Awesome vid that day Chris! I’m really learning lots from all your great videos an I really appreciate all the time and effort in front / behind the camera you put into your channel 🔥💯👍. Great work that day before the rain hit! See you soon! Andrew from NB :)
Always a pleasure and educational watching your videos from the UK Chris. I’m a big fan. Can I just ask why you’ve stopped playing the song at the end in some videos?
Nice stacks of wood. It looks like you save the blocky chunks for the crisscross end pieces. I do the same, it makes a more stable column to stack against.
Great tips on connecting the piles and controlling moisture. How do you calculate selling cords when you move away from the face cord by piling high? Do you fuss with levelling your pallets or correct as you go?
Thanks, I usually take wood from the big stacks when I need to fill the trailer with 4 face cords and I have to stack it in to fit it in and so then I know how much is on the load. Yes I try to make sure they are solid on the base first.
I can order any kind I want from the loggers in the area but some kinds are hard to come buy so it might take weeks to months to get. I also cut on several properties I have access to cut on.
Mate you have a ton of wood to sell. You work so hard, ya might have to get yourself a faster splitter, and maybe a crane truck. Mate what is your second job if you don't mind me asking.
I did get a faster splitter, you'll see a lot more of it soon or you can watch the review I did called--Eastonmade ultra review. My second job is firewood, my wife and I run a full time professional photography studio for 31 years now.
If you have wood with mould on it before you stack it , it will continue to grow and fester unless you stack it in single rows with at least 12” between rows. If you follow Ohio Wood Burner he had that problem and ended up throwing the wood away. Not good enough to sell to any Restaurants or customers. He suggests only 2 rows on a pallet, not 3

I appreciate that!
Chris, those stacks are awesome, you do a great job of stacking your wood, looks great keep it up.....
Thanks, will do! Dave , your welcome to come help anytime!
I use poles that are a pallet width through the pile, but I like your method of running them between piles. I will give it a try. Thanks.
It does work good, Thanks for watching Tom!
Talk about a really great tip on how to keep the wood piles from falling over. Congratulations on getting your channel monetized!
Thanks so much! I'm glad it helped you!
Thanks for the tips!👍🏻
Happy to help!
You may have addressed it in another video, but those two olive slice looking chunks of wood seem to to appear in most videos. I like it.
They are and you will see a lot more of them! Woodie and Cookie always help me out and get the work done in the wood yard!

I still do most of the time, but I might have missed a couple. Some of the old ones from the first year do not have it, this was an old one.
@@InTheWoodyard thank you. Keep at it Chris, I love your work.

Yes, the corners are everything, if they fail the pile goes down!
Those stacks look awesome. I'll be happy to get a couple of stacks like that here.
Tom, for the right amount of money I can make that happen!
@@InTheWoodyard I'm making it happen myself. I'm just a little slow.
Good on the tie ins. I use long 2×4 s to lock each row at head height. I stack as high as I can.
That's a great idea! I found that a rough or irregular branch works better because it grips better, but I do use boards sometimes too.
@@InTheWoodyard Oh I get it. Yours works just fine. Good work.
Nice Job Chris! Those stacks are awesome. We have a small wood yard maybe we need to go higher? I always though it “Wood” fall over.💪👍👍
That wood be bad if your wood wood fall over! Todd the height lets me get more wood in a smaller space and it catches more air too!
Nice stacks, yay your first commercial ha ha !
Yes Mr. Newfie now I can buy my own island and retire! WEEWHEW!!
Chris you have an impressive shit ton of wood. It’s like money in the bank .
Mark, your not just another pretty face, you see that money does grow on trees!!!
Great tips on connecting the piles and controlling moisture.

Have you ever tried staking a holzhausen? It is stable high staking and awkward sizes go in the middle?
No, not yet, it looks cool for sure but time is an issue for me, I just want it off the ground as fast as possible.
I’ve been wondering,, what is your other business ? I can only imagine how hard you must at that one too. You are tenacious
My wife and I have run our own full time professional photography studio for the last 31 years.
That’s cool ! Now stop messing around and GO SPLIT AND STACK !!
@@coreyriley7160 Yes sir!
Is it wrong that I love looking at a nice stack of wood Chris.
Mr. Michigan, it's similar to a beautiful woman, you can look, just don't touch my wood!
How do you get your supply of different types of wood? do you gut it all or have it delivered to the yard??
I can order any kind I want from the loggers in the area but some kinds are hard to come buy so it might take weeks to months to get. I also cut on several properties I have access to cut on.
Hi Chris what is your other business? Does it have a website! Mike (England)

Thanks Jeff!
👍🏻👍🏻
Back atcha!
I have a challenge for ya. Go to my channel and look at my latest video. And take a guess in the comments on what kind of wood it is. It’s not cherry
Beautiful blue sky.....which state in the US do you live? Great work and tips!!
Raymond Pennsylvania
@@raymondrobinson8997 : Washington State for me..
Is that Wilson holding these stacks together? You do know who Wilson is, Right?
Yes I do, that is Cookie and Woodie, the wood yard mascots.

I have found after 50 years of stacking wood 3 rows wide 8 feet high in the sun and wind and on pallets with just the top covered works okay.
Is it fact or fiction Stihl offered you $500 and 6 free Stihl caps in a variety of colors?
Yes you are correct, and then I woke up! No, not yet! HA!!
be nice to have ur damn money.....................
You can, just work 12-16 hours a day 7 days a week for about 30 years.
What is your other business? Just nosey.
I have a full time photography studio, 32 years now!
