This whole series has been great, subscribed. This content goes well beyond the L1 manual and has been great for helping me as I prepare for my L1 this weekend. I never understood the work capacity the graph until the explanation in this video.
Great video and series. I'm really enjoying this and wish there was something like this before I had taken the L1. At about 57 minutes there is a health graph that is shown (from page 40 I believe). I've always had a difficult time understanding that graphic. But during the L1 seminar coach Katie (I don't remember her last name) drew up a different graph that was much easier to understand for me. I just wanted to throw that in to give her some props.
Sometimes it just takes a different way of giving the information for it to click.....like coaching movement to an athlete. The best cue is the one that works.
In physics, the formula for work is W = Fs, which is force times displacement, or in other words, force x distance. So work capacity is literally the formula for power without the time component. I love geeking out on the CF methodology 🙃 I’m always impressed by how thoroughly Glassman thought through all of this.
