LYRICS:
I did you a favour
I bled myself dry
Well this is what it is now
Pain pain
He’s selling insurance
Selling clouds to the sky
You sold me on living
Living is nothing
But you’re so good lookin’
I bled myself dry
(Daze ya
Phase ya
Happy days yeah)
I did you a favour
I bled myself dry
Well this is what it is now
Pain pure sky
I’ll be your dog of submission
My mission
To help you forget
I’ll be your dog in the corner
I will light your cigarette
Ah but you’re so good lookin’
But you’re so good lookin’
Awh I did you a favour
I did you a favour
Awh I did you a favour
I bled myself out
Well this is what it is now
Pain pure sky
I’ll be your dog in the corner
I will be your dog
In the corner
I DID YOU A FAAAVOURR
I BLED MYSELF DRYYYYYY
WELL THIS IS WHAT IT IS NOW
PAIN, PAIN
@@geniejanehazey I AM JACKIE DOWN THE LIIIIINNNEEEE
@@jago6260 Wrong song!
Somebody, please, give the bassist a hug asap.
i can't help but anticipate the sound going dead towards the end of the song ever since watching their npr performance
Underrated backing vocals holy fuckk
It's a tough choice but I think this has become my favourite song off the album. What a closing track. Evokes feelings of giving up and giving in to no resolution. Amazing live too, the guitars sound immense. Fantastic performance ❤️
nabokov and big shot are by far my two favourite from skinty fia
My favorite as well. Sounds so good on headphones too!
Mine as well
Love is cold is a good track as well.
This band's music is everything I've ever wanted. I feel so deeply when I hear it. It reminds me of my youth. It reminds me of my now. I get literal chills and goosebumps with every song from every album. It's everything at once.
🤜🤛
I can't get enough of this album; it's like a drug.💚
omg exactly. I get a beautiful feeling of teenage angst when I listen to them!
Yes really does the same for me. Maybe because it really has the sounds of the 90s for me
I said exactly the same last night to my bf. Fontaines is amazing. ❤
God I love this band
why.......?
@@alexxdeboo Great new sounds, from old music influences? What not to like or u can still listen to the same old boring billboard charts.
@@alexxdeboo cause he's allowed to and because like all great art it's impossible to articulate why we like something.
[Edit] sorry 'she'.
you liking the new singles so far
??
I love when they do a little shoe gaze. You can tell these guys love my bloody valentine. Perfect balance of influence without imitation
Nothing to listen to on a ride home from a 9-5 gulag like a bit of Fontaines DC!
Especially Televised Mind, Hurricane Laughter and a Hero's Death 😍
Try 7:30 to half 6:30 on a building site
@@seanmcardle9585 I don't wanna say that the 9-5 office work is especially hard, just it's bleak and has an atmosphere that matches Fontaines DC very well. Kudos to all the builders out there!
@@GrljushRKrljusht fair enough mate peace and love
I blast their 3 albums after work to decompress! My therapy!!!!
Musicianship is unrivalled with this band. Followed them from the start and still blow me away! Drummer is insanely good
What a band. What a song
Great song, one of my first Fontaines DC songs
great performance!!!!! great album!!!! great song, yeah!
I did you a favour is that an accusation or a statement ....BRILLIANT
Only discovered this track a few nights ago! Haven't stopped playing it! Such a powerful song!
I cannot choose from all of the songs, amazing album, atmosphere and band. I wish I could see a concert 🙏🏼
I still remember listening to this song first time ❤️🪬 made me buy a tickets to Warsaw gig 🔥 WHAT A BAND WHAT AN ALBUM! 🔥
in warsaw? when?
A must see live band
Had a choice between them and Interpol and I choose Fontaines. There were shit live this summer in Chicago. There was some energy but Grian kept acting like he was bout that crowd surfin life and never jumped lol
Incredible band. So excited for their future!
Chicago wants you back.
Uhhh No we don't. They couldn't even have there rigs set up right. Foh no offense lol
Best band on the planet
I love the vocals so much, but the rhythm guitar and reverb drives it home.
Love their music since 2 years. And Grian is one of the loveliest and most honest songwriters and frontmen I came across.
I cannot believe there was a shoegaze track on a US late night show wtf. Incredible song and performance skinty fia is a 10/10 album
postpunk
@@DelScully yea yea i know but this track in particular is heavily influenced by shoegaze
@@Nick-pt6slecho the shoegaze influence here. No surprise given both guitarist are massive MBV / Cocteau Twin fans
@@Nick-pt6slcurley wrote the music for this one and he listens to a lot of shoegaze in his free time, shits ace
@@DelScullythis is not a post punk song is it
So happy I got to see you lads earlier this year ❤️
fontaines entering their shoegaze era..
Absolutely one of my favs from the album and dam what a beautiful amazing album to good

SJackie Down the Line came up in my 'You Might've Missed This Year'. Never been so thankful!
Most underrated song from the album
Nah... I'd say its probably one of the fans favs off the album actually.
Such an 80’s sound reminds me of my youth
Thanks Seth for having my friends on here!
Yes!
brilliant
Grian has such a fantastic voice!
Stoked to see them live in 2 weeks !!

Youre soooo good lookiiiiiiinggg
Great detuned guitar licks, great effect
Trippy

Amazing!!!!
would be bigger than the strokes if they both came out in the same era
Coolest

Daze ya phase ya.

“I’ll be your dog in submission” now i wanna someone to say this
hey
"I will light your cigarette""
I bled myself dry...💚
@@pamela8329 Pamela you're so damn good looking.
Shit hot 🔥
Fuck. Yes.
Kenny Vaughn's favourite band!
Discovered this song from the series Mayans MC
I hate how quiet this video is, i can't absolutely pump it
💥🤘💥
Yeaaaaaah, wonderful! 🧡🧡🧡
Love you ❤️
Please do more of this
Class 💚👌👌👌👌deadly 🇮🇪
🔥❤
That was the most depressing thing i've ever heard, well done.
It's gotta be at least 2nd to your comment
@@mrdarren1045 The fact that you're indirectly defending this crap song puts you far ahead in terms of how depressing things are here.
@@countryroadstakemehome carry on listening to lady gaga and Beyonce then. The most depressing and sad thing of all are ppl who watch videos of bands they don't like.
Listen to I Know It's Over by The Smiths. The saddest song of all time.
The best band in the world atm
You've paid too much attention to the nme... although I don't disagree. It's a choice between these and protomartyr imvho.
🥰
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Is this the best-dressed band around at this time, or have I got this wrong?
Best t-shirt of the year
Well thank fk we don't have to look at the scissor sisters anymore.
Hints of stone roses and oasis
More ride to my ears
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
When did he start singing the songs ???
was this live or pre-recorded? i guess my real question is: has carlos ditched the pink hair??
is it only me who thinks, well this is the new generation of the Cure?
Yes!!!!
This album has a lot of dark Cure vibes for sure. Some Porno/Faith/Disint sonic similarities. Not as good as those albums because nothing is, really...
Delusional my boy you have no idea what The Cure did if you compare this to them.
But yer so good loooooookin
*flash warning
Best Band since the Smiths.
This song is a mix of Nirvana' guiter with Liam Gallagher 'voice
Yes!!!!
Come on mannnnnn
He thankfully sounds nothing like Liam Gallagher.
Why did you name this song, nabokov? Is it inspired by the Russian literature write and author Vladmir Nabokov?
🔥 NABOKOV = Pearl Jam + Stone Roses
Eddie Vedder's soul intensity singing BLACK featuring Stone Roses I am the resurrection's atmosphere
I told you
y’all make me want to reconnect with my freemason irish ancestor 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ he died more than 100 years ago
The audio for this video is way too low.
An Ian Curtis with Jason Williamson performance.
Bro I've never been so appaled to a comment!!!
He spits out, brits out! only smokes Carroll's
Grian was born in England to an English mother. He also now lives in England. That makes grian more British imo. But who cares. We are past all that stupid shit now except for a tiny minority of dickheads. Take London out of the equation and Ireland and the rest of Britain have far more in common than anything that divides us.
And BTW the brits aren't in Dublin or the entire of the Republic.
The French and Germans are your new masters. Good luck with that.
@@mrdarren1045hmmm, really
PAIN????
They made a shoegazey song in 2022 damn
great song, great performance. poor sound on video :(
Seth needs new sound engineers.
I’ll play this with with you guys in Milwaukee, Wisconsin 7/19/23 and you guys can see my first album release!
The instrumental is awesome, it reminds me of Sonic Youth and Afghan Whigs, but Grian hasn't evolved his vocals much. I expected more.
OMG you changed my life with Afghan Whigs... I never knew that band... That voice is mezmerizing' - sooo blunt
@@ertsekpal7579 yeah, they're awesome! Listen to their old stuff too. I started listening to them in my teen years. Listen to the album Congregation. The song "I'm her slave" is just wow!
I also heard the Afghan Whigs influence. I hear the song Debonair in this song.
@@carolm1110 For me DC. sounds like bit cure also with at the drive in :,D
@@ertsekpal7579 Definitely! I think they have an influence from The Cure too! And Joy Division. Love these bands. 😍
Seth Meyers is a NWO freak but this song is great.
Them doing mainstream doesn't bother me what does is the fact that this is what is presented as great. I wish for the days when rock was gold.
Best band I've experienced since AM in the 2000s or Biffy Clyro in the early 2010s. Sucks if you don't like it but a lot feel the same way, hence why they're getting these big gigs and TV performances
@@MBobo18 Artic Monkeys are way better not even close. Bands like Interpol and The Strokes from the early 2000 are way better. You sound like your from Ireland which explains the hype. If they were that good no problem. To me its worrisome cause when it comes to prime time they should be great not average. Seen them live and there was no juice but like one or two songs.
@@romeocastillo2707 and the strokes and interpol don't come close to a hundred 80s bands and most 90s bands and the best of the 70s and 60s make both look dire.
@@romeocastillo2707Arctic Monkeys have joined the easy listening train with U2. So sad...
@@romeocastillo2707 I think the difference is that Interpol and The Strokes both had one really fantastic album (The Strokes have had another since tbf but it was nearly 20 years after the first one), Fontaines have had at least two, some might even say three
