@@Sealwithwificonnection No comedian is really playing a character, it’s a crazy exaggerated version of themselves. At least the funny ones are. The best comedians make you hate them a little for laughing at stuff you find offensive.
"Listen, nobody wants your zen and the art of being a Boston Irish guy attitude." legitimately might be one of the best takedowns in this show's history. Fuckin' Colin.
Patrice subtly tearing into Leary was so fucking funny. That whose the man arguing line that Patrice fired out made me choke from laughing so hard haha
@joshua2585 i always said they were doing podcasts before they were even a thing in everyday life. We all know patrice was the heart of the show and it sucks that we lost such a legend before he could bless us with more insight. R.I.Patrice
@@ricardocolon3805 Was he? I'd argue Giraldo and DiPaolo were easily just as important. Colin was clearly the heart of the show though, he got everyone involved and allowed everyone to get a chance.
Tough crowd is closest thing to panel shows in uk. Just get about 5 or 6 comedians in a room together basically taking the piss out of each other. It's a showcase for the comedians to a large audience I cant see a comparison in the us. Any attempt has always been watered down for a mainstream audience and bombed. Get someone like colin to host stick bill burr in one side as captain and then someone more clean cut like mulaney to captain the other team and then 4 new comedians every week. Put it on after the water shed and get a good legal team.
This is why they canceled the show. Too much, all chiefs, no indians. Everyone of them wants to headline. Other thing is if you don't listen to O&A, you won't know them.
The moments of tension between Patrice and Nick was the most underrated part of Tough Crowd in my opinion
It isn't real tension, Patrice knew that Nick was just playing a character
@@NondescriptMammal Nick isn't playing a character

It's beautiful.

Dennis: Let's move it along.
Nick: He's got another bomb to premiere.
Denis Leary is the Gregg opie hughes of comedy
Tsss...tss.. Penis Leary or sumtin
Denis Leary is to comedy what Kim jong-un is to human rights
Leary was so intelligent, he tried to act as he was more important than Colin in front of Patrice and Nick; they smacked him around like nothing 😂
Dark glasses? Sheeeeeesh
Holy fuckin shit, how did I miss this episode? I've seen every patrice oneal episode of tough crowd but this one got past me. They SAVAGED Leary!!
He got stomped even harder by Geraldo. Brutal.
Me too in 2023!
I thought Leary was only on the one episode with Giraldo
At this point in time, Leary still thought he had a shot at a movie career, so he was trying to not offend anyone.
Yeah 😂
"Nobody wants your zen and the art of being a Boston Irish guy attitude" fuckin Colin rules
Tough crowd has a great host, great 'cast'(regulars) and interesting guests.
adam diaz had*
Patrice subtly tearing into Leary was so fucking funny. That whose the man arguing line that Patrice fired out made me choke from laughing so hard haha
He's busy he's got another bomb to premier xDDDDDD
The more I watch episodes of Tough Crowd, the funnier I think Colin Quinn is. Probably because you can finally fucking understand him.
Papa Colin, always keeping Patrice in line 😂
Leary's best bit was stolen from Louis C.K.
He stole his smoking routine from Bill Hicks as well
he stole that bad ass attitude from the kid that bullied him in highschool
@@cavemanvi yeah, but he wasnt just your typical high school bully...
Poor adam ferrara couldn t get a word in edgewise
I didnt even notice he was in the episode until he had a chance to talk in that last bit

Man I miss these days.
Nick’s story at the end… hilarious!
I forgot how genius Colin is but 18:00 snapped me out of it
Im getting ready for a roast is the best line ever
Colin saving the show over and over, genus. Dennis setting him up...over and over...unintentionally? lmao
Jared joke ahead of it's time.
237g Perfect for its time, aged kinda bad tho
Adam was quiet is F... nick and patrice where amazing...
That was funny asf
Why did nobody mention the fact Leary got famous ripping off Bill Hicks act?
Tight first segment in this episode, but the wheels came off the bus in act II.
Dennis Leary...acting like he's better than everyone else...unfunny fool should never have been on the show..Carlin was on the show and did great..
Haha at 18:45 Colin policing Patrice. This never happens!

I hate Leary's joke-stealing guts
Denis Leary is so cool.
😭
Lol
Denis Leary is a cultural icon
Lol how sad
Said no one ever, Rescue Me was good but that's about it
So they had the "Its only OK when we do it" mentality back then too
