thanks Anna. You are inspiring me to keep exploring!
Long time watcher, first time commenter. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy the off-the-cuff videos like this that you do. Seeing your learning process, experimentation, and troubleshooting your setup inspires me to dig deeper into my gear as well. Thank you!
I really appreciate it Charles. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have fun in your journey. Stay safe!
Long time RemixLive user, here 👋 I made a lot of tracks with it in 2023, actually 👌 even better when used with a controller. But I have been asking them to implement midi clock for over two years and they never did... So I have to sync it with the rest of my setup thru the Ableton link protocol (which works but requires a network connection).
@@shambien I tried calling Roland to ask them to do this. No one answered. I’ll try Friday. Sorry.
@krazywabbit 😂😂😂😂😂
@krazywabbit your Roland does, however, consume MIDI clock just fine, for what I can read. They talk of other limitations in the MIDI implementation but it does at least this basic thing. From the french guys, being a smaller company, I was hoping more responses/traction... They even said/promised they were going to do it, then even claimed they did.... But they did something else altogether: some sort of tempor pitch bend... the arrows next to the tempo that behave a bit like when you gently nudge a spinning record to adjust the sync by ear. Ableton link, as the alternative, works... but I had to adjust the latency compensation quite a lot and took a lot of trial and error to get it to the right setting. Now it works / is stable....it's not great to having to bring your own wifi access point with you to play somewhere (imagine that network being hacked/flooded during your live set? I trust physical MIDI wires more, in general).
Thanks and most inspirational as I was going to get rid of mine, it’s been gathering dust but you’ve helped think again !
