I actually don’t hate this, it fascinates me that Gucci brought this eerie vibe to one of their shows. I mean the clothing was on point, and the models expressions fit the theme superbly. I must say it spooked me a little when those two models were holding their own heads, but that still added in to the feeling of the fashion show. I like how it’s not only about the clothing but adds it’s own story, and theme I guess. The music choice was great, giving a Halloween/ American Horror Story vibe. Gucci really took a step forward by adding art and music to their fashion. 10 out of 10

Let's be real....these were either things you could literally find in a second hand store or they were completely unwearable. The aesthetic was the innovation, and now that's not innovative anymore. It seems to become more and more disjointed as well. Thinking back to Michele's first few collections, they were nutty, but they had focus and purpose....this just looks like he latched onto the raggle-taggle aesthetic that created such buzz for the new Gucci that he felt he had to amp it up. Some of the pieces hiding in there were exquisite, and really could have grounded his vision. When an aesthetic is off-putting, I resolve myself to dissect the looks and find the beauty in the individual pieces, but I really had to dig to find something unique and worth the investment. That's really the thing with some of his collections, the ingenuity really lies only in how he puts very basic articles of clothing together, not the design process. He's doing so well sending piles of clothing down the runway, though, why would he change?
Take the entire setting - an operating theatre. merging together what doesn't go together, and it works. Yes not wearable for the usual audience, but genius because I see the statement beyond the fashion aspect. The entire collection is humanity. Unity is the way forward
I'm not here for the set, the models, the styling, the statement....I'm here for the clothes. I didn't see a single garment that made my heart beat any faster. Wearability is subjective....physically, anyone could wear these clothes, but they're not made for someone to go to Gucci, pick it up, and wear it in their daily life. That's how I measure wearability. Is it practical? For me, when clothes are both innovative and wearable, they're the most successful as statements of fashion. When you break this collection down, there's nothing really that innovative or wearable. The statement might be apropos, but the garments don't support it. I need style and substance.
Actually this collection is also a collaboration with the MLB, most of the clothing was made specific for this reason, such as the hats, loafers and other clothing etc. So there is actually a way it can be incorporated as wearable and still subtle at the same time.

For me it didn’t make sense until after seeing the collection of why he used it,” it symbolizes a pivotal moment of chaos, the blowing up together all these references like sneaker culture, grunge, sultans, Sikhs, Frida Khalo, psychiatric wards symbolized by the models holding those matching doll heads, and mysterious creatures like baby dragons, the renaissance, Coco Chanel’s famous tweed suits, chinoiserie, those ski mask taken straight from Dumb Donald of Fat Albert, Himalayan snowman, Catholicism, 1940’s silhouettes, are you starting to see the picture....the references go on and on and on like a time bomb. Then there’s the other overt over-looming factor, the show space is a doctors office...Presumably a dental office set fast in a mental institution with a prescription for high-end fashion.

I wished this lived up to the 'Fashion Show Teaser'. The setting was amazing as was the background colour but a 5-minute show, which ended with Alessandro taking a bow and no final close of the full collection was very confusing. Some great pieces and some not so great pieces. I hope Alessandro is not getting a God complex. Oh, please space the models out better, messy.

It's not just red, there are other variances of red that a designer has thought about, long time ago, to incorporate into the clothes. Some of these are sold as they are, some aren't, some inspire other people to design in similar couture, colour etc.

But the collection is weak and staid and predictable and largely unwearable. The make is poor - indian embroideries are not good but they are cheap - which is something you'd not have been able to say about Mr Michele's predecessors.
Also, only an undereducated idiot would believe in anything you see today in fashion being original, it just means you've not looked far back enough to find what they've copied.

I wished this lived up to the 'Fashion Show Teaser'. The setting was amazing as was the background colour but a 5-minute show, which ended with Alessandro taking a bow and no final close of the full collection was very confusing. Some great pieces and some not so great pieces. I hope Alessandro is not getting a God complex. Oh, please space the models out better, messy.

It's not just red, there are other variances of red that a designer has thought about, long time ago, to incorporate into the clothes. Some of these are sold as they are, some aren't, some inspire other people to design in similar couture, colour etc.
