All cars in Europe that I delt with in the last 15 or so years (since GPS became wildly available) all report lower speed than the GPS. It's also not linear, just as an example - if youre doing 100kph on the speedometer, the GPS will show 95kph but if youre doing 200kph, the GPS will show 185kph.
@@Just4frends I have a 2011 facelifted 9-3 and it behaves like I wrote above, maybe the older cars give real info on the speedometer. I had EU spec beemers, opels, benzes between 2000-2015 and they all behaved non-linear. I did have an old 1994 9-3 340hp sleeper in 2013 and I'm not sure what the speedometer indications it showed, never had the time to look :P
Mine did that too. The stock setup speedo is only 1-2km/h lower at 160km/h. When mounting slightly larger 18 inch 225 40 tires the larger wheel size makes the speedo shows 1-2km/h to slow.
@@Vanderveenm Eh, the things showed in this video dont cause any damage. Or even wear to speak of, I assure you. Perfectly within normal usage tolerances.
@@asssiesgaming453 "Normal usage tolerances" are the key words, emphasis on "tolerances". In other words, this use falls well within specifications, and does not constitute abuse.

Most likely the tune. The cheap ones give you a lot of torque at low rpm, highlighting the lack of traction of these cars, whereas the Hirsch ones ( OEM approved) give you a better spread of torque and better top end.
Saab has long gears, the top speed is around 260km/h if there is no air resistance. 4 gear could go from 60km/h to 200km/h without changing gears and pull pretty ok all the way up. The turbo on them tend to be a little on the small side to have good response and good low down torque. My 9-3 2000 and 2009 model both do not benefit from reving past 5000 rpm, the turbo system is not able to deliver enough air. So when he is running it past 6000rpm it might actually be slower then changing gears, because the boost is dropping at high rpm.
