Heracles really has a soft spot for Illya and it runs throughout FATE. In the mobile game we see him independently manifesting several times just to protect her, and even in Prisma Illya his card went out of its way to overcome its time limits just for Illya.

It was far worse in the visual novel. The game makes you go through the first route first, in which you slowly learn to know Illya, her relationship with Shirou etc... you become attached. And then, you have to do the ubw route, in which you meet her like just twice and then bam she's fucking brutally murdered, Gilgamesh going as far as ripping out her heart (for reasons we don't even understand yet at this point). Really a sadistic way to lead the player on. Afterward Shirou starts crying while burying her, and mentions that he doesn't even know why he's crying so much, since he doesn't know her that much. But we, the player, know why, we know everything they shared together in the previous route. For me it was the saddest moment in any of the routes, fate, ubw, or heaven's feel. I still think to this day, that it was a bit too much.

Illya doesn't have a specific route for her only. The magical girl anime/manga is a spin-off, it's not the same world. It's independent of the rest. The 3 routes of FSN are fate, UBW and HF, which have to be made in order.

The narration in the visual novel is made so that the player obtains informations in a precise order, in order to understand everything and to avoid being spoiled. And it's mandatory: you have finish fate in order to unlock ubw (the decision for the route doesn't exist otherwise), and you have to finish ubw to unlock heaven's feel. That's why the death of Illya is so painful, it's because you already did fate. You know her, the player already became attached to her. It's a particularity of FSN though, since in Tsukihime for example, most routes can be chosen from the start. And Zero was made to be read after FNS (and if possible after Fate Hollow Ataraxia), exactly in the order it was originally released (the books I mean): Zero spoil the identity of Illya and Sakura from the very start, while it's the main plot twists of Heaven's Feel. That's the main weakness of the TV adaptations: they weren't made in order (at least zero), so you can't follow thye plot as it was meant to be. Ufotable just didn't plan on doing ubw and hf if zero wasn't a success, that's why. In return, they added filler scenes in ubw, which often refer to zero. But they are not in the original story. To Be Fair, Like Gil said. Berserker actually did have a chance at winning. If he didn't stand guard and protect ilia. Focusing only on himself and Gil. He could have won. Not to mention that he brought himself back to life purely out of will from beyond the grave after his heaven given lives had run out.
If Heracles didn't deliberately tank certain attacks they would have killed Illya. Had she not been there, he would have been able to dodge more often instead of being forced to block or take attacks.

This considers Saber's Excalibur is 1 of 'the strongest Holy sword in entire of mankind's history(this was mentioned as an example from original fate stay night VN).' All those arms that Gilgamesh throw are as strong as Excalibur tier. Of course those weapons that didn't hurt berserker at beginning were rank E to B noble phantasms. Gilgamesh have over thousands of noble phantasms(you can say Gilgamesh have almost all legendary/mythological weapons in mankind's history, except a few such as Saber's Excalibur. Gilgamesh doesn't have Excalibur, but it means he has a lot of other holy swords that are as strong as Excalibur.
Any weapon made in Human History past, present and future all exist in his vault. He also has the prototype's of each weapon which are stronger than the weapons used by the Heroic spirits that use said weapon. gilamesh? against shiro? he wasn't nerfed, His pride to become a king was his main motivation to become powerful in the first place but he relied on it too much it also became his downfall. If he have not underestimated and hesitated to go all out against shiro from the start he would have won easily.

Saber states multiple times that even the weakest of servants can tear iron like it is paper and that no matter how much she trained Shirou he would lose just because of the physical difference. In Medea's fight we have her casually blocking EMIYA'S broken phantasm arrows that are far above what Shirou can do but when faced by Gil her shields couldn't block a single sword with Shirou describing how it broke like glass immediately and was just one of dozens he shot without even bothering to look at her. Also in Saber's route we see that his armor can take hits from the likes of Saber (who's fucking powerful) for several minutes before breaking. So, in the final of UBW we have Gil a servant with B Strength losing a melee against a 18 year boy with some weeks of swordsmanship training, conveniently without his armor and somehow the GoB that can expand over insanely huge areas being overpowered by Shirou's ubw swords. I do love Fate and also like Shirou but he's the most inconsistent protag in Type moon with the skill of being able to do whatever the fuck the plot needs him to do.

First look into what Enkidu is. A chain meant to bind the Gods so it binds beings tighter the more divinity they had. Heracles is a Demigod so it is not the full strength of Enkidu binding him, plus Saber can break out of the chains through strength alone without divinity. That means Enkidu has limitations that can be broken through with strength(he brute forced his way out). there's also the legend of Heracles, he is able to surpass the impossible so it could also have contributed into why he was able to resurrect past his Noble Phantasm's limit AND could be a factor to why he broke the chains as well.

As i said, you can brute force yourself out of Enkidu. Though I still believe he resurrected past his NP's limits, as Gilgamesh said that Heracles surpassed his own legend. This may be through the Battle Continuation skill that allows him to continue past his NP's limit.
Realistically, Herc should've been able to win IMO. He was hindered by being a babysitter. A vast majority of the blows landed on Heracles occurred when he was shielding Illiya. This fight had shown Heracles was legions faster than gilgamesh, so I wonder why he didn't just take Illiya and run.
Unfortunately, no. He said Heracles had a better chance, meaning the fight would've been more interesting but the result still would've been the same. Gilgamesh would've had a plan B to fight if Ilya wasn't there, including putting on his armor and probably using Ea or Enkidu a lot sooner. Remember he has another cheatcode, sha naqbu imuru, which is his foresight ability he rarely uses because he wants a challenge. While, yes, Heracles is faster, he's not "legions" faster. You greatly underestimate Gilgamesh's strength and speed. It's not as far off as you think
Illya was an idiot, she is partly why heracles lost so easily. Why the hell did she have to remain on the field of battle? Didnt she see that Gilgamesh was using heracles attachment to her to his advantage? Stupidity of illya is what led to heracles demise imo. If she just ran away from the field, heracles would have been able to let lose and put on abetter performace at the very least forcing Gil to wear his armor or even move from where he stood.
She had the mentality of a child, she wanted to win but lacked the maturity to have think that strategic or calculated. It wasn’t her fault that she wasn’t given the chance to grow up with parental figures

King Hassan is the only reason they stopped Tiamat, not Gilgamesh. The only Beasts Gilgamesh would be capable of killing are Kiara (III/R), Kama (III/L) and Vitch (IV/L) (all of whom are split entities and are weaker than normal Beasts). Goetia (I) would fold him, absolutely no chance at all, Goetia is practically undefeatable so long as Solomon's legend exists, has total control of all magecraft and has destructive power capable of annihilating human history itself. Tiamat (II) would outlast him since he has no means to beat her. Cath Palug (IV).....don't know for sure since we still haven't seen what form his power takes in the "Affirmation of Human History" timeline due to Merlin's interference, but if we try to use the version of it from "■■■■■■■■ of Human History" timeline where Primate Murder was fully realized, no chance in hell. U-Olga (VII) we don't know enough about but she almost certainly will be able to beat him since she's meant to the final ultimate threat of the LB storyline so she's probably going to be stronger than Goetia. Don't know enough about 666/Draco or Daji, so can't say anything there.

ヘラクレスは生前、12の偉業を果たし、その業績に応じて、12回死んでも復活するという宝具を持っていました。
それを悟ったギルガメッシュはヘラクレスを12回殺すことを選択します。
「これで11！いよいよあとが無くなったぞ、ヘラクレス！！」 13:20 というギルガメッシュの発言から、天の鎖を用いて殺されたのが12回目であったことが分かります。本来、ヘラクレスはここで完全に消滅するはずでした。
しかし、ギルガメッシュがイリヤに手をかけた直後、ヘラクレスはありえないはずの13回目の復活を果たし、ギルガメッシュまであと1歩という所まで迫ります。
ギルガメッシュのあの発言は、バーサーカーが宝具ではなく、自分の意思だけで伝説に語られた内容を越えたことへの称賛を意図したものなのです。

例外として、道具であってもそれが伝説で一度も使われていない場合はギルガメッシュは保有していないケースがあると聞きます。これには、カルナのヴァサヴィ・シャクティが該当するそうです。

First look into what Enkidu is. A chain meant to bind the Gods so it binds beings tighter the more divinity they had. Heracles is a Demigod so it is not the full strength of Enkidu binding him, plus Saber can break out of the chains through strength alone without divinity. That means Enkidu has limitations that can be broken through with strength(he brute forced his way out). there's also the legend of Heracles, he is able to surpass the impossible so it could also have contributed into why he was able to resurrect past his Noble Phantasm's limit AND could be a factor to why he broke the chains as well.
@@crystalixflaye6398 he didn't resurrect. He simply had a change of intention and broke through by willpower and strength. The chains arent anything great. It can't even hold Hercules with A rank divinity.
@@skychieftain the chains not holding heracles with A+ rank strength, B rank Madness enhancement, and A rank Battle Continuation doesn't mean it's not special, heracles just has enough to break free from it. As i said, you can brute force yourself out of Enkidu. Though I still believe he resurrected past his NP's limits, as Gilgamesh said that Heracles surpassed his own legend. This may be through the Battle Continuation skill that allows him to continue past his NP's limit.

Realistically, Herc should've been able to win IMO. He was hindered by being a babysitter. A vast majority of the blows landed on Heracles occurred when he was shielding Illiya. This fight had shown Heracles was legions faster than gilgamesh, so I wonder why he didn't just take Illiya and run.

Unfortunately, no. He said Heracles had a better chance, meaning the fight would've been more interesting but the result still would've been the same. Gilgamesh would've had a plan B to fight if Ilya wasn't there, including putting on his armor and probably using Ea or Enkidu a lot sooner. Remember he has another cheatcode, sha naqbu imuru, which is his foresight ability he rarely uses because he wants a challenge. While, yes, Heracles is faster, he's not "legions" faster. You greatly underestimate Gilgamesh's strength and speed. It's not as far off as you think

Illya was an idiot, she is partly why heracles lost so easily. Why the hell did she have to remain on the field of battle? Didnt she see that Gilgamesh was using heracles attachment to her to his advantage?
Stupidity of illya is what led to heracles demise imo. If she just ran away from the field, heracles would have been able to let lose and put on abetter performace at the very least forcing Gil to wear his armor or even move from where he stood.
She had the mentality of a child, she wanted to win but lacked the maturity to have think that strategic or calculated. It wasn’t her fault that she wasn’t given the chance to grow up with parental figures

and you think she'd be able to escape from Gilgamesh why? If she ran she'd burden Heracles even more because he'd have to chase after her to protect her, Gilgamesh can shoot weapons anywhere. Her running would be the even more idiotic decision in this scenario, the only option for her was to sit tight and hope Heracles can pull something off. This is Gilgamesh, she wasn't going to able to do shit against him anyway.

If King Hassan hadn't literally forced the concept of "death" into her existence while she was within the territory of the Underworld, they'd never have stopped her. King Hassan is the only reason they stopped Tiamat, not Gilgamesh.
The only Beasts Gilgamesh would be capable of killing are Kiara (III/R), Kama (III/L) and Vitch (IV/L) (all of whom are split entities and are weaker than normal Beasts).
Goetia (I) would fold him, absolutely no chance at all, Goetia is practically undefeatable so long as Solomon's legend exists, has total control of all magecraft and has destructive power capable of annihilating human history itself.
Tiamat (II) would outlast him since he has no means to beat her.
Cath Palug (IV).....don't know for sure since we still haven't seen what form his power takes in the "Affirmation of Human History" timeline due to Merlin's interference, but if we try to use the version of it from "■■■■■■■■ of Human History" timeline where Primate Murder was fully realized, no chance in hell.
U-Olga (VII) we don't know enough about but she almost certainly will be able to beat him since she's meant to the final ultimate threat of the LB storyline so she's probably going to be stronger than Goetia.
Don't know enough about 666/Draco or Daji, so can't say anything there.
