So, I just built this in survival mode and for anyone thinking of building it too, here are some things to consider...There are pieces for this building that are not part of the game unless you buy them. (And they were in the bazaar so they could be gone now/unavailable for purchase? Not sure...) Seeing as this is a beginner video using sandstone, if you are like me, you were looking for something from the base game, without having to spend money. So, that's something to consider. The pieces used that are not in the base game were those chimney looking pieces, the cool doors and windows, and the thatch flat ceiling piece. I used regular windows where they used fancy ones and regular ceiling pieces instead of the thatch ceilings. For the doors, I used reinforced doors from the stonebrick building pieces. Next thing, they can fly around to build this and in survival mode, you cannot. If you're not comfy climbing/walking on thin walls a lot to build *as a beginner* this might not be the base for you/or just something to keep in mind. Next, there is a spot in the video where, later on, they entirely re-do the main tower ceiling so watch ahead for that part to save yourself the trouble of also re-doing it. The most frustrating part of this beautiful build, for me, was the video suddenly fading to the end results when I'm standing in my main tower, waiting to build stairs and ladders. Nope. The rest of the video is shots of the finished base, leaving you with no way to get to the other towers/sections. There are no doorways, stairs or ladders included between certain sections leaving many sections of this base inaccessible. If you try to climb to those areas, the fences placed will knock you down so that is a MAJOR thing to consider. From the outside, this base is amazing and beautiful but a little on the dysfunctional side on the inside. Also, archers need crenulated walls to be able to shoot things, otherwise the arrows will hit the wall & not the target, so if that's important to you, change the build as needed! I want to say, I couldn't have built this on my own and super appreciate the video tutorial for helping me out! :D I am going to try to add ladders/stairs on my own! I still love this base and don't regret building it, but did want to be honest about the tricky stuff I ran into!
I like this. I usually start with something small, which I then slowly expand, and this is perfect for that. First the tower and then the wings. After that, the additional buildings and finally the walls between them.
Anyone have tips on when building a castle type fortification wall how to get them to link up when they are following terrain in a non uniform fashion.
@@LyumiLight hi, good job!!! I have a doubt, what is a bazaar tab? I dont have some walls and windows like you have. The bazaar is a mod? or a dlc? Betwen Im using the Age of sorcerory chapter 2.
@@nickvmulken5025 don't know. I have never had problems with purges. I try to build it in a place where there is only one approach to the base and put slaves there to protect
Nice... maybe one of these days Funcom will sell is the Rough Triangle and we can actually start building stuff out of Rough. This whole buying this shit piecemeal sucks... and its stupid.. and just a money grab. It's a good starter base though... maybe in a few years we might have whole building sets we can work with.
Agreed. When they've announced that the dlcs will be splitted, I was actually happy, thought what they mean was separating the building sets and the wearable stuff. But selling every other frame separately is madness
I know you wouldn’t think for two seconds on using mine after being mimicked after yours but it starts off as looking like yours then I start making my own

Couldn’t agree more😅
By the way, chimneys can be replaced with columns, but this will take a lot of time). like in this video

Good stuff! I wish I had an imagination for stuff like this. How are you able to span out so far when building?
This is very well designed Lyumi ❤
Would love to see in other material 😳
I love your beginners build❤️👍!!
Bro, any chance you can model a new viking fort off the For Honor Viking Village viking hall by Laurie Durand?? That would be amazing!

Really nice build !!! I would wish to see that in tier3 pieces !!
Amazing. As always)) just thank you for another great idea.
Одна из лучших твоих работ
Can you explain how you build the foundations please ? I don't know how you did this..
From what dlc are that cool looking stone/wood windows? Can't find them anywere
you need a bazaar tab
@@LyumiLight thx, nice build btw.

ahh I understood are brom the bazaar of the game, buying them, ty.
Why did u use pillars instead of foundations? Nice build
i like the wall texture
Yea its definitely better.
Does this technique makes difference if I use this on my main base for purges ?

some of these building components don't exist in my game.
Are you using mods?
they were sold in the bazaar tab

Not functional. Archers can't shoot over fences that aren't crenulated
Bro just slow the speed so I can actually copy that shii lol making me wanna pause every sec
You can change the video playback speed in TH-cam player settings.
Thanks dude your making the game more fun now with your builds

And yeah keep it up your really good at what you do
