- From Mr Robot Season 1 Episode 9 "eps1.8_m1rr0r1ng.qt" A flashback shows a young Elliot and his father in his computer repair shop "Mr. Robot". After the birth of their child, Joanna tells Tyrell that he needs to keep in control if he "wants to be part of this family". Tyrell is fired from E Corp - his final act is to prevent Gideon from reverting the honeypot. Mr. Robot takes a trip with Elliot to his childhood home. Angry, Elliot pushes Mr. Robot out of a window and then takes him to a graveyard. Mr. Robot tells Elliot not to let Angela and Darlene "get rid of him", and that he will always love him. When they arrive, Elliot, alone at the grave of his father, realizes he had taken on his dead father's persona the entire time, saying "I am Mr. Robot". Terry Colby offers Angela a job at E Corp. Elliot now doubts the continuation of his Mr. Robot/fsociety plan. Tyrell threatens Elliot about fsociety's plan - Elliot takes Tyrell to the arcade and understands that he will carry on with the hack. They agree to work together, but Elliot glances over to the popcorn machine where Darlene's gun is hidden.

After watching season 4, this conversation hits very differently. You can even see the pain in Mr. Robot's face as he's intentionally dodging the real truth and feeds him that his mother was the real monster in Elliot's childhood.

My father died like 4 years before I watched Mr Robot. All of a sudden , about 2 weeks after I told him I was gonna be a father, he died while I was faraway, in another country. I have to say, some of those scenes made me think about him so much, and even I know this was from a terrible trauma, and a fiction, I always envied Eliott for being able to see and speak to his dad again. Even now , when I re-see this, I wish I could talk to him so much

Mr. Robot is the greatest tv show ever! It inspired me so much to write my character and my first novel.

For starters, I wanted to make stories that relies on characters, and the Philosophy instead of mediocre action, and cheesy dialogue. Even no superhero catchphrases

does not add up consistent. S1e5 mr robot took darlene keyboard and smashed it to stop darlene execute the code. Then darlene goes on a laptop and said to mr robot "come closer and I will execute it". Then elliot walk to darlene and stand beside her to smooth her.

Ok. I get it all now. They ripped off FIGHT CLUB and added a couple twists.
Im not going to try and sell a tv show to someone; you either watch it or you dont. But as a fan of both, you will probably enjoy the tropes in the show
I’m often seeing this comparison and i really wanted to know why people tend to say that, even though i haven’t seen Fight Club for lack of interest.

@@barizz1 Similar to the twist in this scene. However, they're not the same. Mr Robot pushes the concepts of control, mental stability and revolution much much further. Which makes sense, for a four season show. Both are excellent. Fight Club and Mr Robot have their own distinctive style and characters as well.
