Imagine they’ll get 5th of 6th / 7th this season . They needed a bigger squad for europe and they haven’t got it .
I feel they’ve dropped too many point early to challenge near the top .
@@Matthew9818 You are correct, I think everyone agrees that the squad is a bit light to be competitive in the league & the CL. They are however putting up a fantastic effort to do so to this point.
A successful season would be to qualify again for the CL which would allow them to invest in the team & continue their growth financially which they need to do to allow further investment in the team in keeping with the financial fair play rules.
So far the new owners are doing everything right & I’m sure that Newcastle will see their efforts rewarded with a trophy in the next 3-5 years.

I don't think I've ever been able to confidently say before that Newcastle are miles ahead of Man Utd.
Man Utd has always been outplayed by literally every team they played, Fergie just used to somehow end up winning most of those games but these days, they get outplayed and the results also go against them.
Copenhagen and Galatasaray are just latest examples and now Newcastle, Fergie was winning those games handsomely even on a bad day.
And Dortmund are miles ahead of Newcastle! Period

Beating these teams with practically half of our reserves. Brilliant management from Howe to pick the same team and have them play at this intensity. I think we're the fittest team in the prem by some margin and once the full squad is available, to be able to swap some players after 60/65 minutes will be even better. Howay the lads!
