I give my dog sardines. She used to love the ones in spicy tomato sauce, but I noticed they had sugar in the sauce, so stopped that as she got older. Nowadays I mash a dollop of natural peanut butter with the sardines, she loves that!
Nice 👍 satay sardines! Sardines were the best treat for recall when he was younger. Mines gone right off peanut butter now, I know some of the cheaper peanut butters can be toxic to dogs. Thanks for watching, Paul
Just stumbled across this video and your Channel. Perfect pace of film making - very chilled. Love the content and now I want to take my canoe to Thetford. Only ever taken my bike there, so far. I've hit Subscribe and will watch your back catalogue now. Thanks Paul - Good stuff 👍
Thank you Lee 👍 It's a nice stretch of calm river and a great way to spend the day. Thanks for your support. There is a give away in my last video if you're interested (a firebox stove) All the best, Paul.
Really pleased you got to see a bit of wild life Paul. Always good to see the blue flash of a Kingfisher. That was a mellow time on the river. I was going to say not so for your dog but then that is their good time cow pat and all. Well, all the best. Mark P.S saw two Otters on my 150 mile Wye Valley Walk - this is the title of the video/links not working: Wye Valley Walk | Day 2-3 | Awesome Everything | Pont Rhydgaled to the Marteg & Gilfach 44mins 13 sec. Well, hope you're weekend has gone well and the baby is well. Mark
Thank you Tim. It was a enjoyable day! Wish you'd of been swimming alongside 😂 Beautiful birds, but so elusive! Just lots of clips of me getting excited about seeing a kingfisher and failing to get a close up or show up on camera 😂 but that's wildlife I suppose!
I thought so, like something from war of the worlds. I was going to talk about the Hazzards of using a flint anchor in an inflatable and not to use bread to mend a puncture but forgot 😂
Brandon boy hey 🙄😂 awesome video Paul, beautiful stretch of river mate. I was gonna say before you fished that looks very weedy. The pike season has just started so the weed shouldn't be a problem much longer. We will have to have a pike session soon. Lots of wildlife there mate. I know what you mean about the otters mate. Best place is Norwich city center 😂 alive with them. Great vid. Enjoyed this very much fella. 👊
😂 Yes, Brandon boy unfortunately Some bits were very weedy, other bits not so bad. Would be good to do a fish together sometime 👍 Glad you enjoyed it and cheers for watching! 😊
Nice paul, lovely stretch of the river. I’d love to see an otter, only ever seen one in the wild. Nelson is like that when I go to shoot my catapult... he thinks there’ll be a pigeon to go get! 😂 Nice video mate All the best Ash 🏕
Thanks Ash, cheers for watching. Would of been nice to see an otter, but didn't really expect to. 😂 I don't have that problem as I never hit anything 😂
Lovely. I used to live just a couple of hundred yards from the Little Ouse in Thetford. That's a shame I never thought of buying a canoe - I just spent most of my youth saying how bored I was in Thetford instead of taking advantage of all that nature had to offer.
😂 I did quite a few times with my mates when we were young. I remember one particularly disastrous occasion when the flint anchor we made punctured our inflatable half way down 😂 But I know what you mean. We rarely appreciate what is on our doorstep when growing up. Take care, Paul.
This is the car park and where I put in 52.416324,0.733886 it will save you a portage. Alternatively you could put in at butten island if you want to paddle through town. I'm not local anymore, but I know it was very weedy a few weeks back which would make the trip awful. (hopefully cleared now) If you're on Facebook have a look at the east anglian canoe and kayak group and ask. Also, If you search on the group, I put a map in the comments of my route should that help. All the best, Paul
Hello, thanks for watching. But, I can't remember specifically on that trip now, sorry. I used to see them regularly at St Helens picnic site sitting just beneath the brown bridge, but it does get really busy there now, still worth a look, but I would probably try upstream of there now. All the best, Paul.
Fab. I’m looking to try a paddle (SUP) from Thetford towards Brandon & back again tomorrow on my way to work. Where did you launch? Are the portages easy? How fast flowing is it as I’ll have to go back to the car upstream!
Lovely film.
Thank you, I've paddle it many times but have moved away since. I believe it's extremely weedy at present.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!

So enjoy your videos Paul. Very relaxing. I love the sounds of the water, birds, etc and seeing Indy enjoying the water brings back fond memories.
Thank you Sandra 👍
It a lovely little stretch of river. I couldn't keep him out of the water if I tried 😂
Take care, Paul

Yet another wonderful vid, Paul. Tranquility itself and so many Kingfishers! Beautiful stretch of river and a perfect day for it 😊

Thank you! It is a pleasant stretch. Had a quick look at your waveney trip, looks good. Dropped you a sub to watch later 👍

When Nature Pauls ah! Nice one mate thank you! Yea, it’s a beautiful part of the world. We have a new video up this evening too!
Great vid Paul, very calming. Can you recommend a good put in / parking spot at the Thetford end? atb

The grid reference is the car park next to Grace Church on Canterbury way 👍
