The Ventrue are typically regarded as snobs, aristocrats, and the general authoritative figure for childish vampires to rebel against. But the Ventrue may be the Clan with the greatest respect for mortals out of all other Vampires. They do not respect mortals as individuals, since Ventrue can Dominate almost any mortal into a drooling vegetable, but they respect the power of what mortals can accomplish when united in common purpose and directed by a 'superior' visionary. In that vein, the Ventrue attain power not because they are the strongest, but because they are the best organizers.

Mithras is the most badass in my opinion. Ripped apart a pack of werewolves after waking up, ruled Britain and let it into an empire (an empire which fell without his guiding hand). Peak example of what a Ventrue should be in my opinion.
He also dictated terms to the Camarilla rather than the other way around.
Don't forget that he intentionally let the empire collapse, just so he could rebuild it again. All because he got bored of how easy it was to rule everyone. Dude managed to climb his way to the top, then decided to start a new play through.

I played Larp for years and hardly ever saw an actual Ventrue played. We had so many players from different clans pretending to be Ventrue that the running joke was clan Ventrue didn't really exist, it was an elaborate Malkavian prank and they're still laughing their asses off at a bunch of vampires all lying to each other about being part of a Clan that doesn't exist.🤣

really surprised you didn't include some other notable Ventrue methusalehs such as Alexander of Paris or Antonius the Gaul, but really glad you included Mithras.
There were too many to pick from and information on Alexander and Antonius was thin by comparison.

Love your videos man, I'm a huge WoD lore nerd. You should make some videos on theories about the antedeluvians, their current whereabouts, motives and agendas, if the common held belief of their being only 13 is true (it isnt!). I'm sure alot of people would love to see that.

Al Capone had too many derangements to be a good venture. My family was involved with him in business and he was very unhinged. His temper his derangements were really bad.

@@societyofleopold6827 I think that but I also think he was becoming unhinged because of him possibly being killed by his own people. A great example is his accountant died and they stuffed the body somewhere else and told the wife where to pick it up. Just crazy stupid stuff.
@@societyofleopold6827 maybe.. maybe not see the thing of it is this is an alternate world.. they might have just said that the illness was to throw people off. I've seen games where people would get weird symptoms and it was because a vampire had been feeding on them. If Al had been turned way before then his symptoms might be something put on to cover for his odd behavior amongst Mortals. I mean it makes sense not all of that Clan are well composed and some of them are way not that young they were usually rich white men.. a good lot of them the old boys club definitely. Some of them Nobles some of them are just High status guys bankers and things like that. It wouldn't be completely out of the realm of possibility that they would wouldn't want influence in the criminal world and Capone would do that. I mean they already had on the other side the lasombra which they tried outdo and all things... and definitely la Smsombra do not have a problem getting their hands dirty sometimes.( hurted everybody forget that the lasombra sometimes favored the pirate life).

mithra means friend in sanskrit and also a name for the sun because the sun(surya narayana or simply surya) can be considered a friend of earth rather this is an unconditional friendship....later romans borrowed the word from indians i guess
Mitra is also a Hindu deity, often paired with Varuna. He was also worshipped by the zoroastrians and pre zoroastrian Persians as Mithras, and the secretive cult of Mithras was adopted as a fad by roman soldiers who had initially served in the east, adn then it spread. The romans did not borrow the cult of worship from the indians but the Iranics

If you're not aware, Romans are Indo-European people's too, just like (north) Indians and Persians. They have the same culture and logically the same deities, that may have different names and regional traits based on geography

I'm curious about Anushin-Rawan. There is very little information about her history other than thwarting the assimite attack against a Ventrue Prince and made the Island of Yiaros into an elysium. I wish there was more information about her.
Unfortunately, the great Qatari Ventrue diplomat is more of a plot-hook than anything else.
@@lazarofstygia2241 Yeah, that does suck about her. I have been fine tuning my Ventrue vampire and at one point used her as his sire. I tried digging up what I could about her just to be on the safe side. It seemed like a good fit for the creative direction I was taking for him while taking extra care to clear a few things about the embracing and why.
Diplomats need all kinds of auxiliaries: junior diplomats, bodyguards, messengers, fixers, etc.

In short: yes, Brujah for the Soviet state, Tremere for the USA, Ventrue for UK, and in high irony the Nazi's were mostly just human, because IRL politics and some very... passionate letters from "fans" after eariler versions explictly mentioned Nazi Brujah (which makes sense for the Brujah and Weimar Germany, and for the irony had no problem with the Brujah explictly creating and leading the far more genocidal and racist USSR), and yes but it ends a year later.

@@lazarofstygia2241 I mean, Siegfried just seems like a better example of a Ventrue to me. Lodin was a pawn with an embarrassingly high brood while Siegfried was the uncontested master of his city, so secure in his power that all of Vancouver was considered Elysium. Certainly, Chicago is a more prestigious city than Vancouver but Istanbul is one of the most prestigious domains in the world and Mustafa didn't make the list.
My goal with the video on clan ventrue was first to present sort of how the clan evolved into its current form and then to present a cross-section of members that weren't all "Camarilla prince of city X".
As for why Lodin and not Siegfried, there is more information about Lodin's career as prince and his spectacular downfall.

When Mithras is the Prince of your domain, British exceptionalism is nothing to scoff at.
I think you should talk about how close the Malkavians and Toreador are to the Ventrue, probably the Ventrue closest allies and they're sibling clans. And they're also the ones who are the most committed to the Camarilla, while the Tremere are more detached to the Camarilla ideals
