Its crazy how turboing used to be an entire series on this channel and now is just so quick, easy and normal that its a musical montage!
Also it proves how far they have come together that they know what to do & can mostly do it themselves.
i think it probably still is a big deal. but sometimes these guys just want to get on and build the thing. filming and editing 10 part episodes really slows you down!

I started this video thinking, “theres no way they could do an entire turbo conversion video in 9 minutes, this must be a joke”….. but then I watched. I understand completely. This is truly what its about, two mates in a garage making something gnarly. No fluff, no filler, just beautiful cinematography and fitting overlay audio. Great work as always guys.

I miss Mechanical Stig and Turbo Yoda, but the fact that they aren't here helping you is a testament to how far you've both come mechanically.
Slapping a turbo on a 28 horsepower engine is one of the most amazing projects I can think of. I love that you did this.

I genuinely enjoyed everything about this video production. The music choice is great, the edits are well done, and the work is high-quality shed work.

In regards to music I am more in the area of "getting the funk out" in terms of preferences, but to each show their own style. Nothing wrong with it but it made me skip through as personally I found the music annoying as soon as the distorted guitars came in at 1:28.

Super nice video, a full build series would not have had a lot we didn't already see, and it was still super nice to see everything fall into place and the satisfaction at the ending is huge !

Happens to the best of us. A couple of episodes back Moog had his mic off so you could only hear him faintly and echoey through Marty's mic in the first few minutes of the vid. With the extra B roll shots it does look like it was intentional this time though!
mics off, corupted audio files, pc crashed and they lost a ton of footage, who knows, but something went wrong

@@jama211 I love MCM. Marty and Moog are very skilled; but they are not building a tracked amphibious vehicle, an UTV, a log splitter firewood production line, a rock crasher, etc from scratch like Donn.
Was really cool and weird feeling, in a good way, that this video had nearly no audio. It gave me a near nostalgic MCM vibe and feeling.
I honestly love that you know, that WE know that, you KNOW what you are doing now. An awesome epic journey from your earlier days of learning how to turbo of Miss Daisy. Congrats on just rolling the gorgeous and video, you have come so far as filmmakers as well!

I have to admit, I am notorious for skipping through some of the build sections to see the results. But watching this, listening to music and having to figure out what you guys are building at every stage really really kept me engaged. I didn't skip once, what a beautiful video and what a badass little truck!

Guys, I love the new format. Those of us who have been with you from the beginning know what you're doing in each step. We've seen that done and had it explained 100 times. This was a nice, relaxing way to get the best out of customizing cars without all of the work and sweat involved. Great job!

Watching this was so cathartic. The music, the atmosphere. It felt less like watching a video of two guys turboing a car and more like sitting in the shop with two old friends as they work on their car. In some ways strangely nostalgic. I loved every second.

Watching this it is amazing to see how far you have both come, from fitting speakers to a Daihatsu on Marty's Mum's driveway, to doing something like this with all the planning and fabrication involved, using all the skills you've picked up and refined over time, and making a video with such high production quality, compressed into a bite-sized 9 minute chunk.
Approaching 4 million subscribers, and driving around in JDM royalty (like this tipper, of course!), but keeping it real and staying humble.
Keep it up lads.
This video clearly demonstrates the skills you guys have picked up along your automotive journey. You can clearly see techniques developed from different projects put into one kei truck.

@@mikescorral2998 If only they ditched the 25 fps format for a 50 fps, then it would be perfection. I get it, it's a "film" style, but it's just a choppy mess on youtube, this only works with actual movies for me (and I would prefer them too to be smoother but that won't happen).

@@tasty8186 I think it's being in lock down is the "madness" part. Even though USA is still having over 40,000 cases daily, a lot of states no longer require mandatory masks and they're living their life like covid is gone. I know i'd rather live in lockdown Australia than open US right now.

The level of CAD useage is phenomenal. Cardboard Aided Design is a skill. Also I can just hear the detailed explanations and banter even tough it's only music. Such a piece of art.

You two know just enough to come up with some dangerous ideas and somehow make them work, but have no problem calling in the pros like TurboYoda and Haltech for the more complicated stuff.
