Saw this video when it was first published ..... Started gathering wool (survival). Months later, after scouting out a location, building an 8x8 watchtower and medieval bridge, I FINALLY get around to just "digging the foundations" of the house. At that point I was hooked and 3 days later the exterior is finished and I am working on the interior. (Full-time job, full-time family - why do they have to be fed multiply times a day? Don't they know I'm working on a build?). Anyway, it's been a lot of fun and is so cozy (even if I have to do grass window boxes cuz bedrock doesn't allow items on trapdoors! 😣). Can't wait to do the basement, barn, greenhouse, pond and now a stable? If Zaypixel ever visited my world she would feel right at home!
Survival basement, barn and Greenhouse is done! Added a matching wing on the other side of the greenhouse to put cactus, a small dripleaf pond, dripstone and an azalea tree. Warning: bees will eventually die on the sweet berry bushes and the cactus, so I encased the cactus in glass panes and out a door, then put 2 rows of glass panes on top of the fence posts by the sweet berry bushes. Isn't perfect - they could still go over, but does lessen the chances. Every now and then I'll just have to breed a few...

Second life hack to this comment. Do this. And use lava buckets, and dried sea kelp to smelt so that it goes faster. Both ways it will probably take forever lol
Or mine Stone with a silk touch enchanted pickaxe, not everyone can afford it, but you can get Stone directly from the ground, no need to smelt cobblestone.

Hey zay! I hope you'd be ok with a little constructive criticism. The only little thing I notice when trying to follow your builds, is that sometime it's hard to tell which side or part of the building is being worked on. I think it would make it a lot easier if you did a quick cut before each part showing which side was being modified. Thank u so much for these tutorials!

Zaypixel is a TH-camr that has never let me down and has always helped my builds such as the bridge and the spruce house that she made I wish I could meet her
To those wanting to build this on survival:
✩ 7 stacks of white wool/white concrete (your choice)
✩ 12 stacks of spruce logs
✩ 1 stack of dark oak
✩ 12 stacks of cobblestone (I also recommend mining lots of coal because you’ll be smelting them to stone bricks later)
✩ 1 stack of sand
✩ 1 stack of iron bars (for lanterns, the fridge, ect..)
Note: This took me 2 full days to gather materials, and find a good location.. Good luck to whoever is building this, I hope it helped!! ♥︎♥︎♥︎

Instead of using wool you can use white concrete which is much easier to get
Wool walls.... I could never, I might accidentally set the whole thing on fire, I'd probably settle for clay, concrete or quartz blocks since they are more resistant but this looks amazing regardless. I enjoy these relaxing builds.

This translated into an adorable pink concrete and pink wool house for my daughter. Pink concrete for the bottom floor, pink wool for the upper. Kept all the wood the same except the benches, I used blue wood for that. (Also used amethyst for the lower level interior floor, she’s a princess like that) Also had to tweak a couple things to account for bedrock edition. But all in all, it’s a pretty perfect design.

well, realistically speaking, the ‘finished’ version of wool, as in the wool used in clothes, looks quite different from the original raw version of wool on sheep, so maybe they wouldn’t be able to tell the difference lmao

5 minutes later: the house is completely overgrown
Use a bit of string where you want to stop the vines from growing. It's not too noticable and works great

Not that you'd change it a year later, but if you crouch while placing on interactive blocks, you can place stuff! Like putting blocks on top of trap doors. Just crouch before you place!

For anyone who doesn't want to collect so much wool: White concrete should look very similar in the result. It can be made by bringing concrete powder into contact with water. For 405 white concrete powder you'll need 51 white dye, 204 sand and 204 gravel. Have fun building!

Birch wood could also be a solid substitute for wool as well. as for the flammability-turn fire tick game rule off :)

Or quarts honestly, if you dont like spending too much time in the nether quarts blocks are way cheaper than bricks or even pillars. But spending literal days camping and mining in the nether for the sake of aesthetics is what this game is about. I genuinely think it has to be all quartz bricks or nothing for me
I'm just using Quartz. It's easier for me to find and I already have plenty of it.

@@hannah-leehicks2438 I used a lever under the bush next to it to power a piston. I had to alter the fireplace so that a person could fit through it. Then I covered up the red stone with a hill on the outside of the house

If you’re ever looking for ideas for videos, I’ve been searching all over to try and find a tutorial for a colorful underwater cave-esque enclosure for axolotls (the closest I could find is like a giant fish bowel thing) I think that it be super cool to see what you could do with that, since your build style is softer and semi-realistic. Tbh I’d love to see more water builds from you in general, I’d be interesting to see what you come up with :3c thanks for the beautiful tutorial
