- If you guy haven’t seen it already check out my Outcast 8s coke can 2028 800kv max5 build ..I love to recycle my take out system and overpower my smaller rc cars and using this outside 8s 1/5 scale system to power a Felony 6s to 8s factory swap is no different...as you can see everything bolted up with the exception of the motor mount I use one from eBay but the esc and 1250kv motor all fit in the factory location perfectly see how I did it in this video and comment below ,Do you think arrma had already tested this set up in a felony making it 8s ??? Allowing us to upgrade are 6s rtr version to 8s for some speed run fun 🤔to me it seems this was Arrma plan all along but let me know below in the comments what you think 🤔 is this something you would bye as a rtr or will you do this to your felony? I have been running my Felony on 8S for a while with that speed kit in it. The Horizon Hobby part number for the speed kit is SPMXSEMC06 for anyone that is interested. I am running the speed pinion on it and am continuously getting between 95 and 103 miles an hour depending on factors such as air density and road/tire temps. I am running GRP S7 tires on the car but seem to get just a bit better speed out of my silver hoons even though they don't last as long as the GRPs. The batteries that I am using are the 7200 MAH 80C Zeee lipos that Amazon sells. My biggest issue is taking in to account the greater braking distance due to the greater speed and heavier batteries. Kissing the curb after miss judging the braking distance left me with a tweaked chassis and some other mangled parts. That was a mildly expensive lesson.
Don't feel bad. I did the same thing after hitting the curb at 75. All new front end parts. I've also had a roll over and honestly my car looks like hell and I can't stand it. I have bought clear a replacement from proline but I've not had the time to prep and paint everything. So I'm trying to learn to be okay with running this ugly shell because I'm scared that as soon as I finish this new body I'll have an issue and it'll get messed up too. I also bought the corvette body for this car but I'm not ready to make the conversion. I think I might just buy another Felony to do that.
Earl is the best wrench in the rc market he talks and does the best work.I also like rc guy he Adds great comments to his vids. and he has a great personality. im 77 and still enjoy rc.for 40 + years.

Great video! I have noticed the same thing, on other Arrma vehicles. Different esc will bolt right up. I haven’t used this system in a felony or infraction but can’t wait for you to test it! Always very informative videos, I do a lot of trial and error and you help cut a little bit of that out for me. Thanks.

May have to make this change to my felony one day. I have an infraction I can keep 6s. Might be fun to have a monster speed car. I can’t believe the gearing u put in that. Can’t wait to see the speed you get from it. Might light a fire under me to make my build the same
I took the esc and motor out of my 8s kraton and did this. Took stock speeds to 80. The 8s ESC drops right in... Great video Earl.

I went Spektrum 8s on my Infraction V2 and it's amazing. Easily does 90 without overheating It's been that way for most of the time I've had it. I'll run for 30 min with my zee 9000 mAh packs without any heat issues. 👊👊👍👍

I ran my felony once and then put that setup in there now I just got to get my hearing right for 100mph and if you buy that setup it says on the box used for arrma 1/7 speed cars so it’s meant to fit

Yes 8s ran a few time never overheated but really hard to control

Solid setup. The 1250KV fits in my Infraction/Limitless conversion I just had to use the original slider mount but I'm having a few questions? I've been told that you can't use a Limitless spool in the FELONY due to the different size tires/gear ratio? I was told you definitely have to use the center diff to prevent damage or the front diff spinning faster than the rear? 🤷🏾♂️ I'm curious to see how this runs Earl. The stock 8s motor will fit when you cut the body mount nub off with a Dremel.
Not sure what that means the stock motor mount doesn’t fit an 8s motor bolt pattern 🤔🤔
I think you'll find that the tooling for the injection molding is used for both the 6s and 8s systems, it's not a bad way to go about upgrading to an 8s system 👍what's the price difference between this and the castle mmx8s set-up?

You didn’t even try the stock motor mount I have a 1717 in my limitless and could run a 28t pinion if I wanted also you keep the easy access of the stock one😂😂😂
I tried the insert it didn’t fit the stock outcast mount I used on my outcast coke can I don’t have a stock mount 🤔🤔

I want a fast rtr 8s car what do you recommend
Idk any 8s rtr speed cars all are 6s that are around 90 mph with no mods even the xo1 doesn’t run 100 mph without changing gears and unlocking the esc the infraction V2 with just the pinion upgrades does 95 mph like the felony rtr but you have to add the speed gear to them 🤛🤛

Arrma cars need to be broken in. 12 packs. The shims for the diff would fit after broken in.

@@earlmoorhead5555 so I had been a die hard Traxxas fan from the beginning of my rc career. I recently bought my first Aarma ( I had to what all the hype was about) I know now ! I’m still an avid Traxxas fan. Now I’m both . Aarma makes a quality product. I think Aarma might be planning a 8s infraction, limitless, felony down the line. They are definitely capable of making the fastest rtr. Traxxas needs to step up their game that’s for sure. And thank you for your videos you are very helpful to all of trying to figure out how to go fast . Much appreciated
