It was awesome to see the yellow mean machine adorned in the Christmas lights what an amazing sight!!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family Matthew!!!!
Thanks Paul! You know it!! Actually, I had a guy almost hit me because he was trying to get a picture of my truck while we were both driving 70mph down the interstate!
Sweet ride my friend. Do you do this every year? Is this a annual tradition? Do people ever say anything when you drive around at night. I bet they love it. I would hate for people to steal the lights sometime when you are at a store or something. Looked really good. I am sure driving at night looks really cool. The police have no issues with that? That is a great idea. And the command hooks stay pretty good? Now all you need is a stereo in the back playing Christmas music and you are set to go :) God bless you guys. Take care!
This was actually the first year I’ve done this, but I now plan to do it every year! I actually did it a couple weeks ago for our town’s Christmas lighted parade. It takes place after sunset, so all the floats are decorated with lights. It was a lot of fun, pulling a float for all the foreign exchange students. And funny you should mention it, but I really did have a big speaker set up in the bed of my truck, blasting international Christmas music. It was so fun, I decided to make a video showing other people how to put the lights on their car. It definitely gets a lot of attention! 😎 And so far, I haven’t attracted the attention of the police. I can’t imagine it’s a problem. I’ve been driving it around town for a few days now, and all the hooks have held up pretty well. Anyway, thanks for stopping by again. Take care, God bless, and have a great week!
looks awesome man!! 1 ? to ask with lights around hood and tailgate, can hood and tail gate still open or will u need to remove lights to open? just asking still love it! great job
Hey man, Thanks for watching! The way I installed these lights, unfortunately, you can’t open the hood or tailgate. But at least you can still open the doors! 😃 The nice thing is, though, you can install them differently, if you need access to those things. It just wasn’t important to me. Thanks for watching! Take care, God bless, and have a great day! 😎 Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼😎
I watched the entire video of placing Christmas lights on your truck however you didn’t mention when you plug in the cigarette lighter to plug lights in so you put cord out there door , window or what because I thought I heard you say be careful not to catch wire in the door. If so how do you get from inside to outside
I put them out my back center window that opens into the bed of my truck. Every car is slightly different, so you’ll have to figure out what works for your vehicle. The lights are so thin, you could probably tape them inside one of the back doors or something. Shutting the door shouldn’t hurt them. Or you could put them out one of the back windows, but you wouldn’t be able to use that door I hope that makes sense, and I hope it helps. Thanks for watching! 😎
Thanks so much! I brought the lights in through the back window above the bed, so it doesn’t interfere with the doors. I hope that helps Thanks for watching! Take care, God bless, and have a great day! 😎 Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼😎
How fun!! Where would you suggest to run the lights inside vehicles that don't have rear windows? Through top of a window on a back door maybe? But then you couldn't use that door...hmmmm
It really depends on how your car is set up. Every vehicle is different. Maybe find a way to run it along the door frame or something. These lights are so thin, it won’t hurt them if you shut a door on them. Or just lock one door and make sure not to use it. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching, Kim! Take care, God bless, and have a merry Christmas! 😎
I went out the back window, along the top of the truck bed and up to the front of the truck, then I went along the bottom edge of the entire truck, and down along the running boards, so I kept them out of the way of the doors. I really just tried to outline the truck along the top and bottom. I hope that helps. Good luck and Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼😎
I strung them through the back window and plugged them into the power inverter that is plugged in my cigarette lighter. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching! Take care, God bless, and have a Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼😎
Im not sure. It probably depends on your car’s wiring and battery. But I know that I was able to run my lights as well as a big speaker turned up really loud for our Christmas parade with no problem. LED lights don’t typically use up a lot of power, so I’m sure you can do quite a bit. If you try to run traditional light bulbs instead of the LED, it will definitely be a lot less you can do. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching! Take care, God bless, and have a great day! 😎

Sounds awesome! I’m sure it will turn out great! I can’t say that I’ve seen anyone put a tree in their truck, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, as long as it’s anchored well on the bottom. Good luck and happy holidays!😎
I just wrapped them around until I reached the end, then I tucked the final bit in the back window above the bed. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching! Take care, God bless, and have a Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼😎

As for me, in Indiana, I haven’t had a problem. I have put these lights on my truck for the entire month of December, for the last three years, and haven’t had an issue. I even talked to a police officer friend of mine, and it hasn’t been a problem. These lights are not all that bright, and it’s pretty obvious, even from a distance that they’re Christmas lights. But I agree with you, it’s probably a good idea to check with your local law-enforcement before trying this. Thanks again, and thanks for watching! Take care, God bless, and have a great day! 😎 Happy New Year! 🎉
Cool
Thanks 😎
The ones you linked are 132ft, not 164ft
Thanks for the heads up It seems they stopped selling the exact ones I got. I’ll have to see if I can find them somewhere else.

I’m not exactly sure where the cigarette lighter in the car is
I would think most cars have some sort of power outlet somewhere. Maybe check the owner’s manual.
So just buy the power inverter and then it's the same thing as putting it on your house lol
Yeah, pretty much! 😎
@@HoosierDaddyOfficial doing this every year for the month of December. But now, is it illegal?
I’ve never had any issues before. My understanding is that you can’t have just red and blue flashing lights.
Command hooks lol 😂
