamber is a much more involved then the rest of the guns really makes you feel like you are a extension of the weapon while every other gun has nothing to master but the reload aspect.
    The utility also makes for totally different builds or just some classics with faster fab/hole clears

    We also play on the hardest level and I pretty much agree with all of this. I would give the cross bow a bit more love if only against the bugs. It can blow up spewers well. The key is aiming at their feet, for all enemies. It can take out a charger if you unload all of its ammo under the belly. Overall yes its not great, but has some limited benefit. But as you said, ultimately there are just better choices

    I feel like the vocal player base weapons wants teeters too far towards the raw damage application for stratagems and weapons. It seems like everybody just wants their one-stop pocket rocket that deletes any enemy they encounter in a left click. The breakers, railguns and to an extent the new Eruptor rifle feel like they cater to that need (the former less so after some nerfing). Few seem to really want to learn the ins and outs of their armaments and consider their appropriate applications. I think the devs want people to embrace greater depth of gameplay by accepting that some weapons just can't do certain things and you should consider your tools and your team to meet those possibilities.
    I run Helldive bots almost exclusively these days (admittedly means I don't have much bug application experience) and lately my loadout has been consisting of the BR (before I was a standard Liberator main), impact grenades and a beltful of armor busting stratagems that I dual purpose into base/factory wiping.
    I'm not concerned about infantry hordes, the BR handles them: Good shot placement and (seemingly, unsure about this) some potential at multi-target penetration means I can clear them efficiently
    I'm not concerned about devastator squads, good positioning with the BR and precise shot placement: the shots fly high on the rifle, so I compensate by lowering the crosshair a tad at mid-long and taking a proper firing stance for recoil control or failing that; throwing a few grenades will handle them.
    I'm not concerned about hulks or tanks as I pack 500kg, 110mms, and an orbital railcannon to meet those specific needs. (Maybe more impact grenades if I'm feeling a bit desperate). If some ion storm or jammer locks me away from those; whatever man just deal with the problem accordingly and work with my team or reconsider my engagement until I regain these tools.
    The BR has many weaknesses, but adjusting how you play and choosing your engagements will make it (and anything else) shine and even outperform those who use more direct DPS weapons with no considerations for other aspects. I think most everything was designed to have a specific downside (low ammo, low armor pen) to make you consider how you should use it (fire mode, stance, distance, weak-point aiming). I wish other players would bother looking beyond a pure stat sheet more often to see things like this before requesting sweeping number changes when something comes up short in their eyes.
    It's okay if something comes up short or a problem emerges from your loadout. Means you get to play the game!

    At first I have the same feeling for the cross bow, but somehow I am liking it after a few dozen games. Using the cross bow requires you to keep your distance with your enemies. My secondary is Grenade Pistol and support weapon is LAS-99/EAT-17. I feel that this build is very versatile, cleaning up med to small mobs very quickly yet being able to deal with larger enemies.

    I think a good way to balance the crossbow would to be to make it a one handed weapon, and thus compatible with the ballistic shield. Yea it’s not much but there’s a serious lack of shield compatible weapons and that could be an interesting niche for it.

    Crossbow is basically a mini grenade launcher (that can't close Bug's hole and destroy Factory).
    Its work very good on clearing a horde of Bugs (explosion radius is alot larger than it seem and it can kill most Bug in 1 shot) but its very bad when using it with Bots because its low penetration.

    The grenade pistol is great. Even when I'm running around with the auto cannon almost always. One more boom is one more boom...and a reloadable one while on foot.

    I just started playing today and I’ve been using exclusively the marksman rifle after unlocking it, it’s great for robots, one shots small ones and two shots to the head for any big ones that have a visible head. I did notice that I was having more trouble against bugs with marksman rifles though, it’s great for the small ones but for the big ones I just spam at weak spots, takes a lot of shots unlike the robots where most will go down in two

    Main gripe with the eruptor is how slow and clunky it is, not because of the bolt action feature
    But because the weapon has the most slow aiming to ever exist, trying to switch between targets gives you this annoying sway that sometimes makes you miss that Devastator headshot or Hulk eye. I have more satysfying results with the anti-mat.
    It might also have something to do with the annoying amount of stagger from MG raiders or Heavy devastator, the fact each shot can stagger you is crazy.

      If they removed that awfully slow aiming and sway and made it react more like the Anti Mat it would be better.

    One thing I think everyone keeps missing about the crossbow, is it's sound signature. The cross bows utility is clearing patrols or bases without bringing em to full alert level. The ONLY time I get a drop ship is if I kill most of a patrol and stand out in the open for the bots to see, otherwise I use it like a dmr and don't need to worry about sniping 300 meters out like you HAVE TO if you're trying to use the editor stealthily. Cross bow is top tier if you're using it for that

    So ive been loving the Eruptor. My biggest issue though is that ive had more then a few times to where the bullet will miss and hit the ground or hit the enemy thenselves then ricochet and go flying. I liked to call it "something like a hockey puck". Only problem ive had with it though.

    Describing the Eruptor as a sniper rifle is quite misleading, you missed the fact that it has a strict limited range, the shots will airburst somewhere around 100m from the player, meaning you physically can't use it to snipe as with a normal gun. It's great out to mid range, but is physically incapable of damaging anything beyond that.

      It seems to airburst when there is no target, because when I was using it there was a bile titan 300~ meters away from where I was attacking one of my teammates so I took potshots at it and it did indeed hit.

      Yea i don't by that since when i used it to snipe a spore spewer it seemed to blow up before reaching it​. So it definitely has a limited range.

    The fact that the Eruptor can close Fabricators and Bug holes from range is incredible same with the grenade pistol now stun grenades is a best in slot for anything above difficulty 7

    With the Adjucator I use it more as an assault rifle. The problem I have with it is the damn gun sway, even when standing still or crouching! It just swings all over the place even if I single shot it!

    I love the thermite grenade. In my experience I've been able to consistently one-shot cannon towers and 2-3 shot tanks. It can also do crowd control if you can get a bunch of chaff to walk over it while it's burning. Maybe they've buffed it since this video was posted tho idk.

    Eruptor is my go to choice for dealing with the automatons. It makes dealing with the devastator spam fun(it also takes out the nests/factories). Couldn't really get behind using the other weapons though.

    Defender SMG + Grenade Launcher Pistol + Ballistic Shield + Laser Cannon or Quasar is my new go-to for Bots. The Defender has such high damage per bullet that it can take out many things in just a few shots and the shield gives you the space to get those shots in, especially on Devastators. GL pistol for Striders and Fabricators and the Lasers for Hulks, Cannon Turrets/Tanks, Objectives and the occasional Fabricator snipe with the Quasar. Bring whatever grenades suit your fancy, I bring Frags just so I can save ammo and they have a short fuse time while still exploding quickly, if you want to be more offensive with your grenades then you can take the Impacts and save the pistol for Fabs.
    The downsides are the GL pistol EATS through ammo and supply boxes as you only get 1 grenade back per ammo box or 2 back per resupply, so you'll have to eat an entire resupply if you wanna restock it from it being fully empty or demolish a Point of Interest like a pack of locusts. Rockets from all sources are a pain as you will get ragdolled and left vulnerable so I recommend explosive resistant armour and the shield has a glitch where if you stim while holding a weapon that is using it then you will put it on your back but still hold your weapon as if you're holding the shield in front of you, to fix this you swap to a different weapon then swap back but it has gotten me killed more than once.

    The Eruptor also deleted bug holes and automaton factories.. just aim it in the right spot. Making the Eruptor the best weapon they came out with. On a personal note they need an armor set that speeds up reload and identifying samples from further away. Just a though guys...

    Thermite needs boosted to standard 400 hp damage. Feels like currently they forgot to update the placeholder in dev.

    The crossbow does have a utility, and that is during stealth Since firing, the crossbow is silent, but the explosion of the arrows will draw enemies outTo check the impact, This is god tier for if you try to Stealth Atomatons objectives in lvl7+

    The Eruptor is by far my favorite weapon in the game thus far. I haven't used it against bugs but it absolutely wrecks the bots. I don't mind its weaknesses at all because if I properly use the terrain, cover, and on the higher difficulties, carry the shield backpack with explosive resistant armor, this weapon allows you to do a ton of damage and tilt the scales in the favor of your team. Paired with the Quasar, I can take out anything in the robot enemy type list. Perhaps the best negation of the Eruptor's weakness is the stun grenade. It's easy to hold a few of the chainsaw guys or devastators in place while you cycle your bolt, and by the time they come off stun, they're dead.

    I enjoy using the diligence counter sniper and AMR. Can snipe out bases and heavies usually without a bot drop

    Thermite Grenade is bugged.
    *The DoT doesn't work if you're not host.*
    And being the one to start the game doesn't mean you're host. The fastest pc to load is the host.

    I agree almost entirely with what you said, except I find the small magazine of the Eruptor (in conjunction with the bolt action) to be too big of a drawback for me to want to use it seriously. It is fun, but it just doesn’t get off rounds quickly enough for my taste. Also, I actually am one of the few who seem to like the adjudicator, but a small buff to its damage and magazine size would definitely be very welcomed. I’d love to finally have a viable marksman/battle rifle to use.

    My one question over the new weapons is around the Eruptor. If this Explosive bolt action sniper has a 3rd person reticule that can be reliably used, why does the new Heavy MG not. I get it was a willful choice by the Devs, but if I can 3rd person snipe at 75 meters with the Eruptor, why is the Heavy MG so unwieldy when it already has some of the worst ammo economy in the entire game?

    Just make the thermite physically burn a hole through enemies armour, if it opened up a weak spot (an actual WS) for your weapons to deal full damage against that target area then it would be great! It would be so cool to burn through a hulk or chargers amour and then destroy them with your primary

    I've got every available weapon and I'm still maining the Scorcher. I like some of the other warbond offerings, but the Scorcher is just a great all-rounder.
    I do like mixing up everything else though.

    Grenade pistol on Helldive won’t destroy factories or bug holes. Tried it for 3 days. Lvl 75 been doin this awhile - no idea how folks can use this & make things work for them. Like even when the damned doors are open. I just use the eruptor from across the map and it one shots ‘em every time. Really useful when you’re short one stratagem slot.

      Grenade pistol is finicky with fabricators. Has to be a straight shot and just above the bottom of the vent. I don’t find it reliable enough for that reason. Works great for striders and as a follow up shot to vents after an anti tank to finish off towers and tanks

    I like the eruptor my only problem is there’s like an invisible string attached to me and my enemy when I’m kinda close to them and it flings me towards them even tho the explosion was infront of me so it should’ve pushed me back

    Eruptor, laser canon, servo assisted. Is my favourite to run rn
    The laser canon is underrated and I don't see enough people using it, it has 200 meters range takes care of gunships, canon turrets, hulks, tanks,
    The only things it can't take care of is dropships (flying ones that is the grounded dropship objective is easy with the canon too) and fabricators
    But that's why u take the Eruptor it clears infantry and medium targets easily, and it takes care of fabricators,
    Can't get LOS on the fabricator? Use that servo-assisted to throw a airstrike to clear out any fabricators that u can't simply just shoot
    It's a great self sufficient load out, the only reason I find for needing resupplies are for nades and stims,

    Been slowly unlocking page 3 of the democratic detonation. Couldnt wait to try the grenade pistol which others tell me is fun that i totally forgot about the thermite grenade. I don't even hate the adjudicator so much cos it feels so smooth. Dont get me wrong, it still gets a 1/10 rating out of me but the thermite is a 0/10 imo. There is really no reason to take the thermite at all over any other grenades.

    the grenade pistol needs to give you more grenades per ammo box and resupply. 1 grenade from an ammo box and 2 from a resupply is way too hungry

    Im enjoying the eruptor and think its in a decently good spot, the Adjudicator is definitely very underwhelming considering it has such poor damage that I cant even really tell when the armor pen actually matters because it has a hard time killing the grunts and throw aways, havent used the pistol or crossbow but the pistol is huge for utility for hell divers that want to run alternative nades and still be able to take objectives that need them, the crossbow is fun themed but such a low magazine and huge drop off make it hard to consider taking it over other primaries. Crossbow just doesnt do anything well enough to consider it over other primaries for specific roles whether its objectives, trash clear, heavy demo, etc. The thermite is interesting, but lackluster, I think the most upsetting part is how inconsistent the points are when it sticks. Seen some people somehow lob a few of these at rogue satellite stations and labs somehow destroying them, I also think it has a similar PS5 host interaction where it just deals more damage but thats just a rumor I saw floating around and havent tried myself.

    CB-9 would be a much better as it is if it was just put in as a secondary. I'd run with it as a secondary all day using it to clear out adds and swapping to primary/heavy for the big things

    Been running the grenade pistol sickle and impact grenade on suicide mode on bots and a handful of hell dive on bots and it's been working out phenomenal. My entire squad at least two or three people minimum have been running the quasar laser and as long as you got callouts and everyone's taking down bot ships It is a breeze. And if and when something does land or pop up you get two people to hit a Canon Tower tank or any big boy bot hell dive on boxes not bad. But I've been joined the grenade pistol with the sickle and impact grenade it's been a great combo for me. You could take out all the medium armor guy striders easily Don't have a grenade I got a grenade pistol Don't have a grenade for the grenade passed away I got a grenade. Only thing I dislike about the new grenade pistol is sometimes it can be a pain to shoot it into a factory vent But once you get it down it's not bad and it closes buttholes 10 times easier lol Don't even have to aim

    I played around with the Eruptor for a bit, it's nice but i ended up going back to the Jar for more flexibility.

      I dont think it has more flexibility than the eruptor. It shoots faster yes but it still moves as clanky, the scope is a joke and the explosion has a 404 error "no found" The domi needs better handling as the eruptor outclasses it in any regard. Even with a slower fire rate 1 shot can kill up to 16 bots if clustered (I did) with the domi you need to kill them 1 by 1. Either better handling or a bit more "explosive" Also the eruptor closes holes and factories. I liked the domi before ah! but atm I don't see it being better than the eruptor in any case.

    Yeah the thermite gernade needs A BIG buff... did the gernade glitch randomly in a mission and a fresh hulk charged us i threw 20 gernades that stuck to him and after they burned and exploded HE WAS FINE?!? a hulk took 20 and lived...

      Its not a balance issue it's a damage over time bug that affects all damage over time unless your the host of the game

    With the Adjudicator and the thermite grenade they can be fixed with a balance patch. The Exploding Crossbow just feels wrong. Even if it gets better damage I still think it needs to be rethought. I would rather it stick to enemies and explode and strip armor or something.

    Buy the warbond to support this pro-gamer Studio. The weapons will likely be buffed. As of now there is nothing in it that another weapon can’t do better. Anything viable is niche at best.

    I really do like the Eruptor, have yet to unlock the grenade Pistol, but I am torn about what support weapon to take with the Eruptor... my go to since it's addition is the quasar, but that leaves me in the lurch for when I get swarmed...

      That's my dilemma too. And if I go with the Stalwart for swarms, then what about all the tanks and hulks and so on? Strikes and barrages only go so far then you hit cooldowns and so on.

    In my opinion whether or not the Warbond is worth it or not largely depends on both your playstyle and if you're buying it with Super Credits you found in-game vs. buying with cash.
    If you're buying it with Super Credits found in-game, why not buy it? There currently isn't much other use for SCs besides a few armor pieces, especially since most of the armor you buy with them are just cosmetic changes. As has been pointed out by others the Eruptor and Grenade Pistol are good choices for some players, and even the crossbow can be useful for stealthing a mission.
    However if you're taking about spending IRL money then it's a personal choice.
