A great review of a fantastic boat , cheers John. A proper go anywhere , anytime boat. Stunned by the size of those bollards, they would not be out of place on an ocean going tug. Thanks once again .🚢
I agree, this type of no nonsense steel hulled 8knt cruise speed boat is exactly what I'm interested in owning. Could fit a jetski on the deck with that tender and have piles of fun anywhere you wished to go IMO. Economical too.
A 10mm steel hull, a dayhead in the pilothouse, and a spacious and easily accessible engine room, and a design which probably has a gentle, seakindly motion is exactly what I personally would look for (instead of a planning plastic hull bumping around and falling apart in a hurricane, with an engine room where you need to be a contortionist). In my eyes, this design oozes comfort and safety.
I agree! The only thing I wish it had was another drive engine, yes I know it could/would cut down on range but traveling thousands of NM with 1 engine makes me a little uneasy.
@@DCB1209 Travelling thousands of miles with two wheels situated in such a vulnerable way makes me nervous. Hit a submerged log or deadhead and you've got all kinds of problems you don't have with a single screw that is protected by the hull. Same thing applies if you're trying to squeak through a narrow tidal channel. You have much greater risk of dinging a rock with one of the blades.
I love your tours of these trawler-style explorer yachts. That said, the single head in the accommodations area below decks would be a deal breaker for me. I have no idea why someone would design their boat this way, but to each their own! Thanks again for another great tour.
It's refreshing to see a boat that has been so beautifully maintained, her owners are obviously experienced seamen/women. This boat is one of the rare ones that could tempt this lifelong blue water sailor to convert to motorboats.
This would make a terrific coastline cruiser, especially where the waters are a bit more rough than just being flat. Would feel very safe in this vessel. Many thanks for touring this and the coverage was terrific.
Thanks for showing!) Such boats touch the soul))) And where, at what shipyard was this beauty built?) And how much does it cost now to build such a vessel?) Respect to the owner who built and designed it!!
Nice boat, Its always good to see a proper boat hull, one that is not just one of these modern over sized speed boat hulls. I know the difference between a liner and a cruise ship and so many of these modern so called luxury yachts sit on the water and not in the water. Give me the old tub any time.
superb design and VERY well thought-out!! TOUGH-AS-NAILS design with global possibilities.Enough of everything, and all in the right places! Thank you! Bob.
Thanks for the viewing. A ship as I would like it. I love the engine room and could be there for hours checking everything is ok and cleaning it. Have had a small fishing trawler of 15 x 5 meters built in the 1930s with a Volvo TAMD 70. Fished in Finland and Åland with it in the 80s. Am also a UN Veteran so I like your style.
That's lovely! Great boat with proper seaworthiness. Function over form, but still plenty nice enough. I like all the furuno gear, top quality kit. I'm very taken with that
I really enjoyed this tour and like you, my interest leans towards commercial grade or rated trawlers for their seaworthiness and capabilities. Well done 🥃
Really enjoyed this video, thanks. I like this type of vessel and would feel more at home on her than a gin palace. With that range and go anywhere capability I’d have opted for a wing engine and bunk beds. However, this is a wonderful craft and appreciate your bringing this to us, again thank you 🙏
Love this Boat, very well equiped. but i wonder if i'm the only one a little sad about a wheelhouse without an actual wheel... i know, we don't need it but... come on ! 😅
It has limitations from a typical owners point of view, but they would be bonuses for me. Simple and practical, and for my needs, a single engine is preferable. It would be crewed by my guests who also happen to be close friends. Overall, she looks very sturdy and safe and perfect for our dramatic coast and islands.
Just subscribed. Love boats like this! Although I do like two engines for redundancy/back up purposes. This is a great option for many, I do wonder how much does something like this run in US dollars? God Bless!
I love trawlers. this one with her industrial style and robust construction is beautiful. I particularly enjoyed watching the engine room and the pilot house - how tidy and clean she is in general! Extremely well-maintained; impressive really. The flip side of her to me is the decoration, furniture, lighting, the colours etc. Although I love the minimalistic approach, I found the living areas such as the master cabin and kitchen in particular quite dull.
I really love your boat tours. As someone who relies on a wheelchair to get around, this particular vessel, from what you've shown us, shows some potential for relatively affordable modifications that would allow someone in a wheelchair to get around safely and comfortably. Affordable as in the $40 K to $60 k range to install a couple of stair lifts, some modifications to the floor plans and door sills etc.. Most of the yachts in this range would be prohibitively expensive, if it were even feasible, to modify them for wheelchair accommodation. This is an area you might want to keep in mind when conducting these tours as many of the people who might be considering adopting the yachting lifestyle, and who have the bank accounts required to make this happen, are in that age group where physical ability is often of growing concern. As in most areas of life, catering to this audience is often overlooked.

Is that a hydraulic motor behind the main engine? If so can the generator power it? I just love this vessel. My favorite thing is that I see no television anywhere. That lets me know and like the designers mind and I thoroughly approve, for whatever that's worth. Looks easy to wipe down. Might not suit everyone but for me she's just right. Can the mast be lowered for better bridge clearance?
Obviously a very well looked after ship, It would be helpful to know the approx value although i realise it's not on the market. With regards your name, have you got any relatives from our fishing ports in east Scotland area. Reason being my mate and his family has same name and I've lost touch since they moved up North Scotland. Cheers shipmate. A well presented video, thank you.
Great video and boat. Seems like the trend is people wanting to live aboard and go long distance. I can't help but think that more solar power is needed on these long distance boats in order to be able to stay out longer with less fuel used to operate the electric systems without running a gas powered genset. I like the solar panel trend for that reason. Thanks again.
Beautiful boat, well maintained. I personally would prefer a salon area. The wheelhouse is great, the galley is fantastic, but doesn’t seem to have a area for socializing.
In all aspects a very sensible boat. A bit short in room, and certainly built to the wishes of the present owner. A no nonsense boat for a couple and, may be , a skipper.
I definitely agree, John and I'm quickly falling in love with this style of vessel! 3K NM is that all she can muster, are there any other tanks for fuel, or a away to bring fuel aboard in Jerry Cans to extend her range up to 4K with a decent reserve? Other than her range she's a thick hulled Lass and I see no reason why shouldn't be extremely capable. Fantastic John!!!

There’s no living room and dining room in it two rooms at once
Beautiful, the real deal, TX.
A great review of a fantastic boat , cheers John. A proper go anywhere , anytime boat. Stunned by the size of those bollards, they would not be out of place on an ocean going tug. Thanks once again .🚢
It’s a serious boat with no pretenses, but just its sturdy go anywhere design. Loved it.

Another, Dutch made, sturdy ship. Dutch craftsmanship!!👍👍👍
Built, right, great engine room, all around a,dream boat

I find beauty in practicality and craftsmanship in usefulness. This boat is AWESOME. Would make an amazing bachelor boat.
Who is bachelor ?
Love the looks of this ship. Would be a great boat for the Pacific Northwest.

Built like a tank and gentle enough to enjoy comfort.
Think a deal could happen at 499k?
@@neisjo She is for sale for €1.100.000,- So no😂
She is absolutely stunning! Must be one of the best vessels you can get. She is super pretty!❤

the owners are sailors for sure .
That's objectively a beautiful boat
Looks like a tug more than a trawler. Great passage maker
The new owners will use it as a tug.
YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD ON THIS ONE
Engine room is a dream 😻
This is so rad. I have tons of boats bookmarked from multiple brokers and you are touring all them! Love the channel and content!

Nice one mate

Excellent video! I also love these types of ships ♥
What a lovely vessel cheers shippers ⚓⚓
Love it. It has that tug boat look which I love. First thing I would do though is repaint the outside . I mean black and white, how dull!
Great find!!

This vessel is a true all weather cruiser!
Another great boat
Clean boat!😊
Solid boat! Would feel safe on this !

Its got a pool table, nice.
Beautiful boat 👍👍
Great tour, once again!!! What might be the range of this wonderful beast??? Ooops...just read the Title again. 3000 will work.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🫡
Loved this one. Just some personal touches for improvement. Tks.
Love it... retro looking like old Porsche 911 ;)
More like an old Mercedes Benz 220d
Absolutely love it
That helm station is of my dreams!! I would buy this vessel for that alone! lol The only thing I would add would be a TV/FLIR system.
Looks like new 😮

Cool boat what would people use it for? Fishing?

The boat is sold and now it is called “Robbendoes” and will be used as tugboat with owner captain 👍👍

You don’t buy your Land Rover for comfort. You buy it because it takes you places a luxury car won’t. It is the same in the boat world. 👍
