I'm running ASIO now at 128 but only with a tiny amount of latency, totally acceptable.

I have Audition CC, and latency is just extreme. I may click everywhere on timeline and it delay is +/-20 sec. I press play button...another delay is +/- 20 sec by "Calculating playback". I try maybe everything that I found on the internet nothing helped. I'm frustrated with my actual project, since than it was great fast DAW, now it is like ride a turtle. Iam not able finish anything.

the problem with not being able to record on the first track after changing the device is that you didn't indicate the input and output chanels for track, it changed with the changing of device. to set that click on the left and right facing arrows on the channel just like when you chosed your mic

I’m actually having recording latency at the moment. It’s bugging me the F out. When I record it sounds good and I’m hitting as I should on the beat. On play back my starting point is let’s say hits on the first kick on the beat, but the recorded file hits on the snare. And when I push it to the kick it still sounds off 🤬
Is there a fix if you have a USB mic that doesn't use an interface?

please tell me there is a way to have live playback to headphones with ASIO. i don't have headphones that plug in to my interface and the latency is killing me. I just want to record music properly again (it used to be fine i dunno what happened) Thanks for the tips in the vid too man i see that there's no latency now but i just can't hear anything.

looks like input auto set to none in your track, that's why your record arm is greyed out. possibly. that's what i just figured out!

@United Destiny Entertainment I've been watching this video for years and never got my monitor delay solved. It's so frustrating knowing this solves some peoples issue but not others. I have a Late 2013 macbook pro. The only device class I have is CoreAudio. I've tired all my buffer speeds with a sample rate of 44100hz a nothing works. I've been using adobe for years can't see me learning a new daw to solve this problem. Anyone mind helping ?
How to Master and Mixing in it with many audio music tracks? I'm a beginner Music composer and whatever the instrument I'm recording is not matching with the others one due to latency.....

Ok, I installed the USBPre 2.0 ASIO drive but it won't give me an option to choose my own device. did I download the wrong asio drive or??? I need help desperately please :(

Mac: You can lower the buffer size to 256 Samples. Adobe Audition -> Preferences -> Audio hardware -> I/O Buffer Size; this will help with the latency. For playback / editing / mixing, you can increase it again and it will be cool.

HELP... i do this and i can tell the latency is fixed but i cant hear my instramental anymore... whats the point of no latency if i cant hear the beat im trying to record to?
Nik Siefried you have to make sure your output is your interface or whatever your primary sound device is. That’s an easy fix. When you changed the settings it have to change it on the input and output
im not seeing how i can change the input and the output... nothing works in ASIO except the latency.

I have an problem :( When I switch to ASIO , .. I can record.. but I cannot hear any voice or song in that modus :(
And in MME I have delay voice...
It doesnt matter which OUTPUT I choose in ASIO ,.. there is no sound...
Anybody knows how I can fix this?
In MME there is a lot of latency, I hate it .. ;)

Nope, doesn't work. I can not hear the recorded track when I'm recording it or play it back. Also, no matter what I select in the track I/O, it is still only in one channel.
It needs to be one channel for mono but come out stereo L R which is 2. Also if you cant hear it back either you have the input monitoring on or your output settings are not going through your interface. If you can't hear yourself while recording then you need to engage input monitoring which is the letter I. Let me know if you this helps
