I never reviewed teslas (I’ve only been inside teslas a couple of times as a passenger), so I don’t really know how they “drive”. But I feel NIO is definitely better (upper class) with the amount of tech… quality of interiors… and safety features as well (my ET5 has a crazy amount of Lidar, cameras, sensors… 😎). Did you manage to test both brands already? How did it feel?
Hi mate, I am ET5 owner from China. I am quite agree with points from your videos. Firstly, the handle issue. From driver side, it is fine, but from the passenger side, when I drive fast then they, the passengers always want to grab something, but without handle they may feel less secure. I got complain from my wife and friends about it sometimes. However, it just a small issue. I like the drive experience. I have an Audi A6L, and actually ET5 is more heavier than A6L, but I can feel NT5 is more agile, and of course as an EV, the acceleration is much better and gives more confidence when overtaking. Also as you mentioned the battery swap. In China, we got over 2600 battery swap stations, which make me can travel almost everywhere in China without concerning about charging issue, because in China, millions of EV or hybrid cars have to wait for charging during peak time in highway service area, it may take more than 2 hours. I think if you like NIO, then you should really plan to trip to China and enjoy one with full features as I am not sure if NIO provides fully functionality due to compliance limitation like Nomi GPT and NP+, etc.
Hei Mingmin! Thanks for sharing. I also love the acceleration of the ET5… the driving feels more confident and it’s easy to overtake. The Battery Swaps in Europe are also growing steadily. We already have quite a few ‘power journeys’. What is the longest trip you made in one go? 😁
@@luisportas the longest one is 600km. It took me 8 hours and one battery swap. NOP+ helped a lot and the energy cost just about 14 kWh/100KM. When NT 3.0 publish, I may plan to buy EC6 for family trip.
@@luisportas No, I recently went to Vietnam, there I travelled in the VINFAST cars. Next, I'm going to Thailand, where I might get to see Xpeng. In India, we only have a few BYD cars Seal and ATTO. Now MG Hector has very recently started launching Wuling cars under its brand name. The only closest thing to a Chinese EV I own is 'NIO Shares" Bought them on NYSE. Hope these shares will help me buy the NIO car one day in India. Honestly, I doubt that will even happen.
Don't know why, but I enjoyed this video a lot. It's really informative but in an entertaining way. I have lost the ability to stay focused for too long but I watched this to the end without wanting to change video. Well done and I would absolutely love to buy a Nio. But alas in the UK we are still fighting about somebody is a boy or a girl or any of the 1000s of genders.
I’m glad you liked it!… I only do this for fun, and I look at my ET5 from an architect’s perspective. 😎 Let me know if there are any aspects of the car you’d like me to focus on for the next videos. It feels nice to drive it around 😁 I’ll try to make some longer trips soon. 🗺️🧭 (I hope you get NIOs in the 🇬🇧 soon too)
@@luisportas I have been driving electric cars for almost a decade (August 2015). I have learnt battery preservation and ease of charging are the most important aspect. Nio appears to have solved these 2 crucial problems. Thank you for showing the ease of this.
Right. I love this “swap battery solution”. It’s basically future proofing the vehicles, and allowing them to be upgraded with all new battery tech that is still to come. Super smart
I also hope you get the chance to drive NIO’s soon. I believe NIO already has a North America Headquarters located in Silicon Valley. It’s the advanced research and innovation center in California… You can find the address on Google 😁
great car fr finally a car that can beat tesla

It is such a beautiful Car, and I totally love it. I wish they bring it to India.
It is really beautiful. I hope you get to experience it soon. Have you seen NIOs in any other country? ⚡️🔋
