Excellent, thank you. I have photographed as a hobby for 20 years and just now decided to get a decent beginner camera again and start learning more. You answered so many questions in one video. Also, very relaxing to listen and watch this.
One of the great things about photography is that there’s no real correct photograph , it’s always a choice between artistic and technical. That’s what makes photography so challenging and fun
Hey, I'm going to buy my first "professional" camera. Do you think the 2000D is a good beginner camera? I mostly want to take it with me travelling and for motorcycle / car pictures.
For one starting out it might good to learn on the kit lens be that the 18-55 lens. Many say negative things about the kit lens but if one know how to use it, it should produce good images.
the only drawback here is of course when it comes in lowlight situation, the kit lens is so noisy even at F3.5, the cheap 75-300 F4-5.6 at same lighting has less noise than that kit lens, meaning the lens is also poor quality
If I recall correctly, most of the B-roll of the 18-55mm lens was shot with a Canon 77D + EF-S 18-55mm, and the footage of the EF 50mm f1.8 was shot with a Canon R5 + RF 15-35mm f2.8 L IS USM.
Hey Christian, I currently use a 1500D from canon but would like to upgrade, 7d mkii or 77d are the ones in considering anything you'd recommend around that price Mostly for landscapes and portraits, very few videos... Thanks
For landscapes and portraits, both would do just fine. I’d probably take the 7D mkII between the two, as it has more AF points, and it is a little bit more weather sealed :)
My 18 to 55 kit lens does not have image stabilization and as far as I know the one that I have is the only one I've ever heard of that doesn't but surely there are others out there that don't.
Hi Christian! I think you get more views on a "how to" audio video. I hope you are working on one. I could use the help with my low volume - high noise videos! 🙂

A 2000D is a great camera to start off with, yes :)
For one starting out it might good to learn on the kit lens be that the 18-55 lens. Many say negative things about the kit lens but if one know how to use it, it should produce good images.

What camera and lenses did you shoot this video with? Not talking about the lenses mentioned in the video.
If I recall correctly, most of the B-roll of the 18-55mm lens was shot with a Canon 77D + EF-S 18-55mm, and the footage of the EF 50mm f1.8 was shot with a Canon R5 + RF 15-35mm f2.8 L IS USM.
This was an awesome video. Learned a lot
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful :D
thanks for the comparison, ur videos are great with a good quality
Thanks, I’m glad you like them!
Hi!
Thanks for your explanations! Still watching and learning..
One question please:
Which one is better for landscape photography?
Hey what do you think about the canon eos 100d in 2024
Hey Christian, I currently use a 1500D from canon but would like to upgrade, 7d mkii or 77d are the ones in considering anything you'd recommend around that price
Mostly for landscapes and portraits, very few videos...

Oh ok tysm!
My 18 to 55 kit lens does not have image stabilization and as far as I know the one that I have is the only one I've ever heard of that doesn't but surely there are others out there that don't.
There is a version of the 18-55mm kit lens that does have IS :)
