Outstanding! I've been considering that hollowing tool, now may be the time, well done.
thanks Scott! it is very satisfying to get big shavings in end grain hollowing! it's really worth the effort to learn how to use it!

What does it do!

Plus it’s great to see a Record lath being used,I have one but mine is a bit older but still working fine .
Lathe not lath lol
this record is my first and only lathe for now. once i have chanced bearings on this lathe. struggles with bigger pieces a bit but good for smaller projects like this.
Very nice vessel, mate. 👍
Thank you Teuvo!
Very nice it would make a beautiful small cookie jar or similar
Very beautiful piece sir
thanks!
How beautiful. Love the contrast on the lid. How long did you dry the log before turning? Also, what make is the hollowing ring?
Thanks. tree has felled down about year ago. not very dry yet which is why I decided turn lid same log assuming vessel and the lid dryes fairly similar.. hopefully. ring tool is robert sorbys tool.
Spinning that thing pretty fast
in the start 500rpm.
and when it get piece in four jaw chuck then 1000rpm.
hollowing at 500rpm.
How can I get one of this???? I m from INDIA
Работа интересная. Но ракурс камеры не всегда выбран удачно, особенно при работе внутри изделия.
Thanks for commenting! I'll keep that in mind.
