Awesome video! My work is just a 20 minute drive from home, so my get home bag usually is a rain poncho, some extra warm pants and sweater, gloves and a beanie. It’s not far to walk but sometimes it can get really cold here in Sweden.
I have the same numbness and pain in my hands caused by the same reason. Sometimes when driving to work in the morning, I can't even feel the steering wheel. I never thought about going through the VA since I've been out 30 years now, and I know how they are. I like what you said about not everyone's bag is the same. Some people watch these get home bag videos and copy what they see. Different people have different needs. Great video, and great channel brother!
I know you recall all those miles under a ruck hearing “ounces equal pounds and pounds equal pain”. Lol. I’d ditch the axe, pry bar and knives for one tool. Like the Tops pry knife or the K Bar pry knife. Now I gotta check out that filtration bottle. Beats carrying my MSR hand pump and nalgene!!
