I love how the trackless system lets them "choreograph" the ride vehicles! So they can switch direction, go in circles, weave in between each other, etc. Great use of technology.
This ride completely blew my mind! Even two years after being in it: I can't get it out of my head. Like, the video doesn't show it that well but.. the part where Tigger bounces and sings his song? The cart you're in bounces as well! It's amazing.
Ya! It uses groundbreaking LPS technology... each car moves in it's own unique way and sometimes even dances in synch to other cars! I thought it was a kiddy ride but was so impressed by the time it ended!
I just get amazed every time I see a trackless system like that knowing where to be and where to go at all times. We need something like this here at Disneyland CA.
Wow, actually a good Pooh ride. The one at Disneyland in CA totally sucks bawls. They should tear that one down right now and rebuilt the Tokyo version there. The sad thing is that a lot of people who visit Tokyo Disneyland who have also been to California Disneyland that don't know that the two Pooh rides are very different may think there the same and skip the Tokyo version.
I remember this being a revolutionary ride because each car is directed with some sort of GPS (it had a different name). Therefore, there is no track, and no two ride experiences are ever exactly the same!
Actually, unlike other rides that use trackless wires (like Hollywood Studios's Tower of Terror, or Universe of Energy, Great Movie Ride, etc., this ride has a matrix of sensors instead, which allows the ride vehicles to move off of a fixed track. That's how the heffalump and woozle scene is possible - the computers know where every vehicle is, and can control each independently in a non-linear fashion.
well, i shouldnt be surprised, i mean, they used the same technology for tower of terror durning the creepy twilight zone part. I just think its cool that you cant tell where your car is going via track following. you are REALLY there for the ride.
So this Pooh ride is like 20 times better than anything I road at Disney World Orlando.....but then again i was with my mother who refused to go on anything good. AND Space Mountain was broken....
This ride is extremely superior to the pooh rides in DL or WDW, because this one was first. This ride was so popular they decided to put it in the other two parks but they could not use the same track or design because all of the ride designs are not owned by the Disney Company. Thus all the rides at theTokyo theme parks can not be reproduced.
My dream is came true, oh my god i'm so obsessed with this ride. If I ever go to Japan, the first thing i made will be going to this disneyland and try this drive. Can they make this ride please in Disneyland Paris? Cause the chance is higher that i will ever be there. France is directly by Germany, so :D (Sorry for the bad grammar, its only school english v.v)
The two different rides aren't (terribly) different...I wish they would re-do the one at WDW now to have a system like this because it looks like a blast!
Absolutely the best dark ride in the world and I have a feeling that not even the mighty Transformers ride at Universal Hollywood will be able to dethrone it as the best dark ride.
I must be going nuts. I didn't notice much of a difference between the first ride and the second ride. I'd love to see more variety in the sequences of the ride.
I enjoy all of your videos. :D with that being said...... For those who are wondering why the United States Disney parks are run down, and other Disney Theme parks in other countries are getting better equipment and or better attractions. It's because here in the states it's all about money, and if an attraction cost a good bit even though it is better quality, they will not pay for it. Other parks like here and in other countries are far better family oriented than here in the states. but this is just my two cents.
This version is awesome! I've only ever been on the ones in America. They're both fine, but they're rather low-tech. The effects in this version are amazing! This is how I wish the American ones were. Maybe someday they'll get an update (at least better animatronics or something)
@Someotherguyuser I doubt that will ever happen. Because if they did bring something to Disneyland themed with Beauty and the Beast using the same technology as the Winnie the Pooh ride in this video, then it would have to be in Fantasyland, and there is just no way they could bring something new to Fantasyland without them removing something, and the rides there are just too original for them to get rid of any of them.
Appreciation aside, this ride must be the easiest to clean if any litter or something manages to get onto the 'track'. Dusting however, must be one heck of a job.
@FlufeeBunee I think its all computer controlled. If you think about it, with our modern technology it's not actually that hard to control a few cars. Considering that I would like to see what happens if one fails. =)
+Disney Magical Universe in the bginning of the video, Adam made a not saying that they went on it twice to show how different two ride-throughs can be with the new trackless technology.
One of the reason why Tokyo Disney Resort is (in my opinion) the best theme park in the world.
I love how the trackless system lets them "choreograph" the ride vehicles! So they can switch direction, go in circles, weave in between each other, etc. Great use of technology.

My favorite ride EVER at Tokyo Disneyland park!!!!
Ya! It uses groundbreaking LPS technology... each car moves in it's own unique way and sometimes even dances in synch to other cars! I thought it was a kiddy ride but was so impressed by the time it ended!
The trackless technology in Tokyo is crazy!
The fact that's there's no track, makes it look like your ACTUALLY in the Hundred Acre Wood!
The California Disneyland version must have had 1% of the budget that this had...
Lol. Totally agree with you.
+Yishai Thau Tigger sings well in Japanese.
The tigger part looks awesome!!
The audio-animatronics are so cool!!! This is probably how a live-action Winnie-the-Pooh movie would look like.
+GeloYellowTV Good thing Alex Ross Perry is writing the script.
78
Welp he looks more like a creepy ass doll
What did you think of the results?
@itselguapo To say "Is this one the same as the Disneyland one" is like asking if porn is the same as having sex.
We need that in Disneyland California!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There’s no space unfortunately, but definitely a whole bunch on the east coast
Why are cool attractions like this exclusive to Tokyo?!
Bc Tokyo Disneyland is not owned by Disney.
I honestly am astounded by this. I adore the Disneyland version because of the charm but this... just blew me away.
I say this one is better than the one at magic kingdom. I like how the pots moved around and such.
I just get amazed every time I see a trackless system like that knowing where to be and where to go at all times. We need something like this here at Disneyland CA.
It is so strange to hear Tigger sing his trademark song in Japanese.
I love how i cant speak japanese but i still watch it
I'm sure everyone knows the Tigger song, so no translation is necessary. But I'm sure something gets lost in translation, as is usually the case.
Winnie the Pooh is pretty universally known, though. You don't need to know Japanese to know what's going on in this ride. :)
This is the future of dark rides folks!
I've been to Tokyo Disneyland and I have to say that it's probably the best theme park in the world.
The animatronics are fantastic on this!

Best ride ever. It is totally worth the plane fare and time spent waiting in line!
Don't judge a book by its cover; Disneyland's is very cute and attractive, but this just looks amazing!
Pretty interesting that a collection of the best rides in a Disney park are in the two parks not owned by Disney. Thank you, Oriental Land Company.
WOW those Animotronics
1:57 Pooh entered the Twilight Zone.
Hahahahah omg
I really think its funny that everything is spoken in Japanese yet all the text from the ride is in English! Great ride.
This is freakin' ADORABLE.
this is the best when you are high
i went to this ride this summer! you took the same route my family and i did!
So funny hearing characters I grew up with speaking Japanese. This ride looks amazing!!
I love the part where the cars just go NUTS and start spinning like crazy. Hopefully, Ratatouille will be half as good as this!
The no track thing just baffles me...And each ride is different. It looks so cute. Makes me want to go to Japan now xD
I agree 100%! It shows how far we've come technology wise!
They have the same screen and animation tech now at the Alice in Wonderland Ride in Disneyland! So at least some elements are making their way over!
well, i shouldnt be surprised, i mean, they used the same technology for tower of terror durning the creepy twilight zone part.
I just think its cool that you cant tell where your car is going via track following.
you are REALLY there for the ride.
Definitely the best ride in Tokyo Disneyland :)
This ride looks so cool
So this Pooh ride is like 20 times better than anything I road at Disney World Orlando.....but then again i was with my mother who refused to go on anything good. AND Space Mountain was broken....
I like the ride at Disney World a lot, but this is AMAZING!
This ride is extremely superior to the pooh rides in DL or WDW, because this one was first. That is a great version of the Winnie the Pooh ride.
The one at Disneyland California is way different but a very good ride there to!
very cool trackless ride
the heffalumps and woozles on this ride don't seem to be as scary.
Very nice ride. But you know, I like our Pooh ride at Disney World just fine.
Great stuff. Thanks for putting it together.
omg, this winnie the pooh ride is so epic!! it's so different from disneyland's!!
It would be awesome if they brought this kind of ride to Disneyland but have it themed to Beauty and the Beast or something.
Lmao, you predicted the beauty and the beast ride
Wow I love disneylands but omg this is a must if I go to Tokyo (and tower of terror)
I prefer the ride motion of the one in Orlando. But the new vehicle is really cool.
My dream is came true, oh my god i'm so obsessed with this ride. If I ever go to Japan, the first thing i made will be going to this disneyland and try this drive.
Can they make this ride please in Disneyland Paris? Cause the chance is higher that i will ever be there. France is directly by Germany, so :D
(Sorry for the bad grammar, its only school english v.v)
oh wow ! So much cooler than the one at DisneyWorld
Andre Segers #5 Pick brought me here
When did he mention this?
Best dark ride in the world. Hands down.
This ride is the definition of "Amazing"
The ride junps in tigger part!!
I must be going nuts. I didn't notice much of a difference between the first ride and the second ride. I'd love to see more variety in the sequences of the ride.
I go to disneyland every year, love there food!
And this is how you do a proper trackless ride: actually tell a story.
WDW needs this version!
wow, the animatronics are WAY better in tokyo than disney world and disneyland ca's versions!
I love how in every Japanese of Disneyland rides
Can Disney make the one in Anaheim like this one please!
No way! This ride looks awesome. It has the same tracks as the tower of terror. It's all about the lasers now-a-days lol
Man, this blows away the one in Disney World in Florida. Why didn't they do that there?
i can't believe they sow different parts of the ride
I live in Kent and you don't know how accurate this is, shit like this always goes down in my local forest. lol
I think they should bring Horizons back to Epcot and use this kind of ride system. It'd be totally cool.
no way this one is WAY different than disneyland! there is no track like this in anahiem, or animatronics like anahiem's winnie the pooh
I MISS GOING TO JAPAN SO MUCH :(
Holy...! How the...?! OMG! Amazing!
I really wish I could ride this at some point in time. Looks awesome.
It would've been nice if they used the same freeness of space they had here in Mystic Manor. Sadly, when I went to Japan this ride was closed :(
Disneyland paris got one to 2014. But only another story. Ratatoulle !! Cant wait
The technology used in this ride is awesome O.O
@Someotherguyuser I doubt that will ever happen. Because if they did bring something to Disneyland themed with Beauty and the Beast using the same technology as the Winnie the Pooh ride in this video, then it would have to be in Fantasyland, and there is just no way they could bring something new to Fantasyland without them removing something, and the rides there are just too original for them to get rid of any of them.

@xrandomxrawkerx no, it uses LPS, Local Positioning System
They all sound so cute in Japanese !
This is what i wish DL CA would re makk next.
Wow, this looks way better than the one in Anaheim. I'm officially jealous.
I can see a future of these vehicles going public. Too noisy for my taste. $130,000,000. This must be one really safe ride!
I absolutely love this, it's the best version of any Winnie-the-Pooh attraction.
But can someone please translate this?? :)
@FlufeeBunee
I think its all computer controlled.
If you think about it, with our modern technology it's not actually that hard to control a few cars. Considering that I would like to see what happens if one fails. =)
the hunny jar does not need rail to operate.. it uses magnet
it's so cute in japanese!! ^^
No, this is its own original thing. WDW's is VERY similar to Disneyland's.
Why is this video played twice?
+Disney Magical Universe in the bginning of the video, Adam made a not saying that they went on it twice to show how different two ride-throughs can be with the new trackless technology.
It's like the American Disneyland is the guinea pig, and every country gets a better version of the ride after they see how much people like it.
😀 such a beautiful ride
Omg its like a bunch of roomba vacuum robots lol awesome!
This literally beats the life out of the shitty Disneyland one and then keeps beating it with its absurd awesomeness into oblivion.
@WeirdPenguin101 There is no track in this ride. The ride system for Pooh's Hunny Hunt is totally 'trackless'.
