To put this into perspective, Hela is easily one of the most powerful MCU characters so far. The only other more powerful character i have seen is Dormammu (Surtur is situational).

This is a clap for Hela. She overpowered all of Asgard, including Thor. If it wasn't for the mythological pre-destination of Ragnarok, she was stabbing Surtur to death. Steppenwolf dies in the pre-fight rules reading.

I mean the only reason WW couldn't cut steppenwolf was because of his armor. I'm sure Hela would get through that armor after a few tries and easily pierce his heart. Hela is just too accurate with those and she can create a variety of weapons as we saw throughout the movie. Hela is literally too op and she destroys this dude. She has some of the most impressive feats in the mcu.

I’ve already argued with people about who’s stronger but how on Earth is Hela faster than Steppenwolf? Agility and speed are 2 different things. Hela is more agile but Steppenwolf is wayyy faster. And Hela dominated Thor mainly out of skill. And Steppenwolf has beaten opponents a lot more skilled. He beat WW on multiple occasions who might be a little weaker in terms of strength and is definitely not as durable as Thor but she’s still a lot faster and more skilled. Then he beat Aquaman both underwater without his axe and above water with his axe and won both of those times. And Aquaman isn’t as fast as Thor but he’s definitely as strong as him and like WW is a lot more skilled than Thor. That makes Steppenwolf also more skilled than Hela. And in terms of speed both travel speed and combat speed goes to Steppenwolf as well as reflexes. Hela couldn’t react to Asgardians attacking her and even got stabbed in the heart but she healed from it. Steppenwolf has caught arrows and missiles and destroyed missiles without even looking with ease. Steppenwolf also fought WW and Aquaman at the same time and he managed to focus on WW is is wayyy faster than Hela while still reacting to when Aquaman was going to attack. And all this while being shot at by Cyborg. That makes Steppenwolf wayyyy faster than Hela. Also Hela beat a Thor who was used to having Mjolnir but didn’t have it and therefore Thor used Odin’s Weapon Gungir which he had no mastery of whatsoever. Also when Thor still didn’t know that his power doesn’t come from his hammer but from himself. So yeah outmatching that’s Thor in a fight isn’t impressive. Then in the final fight Valkyrie and Thor fought against Hela and this time Thor was awakened but he didn’t have any weapon. So it still isn’t that impressive for Hela. Steppenwolf is more skilled, faster, a lot more durable, a lot smarter, a lot more experienced, better battle IQ, and overall just the more powerful and better combatant. Only advantage Hela has is agility which isn’t going to help if you can’t even land a hit on him.
@@TheBritishGuy75 I again disagree I would argue that everything Stephen wolf did in justice league hela could do better and hela has thousands of years of experience she conquered the 9 realms alongside Odin she is battle hardened she is just as experienced as Stephen wolf if not more and secondly you never really see Stephen wolf's speed in a fight he's not a speedster he hasn't shown anything like that he hasn't shown he is vastly faster than hela in any way and he hasn't shown he's stronger either hela caught thor's hammer right out of the gate with one hand like it was nothing and then continued to smash it even thanos couldn't do that and nothing you say is going to convince me Stephen wolf could replicate that feat I mean you can't honestly say he's more skilled or experienced than hela you can't say he's faster than hela you can't say he's stronger than hela you can't say he's more durable than hela not from what we've seen and you're forgetting the big advantage hela has in her corner is her blads she can make however many blades she wants at any size she wants if Stephen wolf really proved to be to difficult to beat in hand to hand combat she could just overwhelm him with hundreds of blades with blades as large as mountains she can effectively do whatever she wants with those blades and it's not hard to believe that she could decapitate him with one of those blades I mean if you really want to talk up Stephen wolf the most you can say is that he's hela's physical equal and equal in skill and experience but hela's blades put her over the top if hela goes all out on him he really doesn't have any way to defend against that I mean she fucking caught thor's hammer and smashed it when she wasn't even at full strength she basically overpowered thor and Odin's magic right out of the gate thanos couldn't even do that he couldn't are you honestly going to say anything that Stephen wolf has done is more impressive than that?

Hela conquering 9 realms is impressive but Steppenwolf has conquered and destroyed 100,000 of them. So that makes Steppenwolf wayyy more experienced. Again Hela has shown no impressive skill feats. Steppenwolf has but for some reason you are ignoring them. I literally stated both of their most impressive skill and speed feats and it’s clear Steppenwolf is better at both.
I would like to clarify something. Superman was severely damaged by a nuclear bomb and needed sunlight in order to heal. Just a nuke, in comparison to Thor taking a concentrated blast from a neutron star for multiple minutes. The difference in durability feats are massive and Hela scales above Thor reasonably, so she, in my opinion, scales above Superman and Steppenwolf. If any of this is wrong feel free to correct me
This isn’t a bad take. Thors durability was questionable until that scene and it made him waaaaaay more powerful than he had been portrayed prior. Superman’s nuke scene is as much an homage to Dark Knight Returns as its a durability feat,and honestly made him seem weaker than previously portrayed. MoS showed him flying thru a gravity beam that was terraforming the earth,which is considerably way above a nuke power wise. I guess in the end,the movies are starting to be as inconsistent as the comics are when it comes to these things.
Supes also man handles Steppy,while Thor couldn’t beat Hela if he wanted too,even after the power up. There’s a lot to consider here. Excellent point.

That was a weakened Superman by the way. Resurrected Superman is much stronger. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought a nuclear bomb is much hotter which can reach 100mil Celsius which is way higher than any surface of a star even a neutron star, but that Star feat is impressive. Thor and Hela have extremely high blunt and energy durability, but not on sharp weapons, unless regular Asgard swords are extremely sharp, like how Hela got impailed by one of the guards..
Hela can't lose. She is only destined to die during Ragnarok, and she showed this by healing from basically whatever could actually hurt her. She blade dances Steppenwolf to death.
She wins but we all know that steppenwolf blocked most of her blades lets be real. But hela solo's high diff for me as steppenwolf is a better fighter

There's no proof that Hela (Asgardian Goddess of Death) was killed by Surtur.
It was only foreseen/fate that Surtur would destroy Asgard, and she couldn't stop him.

I say Hela would win this. While their strength, reaction speed, skill and brutality can be considered comparable Hela can do more than Steppenwolf. Her weapon is more diverse being able to summon it as many as she wants, in different sizes such as daggers, swords or titanic sharp pillars. Also she has an insane healing factor being able to withstand impalement and awakened Thor's strongest lightning. The only way to beat her is to destroy her completely in one go like Surtur did and Steppenwolf doesn't have anything to that effect. You can make an argument for his durability and his armor but that would just drag out the inevitable.

Before I watch... This one's easy. I'm going with Hela here, and I don't think it would be close. My thinking, Superman straight up Embarrassed Steppenwolf... and Hela would take down Superman. Hela is nearer to Odin level powerful than even awakened Thor. Toy with him for an hour or end it in a few seconds, the fight would only last as long as Hela would want it to.

She wouldn't need to redirect it herself cause she easily summoned her weapons far quicker than Aries and lightning definitely has no true effect on her. If they were going toe to toe it would be a hell of a fight I'm sure but Hela seems much quicker than Aries and reacts much quicker. Ares has the reaction speed in the range of WW. Hela's projectiles are not even close to be fast enough to hit someone with bullettimer reaction speed.

Hela was pretty much immortal while on Asgard. If they don't fight there, she probably won't heal from wounds like that. And Steppenwolf was able to endure pretty much every attack while his armor was still on; once Superman managed to peel it off (something it took him quite the effort) he was far more vulnerable to attacks (Wonder Woman's sword and Aquaman's trident managed to hurt him quite easily, Hela's blades probably would do the same). I would give it to Hela if they fight on Asgard (if their fight doesn't destroy Asgard, that is, a likely possibility since Steppenwolf VS Doomsday destroyed a moon), but to Steppenwolf if they fight elsewhere. Great fight though.

Odin banished her and no one and absolutely NO ONE ever stated that Hela could beat Odin. It was Orin’s power that kept her imprisoned and when he died, his magic was no longer able to hold her, so it’s clear that Odin was stronger than Hela.
Usually you banish someone you can't defeat or keep down. I think Odin was only able to seal her away and probably would have struggled.
Patrick Lafontaine highly doubt that he couldn’t outright get rid of her. Odin probably didn’t want to kill her, and instead chose to eternally punish her by banishment. If she is in fact dead due to Surtur killing her, then in that respect, Odin could have done the same, since he and surtur are considered equals.
Patrick Lafontaine and also, you can’t banish someone more powerful than you. So if she were more powerful, his banishment wouldn’t work. Considering that he has absolute dominion in Asgard, that in and of itself means he has to be more powerful.
@@byronbostick4310 Surtur is destined to destroy Asgard. Imprisoning or sealing her away is usually something you do when you can't outright beat them or destroy them . You see this in many movies with powerful entities. Seal them away until disturbed or set free somehow.
