canto 7 takes place almost entirely in an amusement park called La Mancha Land and as you could guess, its filled to the brim with the in universe equivalent of vampires and yes, they are all insane and very bloodstarved
@@oykel4089 they ARE pretty chill once they're fed. The whole point of the canto is that bloodfiends are just as scared of humans if not more than humans are of them. There's even a group dedicated to hunting and torturing bloodfiends for the sport of it. Really I feel bad for bloodfiends because most of them didn't even ask to be that way. As soon as you turn into a bloodfiend to the whole city you're now known as something that needs to be rid of. Which in honesty I would trust a bloodfiend way before I trust any human that lives in the city and thats saying alot.
@@negate4828 To be fair it entirely depends on the bloodline... Or rather it depends if you include Elena or not. She most definitively is not scared of humans.

Great reaction! One thing of note though, the character in the image there is not actually the character this song is for, this song is for a character that goes by "The Barber". The pictured character is also not doing all right, but that is for other reasons. Oblivion is the name of the current Season, the Canto is The Dream Ending. While there is Boss 2 as a song, I also highly recommend LaMancha Carnival, as I feel it perfectly encapsulates the feeling of the location the story is in at this point. It is also sung by the VA for the character pictured in this video. Anyways, happy to see you react to this one, and as always loved hearing your breakdown about the song! Edit: fixed the canto name.
@@CatharsisYT probably to avoid spoilers. The song was released the day after the boss, so I think the uploader was just being nice for the people who haven't played yet.
My favorite part of this song is the remix of the Leviathan leitmotif at 1:07. I also love how unhinged this song is to fit the whole “vampires driven mad by not drinking blood for 200 years” plot point.
@@victorpedrosoceolin3919 The OST Leviathan was also used alongside limbus promotional videos and Leviathan promos. It's also called Leviathan in the files.
There's a small snippet in 1:07 which is considered the "limbus leitmotif" its in most of the canto battle track. However, I believe this is the first time this has been used in a boss track. It was first used in a trailer for the visual novel Leviathan which sorta a prequel to Limbus in game its used in Battle theme Canto 1 A-1 (by the naming scheme you can guess it also the first battle theme) I do recommend you react to that theme or Leviathan (the track used in the vn) that was implemented in limbus at a later point.
Really really looking forward to your dissection of the canto 7 boss 2 theme. Personally feel it has just as much depth if not more than boss 1. Very different but also very powerful
Lunartique has posted LaMancha Carnival theme. Pick the one without the numbers, and not the instrumental. Turn on captions for lyrics. There is also the 2nd boss theme of canto 7. Though, several of the battle tracks this canto are interesting too, in my opinion! Including, some sweet acoustic guitar tracks! Details: This was "The Barber of LaMancha Land" 's theme. Not the person in the picture, but The Barber IS indeed a bloodfiend. She wields a giant pair of scissors, you hear some snips as percussion in some parts of this song. As for the pressure on reading characters based on themes, don't stress too much lol.. your impressions of vibes /situation in general is also cool imo
So some info on the character in the video, that's more or less the "title card" for this season, not the boss this song is for. The character in the title card is Don Quixote, one of the twelve playable characters in Limbus. She's in a form called EGO here, a type of equipment based on various monsters (called Abnormalities) that the characters share a strong resonance with. Think of them like Specials in a lot of other games or Noble Phantasms from the Fate series. The EGO form Don Quixote is in here is called Yearning-Mircalla, based on an Abnormality called Four-Hundred Roses. Abnormalities usually have some kind of story, mythology, or folklore basis, and Four-Hundred Roses is based on the story of Carmilla, one of the oldest vampire novels ever published (even older than Dracula). Hence the bloody flowers and the vampiress aesthetic.
Most of the songs in Limbus are not representative of the character focus of the season they're from. So this song, and all the other canto 7 songs you may listen to, are not actually about the Canto 7 focus character. That ends up being reserved for the Mili song that plays during the final boss fight. So, in this case, the image depicts Don Quixote, the focus of this Canto, while the song is for "The Barber of La Machaland." The boss 2 theme is for "Lady Dulcinea."
I hope you react to all of the LaMancha Carnival (they go together), as well as the three themes in Canto 3 that is Sinclair town theme and Story theme 1 and 2
The Sinner whose turn it is in this Canto is Don Quixote. And yes, references that literary Don Quixote in many of the themes, but ofc as usual with its own spin on it.
The character in the artwork isn’t the boss by the way. If you aren’t afraid of spoilers I will give you the character name. Yes she is a vampire though. In fact so is the boss. That is Don Quixote. She is a member of the main cast and this canto is hers.
