Yes! It was probably heartbreaking for them to give up their ponies, so it has to make them feel better seeing the ponies living safe, loving lives. ❤
I even want to adopt 1 dog from a shelter but I’m senior, I can’t afford if something goes wrong to the dog😢😞👵
@@dearace9991• I’m a senior too. I just got a dog after my long time best friend passed away. Gracie was only 12. She was a chihuahua. I miss her so much. I do have pet insurance. It makes it easier and it doesn’t cost much. And if your dog needs meds, GoodRX has it for pet meds so you’re not paying high amounts.
And it helps the minis adjust too, not feel abandoned.

I'm afraid, as well, that I will go before my dog does. We're both seniors. But I have made a deal with a friend that he will take my dog should something happen to me. Not everyone has that opportunity, of course, but I encourage you to look around and make some calls to see if there is a rescue organization that can help you.

Awww them 2 knew they were safe the moment they met you, and once they got in the car you can tell they really showed how grateful they were and especially that they are experiencing it together❤
For all them Minis to be laying down peacefully like they are with a person in the same space is a sign of trust, a lot of trust actually. Thank you for rescuing the horses from the kill pin, and for any of them to survive is amazing. Going to horse auctions and going through and seeing the horses in the state they tend to be in really shows just how evil a person can be.

Lee- thank you for letting the former mini horse owners come visit. I can’t imagine getting older and having to give up my animals and never being able to see them again. Thank you for letting them come visit. I’m sure it makes their month. ❤

Yep! Equines love to nap lying down if they feel like they can relax. It often gets mistaken for a tragedy by well-meaning passersby who don't know this!

I read comments about how lucky Lee is, I would imagine managing a rescue facility is one of the hardest jobs humans do. Must be like living on a roller coaster at times. Lees calmness is so vital as it enables him to be able to keep moving thru the hard times.

Thank you so much, Lee, for allowing the elderly couple to visit their babies, I know how much that means to them. I had to let my girls go before I moved as there was nowhere here to keep them. It breaks my heart every day, not knowing if they are safe or loved, or even still alive😢
I am practically in tears thinking these sweet, friendly, super loveable dogs were on the shelter euthanasia list! Who runs this shelter to have even considered this?!! Thank you, Lee, for rescuing them!! Now, please, any other close rescue group, please go and get the all the others!!
Publicly funded and run animal shelters almost everywhere are so underfunded and understaffed that wonderful pets are euthanized as normal practice because there is nowhere else for them to go. This has been the norm since the advent of animal control services in most parts of the U.S.

Love it! I adopted bonded pair set to be euthanized and spent their entire life in cage in a puppy mill. We lost penny a year and a half ago at age 17.5 and I still have princess who will be 19 in March. ❤.

I have been going through the lowest point of my entire life and I’m only 21 and this video has released so much stress. I love dogs so much I’m so glad that he is such an amazing man to help all these animals that deserve a second chance thank you not only for that, but for sharing it with us to bring a positive light and to show to adopt from shelters

One of my youngest childhood memories is when I was 4 years old. We were in California and went to this orange grove farm. My parents were in the house and the kids went out to play. Well... I noticed the horses and left the kids playing and walked up to where I saw this beautiful horse feeding. I climb up his neck and fall asleep on his back, backwards.
I wake up to the owners and my parents freaking out that I was on this horse's back and they were fearful because he didn't like people! I couldn't understand why they were upset! I met and made friends with a beautiful soul. I even remember his name CJ.
Throughout life people can be so mean and heartless. With that said I thank God for animals.
And so thankful for those who rescue and provide the love most of them have not been given.

When horses and mini horses lay down to sleep and some are standing those are on guard duty. But most importantly when horses lay down to sleep they know the owners and surroundings have made it safe so they feel safe. Great job Asher House.

Donkeys are great livestock guardians. I have one that watches over my goats as we have a lot of coyote activity in my area. When they have a job, they take it seriously.

You are so special Lee. I hope you're healing over the loss of Lilly. There's nothing harder. You need some time off, heal your heart and your back, cry over all the ones who had such a great life with you until the end. l've rescued 1-2 dogs for over 30 yrs, it doesn't get any easier and it's worth it - once I can scrape myself off the ground to rescue another. It took me 9 months after my Newfie Daisy Mae passed, that was the hardest one.

The dignity you give animals and then this challenged older couple is simply amazing. Hi Lee I rescued a Frenchie yesterday here in uk, straight from an alwful home kept caged cause he’s been attacked by other dogs, his growth had been stunted due to poor diet or no diet as he’s so thin. My rescue saintXmastiff boy adores him, Frenchie has been with us 24 hours and he is so happy and content. The dogs know when they’ve been saved. If I had Lees land I too would do exactly what Lee is doing. Your a true inspiration to me Lee. I am manifesting lees life everyday 😍🦴🐶🙏🤩 sending love to the entire Asher sanctuary. I just did a HAPPY DANCE! I can’t believe how much joy I just received.
I worked at an equine rescue. It is indeed a very sad thing. We made their lives the best we could for the time they had left or if we could find them a forever home we would and did. We adopted a beautiful old man for my daughter and it was devastating for us when his time was at an end. The time he had with her was his best life and she was his girl. They had an incredibly beautiful bond. It really astounds me that humans treat animals the way they do. Then again it astounds me that humans can treat other humans the way they do.
