I think the real traumatic stuff that happened to Caelyn affected her mental state during the miss USA pageant and Hannah probably didn't understand why she was acting different and retaliated.

I'm more inclined to believe Hannah actually. Not to sound mean but Hannah is way to emotionally fragile and a bit ditzy to be smart enough to try to sabotage Caelynn. So she's anxious and nervous. To me that's not the demeanor of a manipulative person. Caelynn on the other hand is good with her words, she's crying in front of Colton and the other girls getting their sympathy... that seems more manipulative to me.

Caelynn is also a sexual assault survivor and I can see how under a lot of stress she would be very emotional. I think that there is probably some truth to both of their stories, and they misunderstood each other's behavior under stress. Also, Hannah brought all of this upon herself, and Caelynn never made any drama from it until she was forced to defend herself. As someone who has been in a similar situation when you feel like someone is dragging your character beyond your control, yes feelings get hurt and you cry lol.

I think they just don't see eye to eye, and that makes them both look bad. You can see by Hannah's first date she gets really really nervous and anxious in situations like that and hides behind laughter and chokes on her words. Caelynn probably experienced that from rooming with her, after Hannah didn't place she was probably really upset and Caelynn didn't expect for Hannah to act whatever way she acted. These girls lived together during a competition so they only knew each other on a surface level, I can see Caelynn being completely blindsided by Hannah's reaction to not being placed because she only got to see a certain side of her, because of this she probably didn't know how to console her and Hannah took it the wrong way. I have a feeling that's all this is.
