- General Hospital's Kelly Thiebaud (Dr. Britt Westbourne) chats with Michael Fairman exclusively for the Michael Fairman Channel.
Currently in story, Britt is on the run with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) while she also awaits news if she carries the marker for Huntington's Disease. Will Britt find love with Jason? How will she deal with whatever her medical diagnosis might be? Kelly weighs-in on Britt's current state of affairs.
Since her debut on GH back in 2012, Kelly has made Britt a one-of-a-kind character who is at once funny, conniving, has done some horrible misdeeds, and yet fans of the series continue to love when she makes a comeback to the show. In her most recent return, Britt came back to Port Charles as Chief of Staff of General Hospital, right out of prison.
During this interview, Thiebaud talks about working with her GH castmates including: Steve Burton, Laura Wright, Jeff Kober, Finola Hughes, Kirsten Storms, Wes Ramsey, Kathleen Gati, Parry Shen (who doesn't love a good bestie scene between Brad and the "Britch"), and the ups and down she's experienced on social media.

I love what they're doing with your character too. I love Jason and Britt together. I just love the two of you. I love that you are open and accepting of him and his life and I love how he wants to give you redemption for your past.
One of the things I like so much about Brit and Jason, I miss the conversation that Jason used to have with Robin and Elizabeth, and when he was talking to Brit about possibly having Huntington’s, I saw that Jason again. I really had missed him.
Jasam was a supercouple for twelve years I guessed they never talked.

Jason has had deep conversations with all of his love interests. But it seems that this has not been the case recently. That was one of the facets of Jason that I always loved. I hope they have him him do more of that.

I was a major major fan of Jasam, but unfortunately they completely destroyed that but I am happy that they chose Britt to be his next counterpart I think they will be good for each other and besides she'll challenge him

I also love how they (GH) will continue to empower Britt. She is strong and amazing. Now if Britt would take Maxie under her wing and show her how to be more of a self sufficient strong woman. Britt is definitely her mom’s daughter. Now if Maxie would show her Frisco/Felicia traits General Hospital would have a wealth of strong women.

So glad Kelly returned to GH!!! I don't much like Jason but I sure prefer him with Britt rather than Sam! i do miss Britt's scenes with Nicholas Bechtel's Spencer, they were priceless! Wish she would have more scenes with Parry Shen's Brad, they need to bring him back too. And of course her scenes with Olbrecht are great too!!!!

I have been a Kristian Alfonso fan forever and when Kelly smiles and laughs and are just being herself in interviews, there is such similarities! I love her as the Britch BUT I think Days missed out on casting her as Ciara way back when Kristian Alfonso was still playing Hope!

G.h You are really cooking this show is so good it's unbelievable the storylines the characters and the acting superb, Putting Brett and Jason together what a good idea it's working really good she is so hot, All the different storylines that's going on is really incredible so much excitement, Looking forward each day to see what is happening can't wait really enjoying it, The next big thing I see happening is Sam and sonny's son . The sexual tension is really there between them something is gonna happen.

What did you guys make of when he asked how she would feel if he went back to Sam. And she said based on what has aired she would be surprised and hurt. But then said there is so much I wish I could tell you. So I wonder if she will be positive and she will try to push him away since she has this deadly disease but he won’t let her push him away.
I think it means that it’s not a question at the moment & it’s full steam ahead for Britt & Jason. Maybe they try the angst route with Sam in the future but it’s going to be a story already with them starting.
I took it to mean that based on what has been filmed to date but not yet shown it would be a dumb question (i.e. Britt and Jason firmly together). I would hope the writers can leave Sam out of it, at least for few months!!!!
I hope she doesn't have the marker. However, she still has something going on. I thought she (Britt) said that it could be stress...unless she gets a false positive and will think she has it and suffer from that..either way, Jason's got her back and he isn't going anywhere.

Fantastic interview! Love Kelly. I love Jason and Britt...I am a JaSam fan, however, Sam broke it off with Jason..let's give Britt and Jason a try. Also, Wes is so good at being bad..but I hope he is redeemed...maybe he isn't real...a clone..and Jeff Kober..I hope they keep him. Any and every scene he is in, the room lights up. There is something 'there' with him..
I totally agree with you. I wish all Jasam fans felt this way. Sam decided to end it for the safety of her kids and she can’t just decide ohh I changed my mind. Some of the Jasam fans out there are a little crazy😜 and over the top. But I am excited for where this is leading and what is to come!

Let's face it, they can always come back with a JaSam re-pair, or I think there is a Dante and Sam pairing coming up. @@homegirl88 I absolutely loved the memorial to John Reilly episode. I was a young mother raising three, when all these good storylines came and it was so good to see clips from them. I was really into Luke & Laura. I love GH.
@@maryloum.7759 I think there’s tons of long time viewers (I’ve watch since I was a kid spending summers checking this show & thinking the Brenda/Jason/Robin/Jagger/Karen were so cool). So I know there’s a break up & reconciliation plus we wouldn’t get so many match ups if the writers didn’t take a leap of faith & went with something that organically works. I find the ship fan wars interesting because couples don’t really last & shouldn’t. If they stuck with Robin, there would not have been Jarly, then with Liz, then with Courtenay (hated it) but I stuck for Brenda (I always wanted them to go there!) then Sam & now with Britt. This interview really backs that there was a build to Britt & Jason (I was really surprised & just cheering them to keep the movements).

I don’t really see the sexual tension they are talking about. When they’re on screen together I get more of a older brother bratty sister vibe and it makes the romance gross. I like Britt and I think she can do better then be a replacement Sam for Jason. Give her her own love story not Jason’s greatest hits repeat.
More and more to come for Britt and Jason to their chemistry tribute about love story between those two are getting closer enough for the first time to kiss Britt!! Since I got haters attacking me in my other post I thought I’d try again. I love Britt and Brad scenes. I also love Jason and Sam and I’ve invested 17 years in them as a couple. So I hope Britt finds someone new to love and that Jason goes back to Sam.
You should be entitled to your opinion. I am a JaSam fan as well. But the show is experimenting to bring fresh excitement to it. I am liking what I see with Britt and Jason. It must be nice and maybe challenging to Steve Burton, to explore another side to his character. Time will tell if it works or not.
@@maryloum.7759 I am old school. I like Jason as a hitman with brain damage and what others see as “another side of his character” I see as character destruction. As for Steve, he is on record as saying that he prefers the action stuff and he misses non smiling less talkative Jason. So do I. But you are right that we all like what we do. So all is good.
I'm torn. I've always hated Jasam so it's not that but I've never been a Britt fan either. I just want to be able to root for a Jason pairing, but I'm not sure how to feel about Britt. I guess time will tell. I'll try to have an open mind. It's hard cause I can't stand Maxie or Liesl and it will be a package deal. Ugh. Oh well. I will admit it's nice seeing Jason with someone with more personality. He's so dry most of the time, so I felt like I needed jumper cables with Jasam because they canceled each other out. Britt is bringing back the Jason who interacts more. He wasn't always Stone Cold.
