    Leave iginla off the list...hes not top 5...end of discussion.
    Hes ranked around 10th ...take the best player available not what you think they need

    They will go for Lindstrom, if not MAYBE Tij.
    I think Cayden might still be there.

    It is the same problem the last two years, Montreal will draft 5th but most elite players will be gone top4. Last year, Montreal tried hard to trade up to get Will Smith but failed; and this year, they may lose Lindstrom to Anaheim or Columbus. According to several "internnet" scouts, Lindstrom sholud be better than Iginla...but it does not make Iginla a bad pick either !!!

      Habs should pick 2.3 or 4 by trading pick #24 and Matheson for 1 of those picks so lets talk to Chicago, Anaheim, or Columbus and pick what fits and be prepared to add to our #5 pick and Add 2 prime talents to our line up. Management will pick the best 2 that fits their plans!

    The odds that Demidov and Lindstrom* will leave between 2 and 4 are very high. In these circumstances my preference is undoubtedly Tij Iginla who has all the facets to be an important contribution to the future success of the Habs for several years. With his character on the ice, the elevation of his performances in front of strong competition and the many comments on his personality off the ice make Tij Iginla a “natural” Habs. I vote Tij!
    * I am very impressed with Lindstrom but I believe Tij Iginla is tiptoeing gradually and may have passed Lindstrom. The question for Gorton, Hughes, Bobrov and Lapointe may be who they will be comfortable working with for at least the next ten years. I think it's Iginla.

      For what it's worth, Coach Frenchy agrees with you. He thinks Lindstrom is too injury prone, and he loves Tij.
      My view is that Kent Hughes and his team forgot more about assessing young talent than I'll ever know, and by now every Habs fan should have learned to give them the benefit of the doubt.

      @@dougiesherwin9591 I assume Lindstrom is fit to continue his career because there is no "pattern" of injuries and for the rest it would require a medical evaluation which will perhaps come at the combine. I don't understand your second paragraph which appears contradictory in terms. I have complete confidence in the Habs recruiting team. Since Serge Savard I had no confidence, but I am now confident the Montreal Canadiens will soon be positioned for glory.

      Iginla's stock has been rising and for good reason but the size and physicality of Lindstrom will keep him ahead even if their offensive numbers become similar. That being said if I doubt anyone complains too much if the Habs pick him....if Lindstrom and Demidov are off the table.

    • @danielmontreal007

      @@AnaheimRob 👍🏼 Lindstrom or Iginla will probably be drafted between two and four therefore maybe not available for Montreal. Tij is six feet tall and was born August 4th (17yo) and will probably gain 1 or 2 inches. At 6'1'' did Jérome Iginla have a stature problem? Size and weight will not be a problem for Tij Iginla.
      PS: Jerome was 200 to 210 during his career and Tij is now at 185 and could go up to 195 or a bit more. We can already see that he is solid.

      If Chicago takes Levshunov, l would not be surprised that Demidov falls a few spots...to Montreal !!!

  • @AnaheimRob
    @AnaheimRob 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Odds are the Hawks will pick Demidov so if the Habs think Lindstrom is their guy they will have to make a trade for him. A trade with the Ducks would guarantee them that pick...The Ducks most likely want Levshunov but if they pick fifth they will probably lose that player to the Blue Jackets so the Habs would have to give up a good amount to secure that third pick.

    This year's d-men are much better than last year and last year's forwards were much better (Michkov and Benson). The habs di EVERYTHING wrong, selecting Reinbacker last year (Ranked 15th) and tnis year they willbe selecting a forward ranked lower that 10th because thaere arn't any available.
    End result we will have a ranked 15th defenseman and. Ranked 11th Forward. Good job Habs👍

    • @AnaheimRob
      @AnaheimRob 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If they develop well it really doesn't matter. Should the Habs picked Michkov last year, yeah, but they hold too much against Reinbacker. He is going to be good.

      @RB-wg3qm 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are 100% wrong.
      I understand we wanted offense, I don't disagree. I wanted Mishkov last year too and was disappointed.
      But now that I look back...
      They took Slaf > Wright.
      Reinbacher > Mishkov.
      It was not only skill, but size & character.
      They are not looking for only skill like the Leafs, but size, character, toughness with the skill like BOS & COL.
