- I wanted to see how hard it would be for arrma to build a 100 mph rtr speed car with product they already have ? Is it possible? And how good would it be ? All questions you’ll find the answer to here in this video & can we make it better then a traxxas XO-1 out of the box as traxxas fastest rtr is allready an old platform and the felony-limitless-infraction I feel is way better in today’s technology 🤔thanks for watching subscribe for more crazy build and running video
I also think this is the best setup for a rtr Felony or Infraction.
The XO-1 is much more difficult at high speed.
This weekend I'm going to test 8s with a Max6 and the standard 2050kv BLX in the Infraction.
Now I'm getting 94mph at 6s and a 29t pinion.

Yes Earl after all the work you put into any of your rigs this one included do you run with steering trim or do you prefer to build it out and not need it until a crash 🤔 the way this ran true I had to ask as most people say that’s what it’s for tho I prefer to build it out
I build my rc to run I don’t wait for a crash to run another rc car I run them all test tune build repeat 💪💪💯💯🤛🤛

Driftomanic used the same esc but with the factory motor on 6s and broke 100mph easier, which if they were to do it they would just put the 160amp esc and a 27t instead of the included 25t.
He was having a bad cut off issue to till he installed bigger batteries and a cap pack he picked up almost 10 mph after that in a parking lot 🔥🔥🔥
I did 101mph with stock electronics in the 6s Typhon.

Hey Boss, can you run a spool in a felony without changing the F/R differentials? Since the Rear tires are bigger don't you need the diff in the center to allow the front and rear tires to moves at different rates? Thanks for your help.

hobbywing has low voltage cutoff and i always thought cap paks were to protact from short wont u loose vtage thru them
The caps take a second to fill and they won’t discharge intill needed under full trigger just the punch or hard hit the before you can fully come off trigger there full again it’s a ripple effect in voltage the caps stop from happening and it will protect the esc some voltage loss under these conditions 💯💯👍👍👍

Splits the load but it will be really heavy for bashing

Yea I keep seeing that esc has NO break. Much be bcs it’s meant to be paired with a lower KV motor with a smaller opinion which is a higher torque combo. If you put the 150amp esc on the Kraton motor and pinion the break would be soo strong the truck will do a front flip. My guess…
Yea they cut off all the time, it’s only 10 more amps than the stock felon esc. It’s not designed for high amp rates , throttle nor brakes bcs it’s built to run with a lower kv motor. It might run better with the matching Kraton or outlast motor.

So when you get the arma felon, you get it just like what we see here minus the extra mini battery pack? and.... it needs to be (setup) and go through all the steps you went through? Does it come with that small tuner or do we need to buy it and DO WE NEED IT to run this car out the box? Does it come with software and or any harness cables to do any programming if we dont have the mini programmer? Ive seen this car run different from this one ran on this video but that unboxing video didnt show anything about tune or program.... Im looking into buying another rc but instead of staying team associated Im looking at Arma's collection bcs team associated is bugg'n with their discontinued modles and parts availability. So what does it take to get this bad boy felon running right? Because not every Arma RTR kit is like that is it?

@@earlmoorhead5555 .....8s, demo.... so it is a 6s out the box then.. IDK if its 8s ''capable'' out the box or if there is some programming that needs to be done when running 8 cells. How much of the vehicle electronics are still factory? Ill watch this again,... thanks for the replies.
Yes 6s rtr is what they make as of now I took the outcast 8s system and installed it to see what it would run speed wise without heat cut out 💯💯
@@earlmoorhead5555 ..... I just bought the felony yesterday lol. I heard that the break percentage n the esc is set to like 35% out the manufacturer? Is that true and accurate? Looking at the manual to make sure I have it at 100%.
when using that program box. on cutoff mode what is the setn so it doesnt go below 3.8 volts. Thankyou
Auto cut won’t go below 50 % battery life that should be 3.8 v a cell 🤛🤛🤛
What's the deal with the cap packs no one can explain this to me what's there purpose??? Most ppl tell me you don't need them
Cap packs are for voltage drop supplied from the batteries if the esc need more power because the batteries can’t support the punch or top end gear load the caps discharge to let the battery recover

I just bought one thinking it was a 6s only to find out its setup for 8s..only paid 350 for it .
What motor is it and is it stock motor mount i just ask but i have the same rc but a roller because idnk if i make it 6s or 8s

I have a question I've built a monster but don't want to let her go if she's not ready, I put spool on have million front back but even with the gear difference the tires run at different speeds not huge diff but still a difference have you have any issues with this or should I swap the limitless rear end and get diff wheels? I’ve never speed run anything but a limitless platform as a monster build to go over the 150mph range I’d really try and make the differential and tire the same to get a serious speed car going

i have often wondered why Arrma is allowing Traxxas to be the fastest. It would be so easy for them to throw together a faster rig, so why dont they?

Definitely not bad for a stock system and its a lot more stable platform than the xo1, I haven't had my xo1 out since I've got my first arrma infraction. Since seeing the problems you had with some of the tyres I've been re-glueing my new tyres before using them👍😎

What is the function of the “cap pack”?
To feed the esc power when the battery falls off on a full trigger pull
I think the kraton 8s could do with some basher queen upgrades to get the weight down a little. I think the weight is the biggest problem with the kraton.
I also put my brakes at 100% and adjust them on the radio

What's a cap pack for?
It help support the voltage drop in battery from using tall gearing it’s called the ripple effect so the esc get the added voltage and doesn’t starve for it and catch fire

I see a lot of these cutting out with the speed gears. I slap max 6 in if I’m keeping it stock. Issue goes away. I run 70-100 c batteries. It’s BS they put in a crap Esc. That’s my opinion. It’s only good for smaller gearing. I put those factory in non speed cars. 100 is good! Great video Earl!

If you need more range keeping it all Spektrum you need the SR6110AT receiver you can BIND your stock transmitter or a DX5R transmitter it gives good range because of having a longer receiver aerial, I have tested it on my 30degrees North Super Desert Truck with the stock SR6100AT receiver then the one mentioned I could tell, straight away. So was it temprature or an range issue
Wasn’t range and wasn’t temp it was load as many ppl have the same issue with hobbywing product esc not good for speed ripping 👍👍💯💯💯

What does right out of the box mean?
Open the box and run it no changes no end points setting up no slipper clutch adjustment just put a battery and run it to see if they set up alignment and tuned the clutch to run good 💯💯💯just like a kid would do 💯💯

I want to run same gearing I am on 6s system will it stay alot cooler on 8s system? I'm just running the optional pinion and hit 93 mph.
8s depending on weight and esc you use kv plays a big part on heat but game changer fan keep mine cool 💯💯
