I have to agree while I haven't seen all of the 12 episode anime out there the ones I have seen either don't have an ending but a solid story with lack of an ending or are extremely rushed and wrap up way to fast
I wasn't really an Anime fan before watching this show, sure I did watch some well known anime like Cowboy Bebop, Fist of the Northstar and so on But nothing brought me to tears or moved me more than this show; The story, the characters, the music, all perfect. When I first saw a poster for madoka magica, i thought it was some sailor moon clone, but when I saw people giving it high praise, i was curious and decided to watch it, hands down in my top 5 anime of all time
Kaeb I wouldn't say a lot but there are good ones out there. Hiroyuki Sawano made Kill la Kill's soundtrack, Aldnoah's and Shingeki no Kyojin's too. If you have listened to them you won't know how good he is. ^_^
Eric R.P. Yeah I know who made it, he also made the music for Blue Exorcist. Also, dude you don't have to say Shingeki no Kyojin, Attack on Titan works just fine.
i love how this soundtrack is really beautiful, but there's a dark, sinister undertone to it. it makes you want to dance, but leaves you feeling cold. it represents madoka magica so well-- being a magical seems so right at first, but when one delves deeper, the reality of it is horrifying.
+Pigeon Senpai That's pretty much exactly how I felt. I was like "Come on Madoka! We know it's gonna happen so hurry up and become a magical gir- OMG NOOO!!!!!!!!!! PLZ DON'T MADOKA!!!"
+Rory and Johnny's Show It's funny; I always knew she shouldn't, even though I didn't know why she shouldn't, the subconscious seeds planted by the series were just enough to make me know something was off.
Fighting endlessly. Watching loved ones die before your eyes. Watching people you have befriended be killed right in front of you and having to continue without the privilege of being able to grieve. Being able to watch someone rot from the inside out and going from an innocent lovable soul to a demonic witch, that can screw up anyone. Homura knew she had no chance but she kept going. Fighting an endless battle for Madoka because she knew that if she stopped she would succumb to depression and become a witch and Madokas fate would remain unchanged. Homura did this from age 14 till she was 26. Homura was a true friend who never stopped fighting over and over. She will be missed.
I just love this picture so much, it makes the song sound even more beautiful, and the way the Magical Girls hold one another's hands as they follow Madoka gives me the feeling that she's leading them to a beautiful new world where they will live eternity together and will never feel suffering or grief ever again.
Madoka magica is up in my top ten fav anime I highly recommend watching it because it's not just a magical girl series, it's much more than that. It's deep , each character has a struggle , there's despair and real emotion. Madoka magica is a deconstruction of the mahou shoujo realm and is more than meets the eye.
I wanted to watch Madoka Magica because i thought it was bubbly and cute and when i watched it i was wrong... I thought im gonna like it but.... I LOVED IT! It made me cry! Its pretty awesome! I love it i love it! I love the soundtrack i love everything! Then i hate kyubey ( if u watched Madoka Magica you know what i mean ) SPOILER ALERT: I loved it when in the end of Madoka Magica Homura became a bit of an antagonist and i loved the story of Kyouko and Sayaka i mean seriously! I realized one thing in their story... You will do anything for a friend and you must value your time with your family and friends because life might be short or long for them QUOTE TIME: "Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. --- As long as you remember her, you are not alone" ~Homura Akemi
Rianne_xoxo My fav quote is "In this world, females in their second stage of development are called 'girls'. Thus, it is fitting that those who would mature into witches be called 'magical girls'." - Kyubey
If you loved it then you should watch Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuushu de aru (yuyuyu) it's another amaizing magical girl tragedy and a true tearjerker. My favourite quote was the thing that homura said to madoka at the beginning of the series in the school, but I don't remember it ;-;
One's shonenshit The other is Gen Urobuchi Sienen To put them both in the same sentence is heresy against the one true god Makoda. AoT goes on your guilty pleasures list right before Macross frontier, PMMM goes just after Fate Zero on your Uber teir list.
I would say "that's like saying Evangelion needed to be rema-" OH FUCK YOU ANNO Fine, it's like saying Madoka needs a moiv- You too Gen? Alright, then it's like saying Ghost in the shell needs a prequ- ... (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)
***** I know there's a manga, I'm read it. But for all those "anime watching only" people, they just leave out sooo much that they pretty much NEED another season.
With kindness comes naïveté. Courage becomes foolhardiness. And dedication has no reward. If you can't accept any of that, you are not fit to have this as your theme
This anime was truly beautiful. Its story tells about how precious life and friends are and what extent those would go for us. The way that Miki,Kyoko,Mami, and Madoka died for the good of mankind in this anime is absouloutely heart breaking and yet so amazingly beautiful. At the end of the final episode,Those words that "Homura" said were truly inspirational. Homura was a great character who many didnt like because of her "mean nature" but she was just looking out for madoka. Great Anime. 10/10.
If there was any anime with a more jarring tone than this one, I havn't seen it yet. From the first three episodes to the opening theme that continued even after the stinger, it gave the impression of your typical happy-go-lucky magical girl anime, but after Mami bit it (Or got bitten, heh) the whole show became a slow dive into a bleakness, and covered quite a few more mature themes along the way. The Price of power, the inevitability that fighting monsters turns you into one, and that nothing good lasts forever. But even with all that, there was still the glimmer of hope. If anything the most important thing to take away from this show is this: No matter how bad things get, or how dark they become. Never lose hope and never give up on who you are. ...I mean at least untill Rebellion Story, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.
Me before watch Madoka Magica: Well, chibi version of Sailor Moon... Me after the third episode: WTF MAMI WHY YOU DIE--YES KILL CHARLOTTE Me after the tenth episode: **trembling in horror** Homura is the true hero for Madoka... I think I've been staring at the screen too long. They started to slightly ripple and while listening to the music while seeing that made it look more "dramatic" in a way. But I kinda freaked out when it looked like they were still moving even after it video ended.
Gen Urobuchi basically explains that the only way to give a sad story like Puella Magi Madoka Magica a happy ending is to rewrite the rules of the universe. In doing so, he has actually managed to re-inspire his own ability to write other happy works, by the way. He long ago earned the nickname "Urobutcher."
I think AoT is a masterpiece for many reasons; the soundtrack is far better than many of the anime going around these days, the story is quite unprecedented and it keeps you at the edge of your seat. I wasn't bored at any point, not even for a second. The animation and artwork are different and beautiful too. (they have better quality? I don't know how to explain it) People, as you claim, may throw the term around often, but I don't. So for me, it is a masterpiece.
omg i watched the anime series thinking it would be a little kids show but man it got really intense and sad even though it was a pretty short series. :D
It's a really really great Anime! I sat in one spot for 6 hours just to watch it all the way through the first time It kicks up around episode 3-5 somewhere near there uwu
+MAD Inu NEVER EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!!! I WOULD KILL KYUBEY (adorable as he is) A THOUSAND TIMES IF I HAD TO!!! IT'S ALL KYUBEY'S FAULT THEY HAD TO SUFFER!!

And let them stay Magical girls forever? But not becoming... you know what. *SPOILER ALERT* Witches? If you wished for that, that would mean that Magical girls will stop having emotions, because the balance of hope and despair, there is none, its zero.
Suraku Hirano End the universe only to create another where the same problem exists only with a different appearance. There can never be good without evil that's what the ending of this anime showed.
When I was in grade 3 the class had to write their own stories, I was watching Madoka Magica at the time, so I copied it LOL but I did mention the part when Kyubey was "attacked" by Homura, my teacher said it was bloody, so ;-; so sad I had to remove it. I named it Ninja Girls (yeah sure totally awesome name) because there was a chance someone would know but nope ;3 I also changed them into animals XD Madoka was a wolf, Sayaka was a cheetah, and I made Kyubey into a bunny XD memories
Most perfect twelve episode anime ever anyone?
I have to agree while I haven't seen all of the 12 episode anime out there the ones I have seen either don't have an ending but a solid story with lack of an ending or are extremely rushed and wrap up way to fast

Bravo PMMM
😖😭yes
Yep, normally with 12 episodes it just end in a horrible final, but madoka magica was actually good
After recently finishing the anime, this theme is so much sadder than before.
ain't that right T T
TeddyGhost yup I am with you
TRUE
I’m not gonna cry (sniffle)
Remembering the historical magical girls
This anime's soundtrack its SO much better than the average animes nowdays.
Alex Mc A lot of animes these days have fantastic soundtracks. My favorite is Kill La Kill.
Alex Mc That's because Kajiura Yuki made it. She's brilliant, you should check other works from her. :)
Kaeb Oh I didn't know about that! I should watch that anime, thanks :)
i love how this soundtrack is really beautiful, but there's a dark, sinister undertone to it. it makes you want to dance, but leaves you feeling cold. it represents madoka magica so well-- being a magical seems so right at first, but when one delves deeper, the reality of it is horrifying.
When first watching this I was like "Geez Madoka hurry up and become a magical girl!!" But at the end I was like "NuUuUuUuU!!! WHYYYYYY!!!!"
+Pigeon Senpai That's pretty much exactly how I felt. I was like "Come on Madoka! We know it's gonna happen so hurry up and become a magical gir- OMG NOOO!!!!!!!!!! PLZ DON'T MADOKA!!!"
+Pigeon Senpai I know. Me too. I was speechless at the end.
+Rory and Johnny's Show It's funny; I always knew she shouldn't, even though I didn't know why she shouldn't, the subconscious seeds planted by the series were just enough to make me know something was off.
Le Thaumaturge Oh wow.
. . . was that supposed to be sarcasm? I'm beginning to seriously doubt my ability to use words, despite having studied literature for many years now.
I don't know why but I always get this bittersweet feeling whenever I see pictures of PMMM..
And every damn time I see Kyoko, I cry.
especially with kyoko or sayaka
sayaka: i was cucked ;-; *ded*
kyoko: NOOO MAI WAIFU *allah akbar*

Grell Sutcliff
When her death came, I hope it was quick. She earned that much.
Well can you really claim that she's gone?
with Madoka understanding her at the very least
Homura is a pleb, Rika from Higurashi did it from 10 to 100.
Bitch get on her lvl.
😩😔
I just love this picture so much, it makes the song sound even more beautiful, and the way the Magical Girls hold one another's hands as they follow Madoka gives me the feeling that she's leading them to a beautiful new world where they will live eternity together and will never feel suffering or grief ever again.
Sadly, that'll never happen most likely
Madoka It's better to live a lie than find out the brutal truth. Let the person imagine. Let them.
Madoka magica is up in my top ten fav anime

I can't help but think... where were Homura's parents the whole time?
And Sayakas...
@George Nathanael no, Homura have parents to
@@BrunoGomes-ui8qb since when?
@@elliswakelam9206 They weren't really around most of the show, but they were at Sayaka's funeral and asking about where she was before said funeral.
Suzanna Osama it was purposely left unknown by the creators, we don’t really know

Well i'm glad somebody finally brought it up for you! That was me!LOL
Also my favorite is Decretum! That's Sayaka's theme!
yeah hers is good but homuras is good to
Yeah, Homura's song is very good too! :]
Listening to any Madoka OST makes me both sad and happy at the same time. I always cry at how beautiful they are.
2022.2.13
Ahh, Madoka Magica, something I thought would be like Sailor moon, but turned out to be the darkest and most confusing anime I’ve ever watched
This show continues to wreck me without remorse every single day.
Off to heaven, where they shall meet again, together, as magical girls...
With no more soul gems to crush, and no more tears to leave behind.
Make a contract they said
It will be fun they said
the feels i get while listening to this.
broke the repeat button
sounds like a dream song, to go to sleep 😌
I got a wave of goose bumps from just the mention of episode 3 Q.Q
attack on titan and puell magi madoka are both epic shows :),just watch both,my personal prefereance would be PMMM
One's shonenshit
The other is Gen Urobuchi Sienen
To put them both in the same sentence is heresy against the one true god Makoda. AoT goes on your guilty pleasures list right before Macross frontier, PMMM goes just after Fate Zero on your Uber teir list.
agreed. though attack on titan is epic, i feel that madoka magica is put together better. and it only has 12 episodes!
Kristine Silmaro and attack on titan still needs another season for anything to make sense!
I would say "that's like saying Evangelion needed to be rema-"

"I was told this was going to be dark and scary instead of girly and fluffy."
*episode 3 comes*
"....there it is."
A friend introduced me to this a few days ago and I literally cannot even deal with the feelings.
vậy là 11 năm rồi...
The best 12 episodes of anime.
I honestly don't think the third movie can meet my expectations.
You just can't improve on perfection.
Madoka Magica è sicuramente tra i manga più belli che abbia mai visto!!
E questa colonna sonora è spettacolare!!
The feels are kicking in... ;_; time to rewatch some love live school idol
+Lenah Al-Sulami yeah love live is a good anime for kids, it's about Idols (J-pop singers)
sadness , power and hope in a single song
Oh no my eyes are sweating!
Amazing, simply amazing.
always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone
Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone.
Puella Magi in Latin means Magical girl :p
i'm sorry does the first part of this sound like a christmas song to anyone else or just me
Not to me, anyways.
Yes, because of the instruments that are being used
I guess thats because of the bells you're hearing throughout the whole thing xD
That's true!
It was the first anime I ever watched. I first thought "Magical Girl Crap" but then... Well, yeah. Too much feels.
PermHunter Same, first anime I watched
+Nixo MK i love sayaka from madoka magica i was really depressed when died
uzma irfan me too :(
Beautiful music

Im a huge fan of ice and madoka magica !
This is just my favorite !
WHERE DID I HEAR THIS MELODY ? !

To the characters in the anime? Yes.
To the viewers, hopefully they are already aware of that.

Why do i feel like crying? I haven't even watched the anime but i'm getting feels.
Sammy257 a Watch it...please
This... this is one of my favorite songs in the world! !:3These feelings though. ..It reminds me of my loneliness in 5th grade ... 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😢
omg i watched the anime series thinking it would be a little kids show but man it got really intense and sad even though it was a pretty short series. :D
Everyone asks "where is Kyubey", but no one asks "how is Kyubey?"
I really have no idea how I stumbled here, but the picture in the video would seem to suggest that's it's anything but dark.
Just in case you haven't seen it yet, a warning- There will be tears.
It's a really really great Anime!
I sat in one spot for 6 hours just to watch it all the way through the first time
It kicks up around episode 3-5 somewhere near there uwu
That's right..run girls!
_Run towards your deaths!_ hahahahaha
*breaks down and cries*
What a sad sounding song.
It makes me want to summon a monster to eat my head.

I didn't know that they weren't allowed to read ahead! That's why it's so intense...
Preciosa esta melodia...
This makes me wanna cry so bad...
is this just an instrumental of Sis Puella Magica? It's beautiful
I think the music describes the way of a magical girl perfectly. first its peaceful, but then it gets louder (More despair) and then its again peaceful, like a last tear, then it gets loud again -> tranforming To a witch and in the end its peaceful again -> the witch got killed. sry for bad english xD
Neither could I... Neither could I
Thanks a lot for the download link ^^
Well that explains the cat in the opening.
"I do not own anything"
FeelsBadMan
Mami is a mom/mum friend
Madoka herself said she wished to save a cat named Amy who got hit by a car in Episode 10.
I Want this played at my funeral. it's just so godamn pretty.
Makes me sad , but I like it a lot
Wish this was on digital music services.
This anime and Rozen Maiden (not to be confused with maiden rose- i made that error (not mistake)) Are my favourites because of the soundtrack
Do you need a hug? I need one right now....
This. Is. Epic.

Suraku Hirano End the universe only to create another where the same problem exists only with a different appearance. There can never be good without evil that's what the ending of this anime showed.
But this is Kyubey's theme song.
I wish I could play the flute like that :'(
When I was in grade 3 the class had to write their own stories, I was watching Madoka Magica at the time, so I copied it LOL but I did mention the part when Kyubey was "attacked" by Homura, my teacher said it was bloody, so ;-; so sad I had to remove it. I named it Ninja Girls (yeah sure totally awesome name) because there was a chance someone would know but nope ;3 I also changed them into animals XD Madoka was a wolf, Sayaka was a cheetah, and I made Kyubey into a bunny XD
memories
oh Gods, this song... *cry in a hole*
