Could definitely see this in Top Of The Pops 1980s I remember being young and working on Top Of The Pops as an VT Operator recording all the live performances for the broadcast via HD Cams. What an incredible time too be alive, and yes I worked on TOTP whilst Jimmy Saville was the host 😂

I think the faster tempo dampens the beautiful melancholy feel of the verses in the original
true but sometimes speed is just needed for playing live. That chorus is special live.
