Patrice never missed a chance to call out a fellow comic for doing their act during what is supposed to be normal convo. "Jay just had a big glass of his act!"
This is one of my favorites. What's great is Opie and Anthony let Patrice and Jay do their thing and not interrupt. Opie should have done that a lt more. Ant was always great at that.
Omg jay & Patrice together, comedy gold.. RIP Patrice, he's one of the funniest & most interesting people ever. Jay with Patrice obviously fuels Jay, & he loves it, & I live it. =]
Patrice and Jay Mohr were awesome. There was a time in the mid 2000's when I saw Jay Mohr and NOBODY gave me a headache from laughing so hard....not to this day. Mitch Hedberg was the closest. Patrice was unbelievable on O & A. He had some of the funniest views of men/women relationships....he was a lovable comedic genius.
jay is in the zone here........from 35:00 to 55:00 is some next level, very rare-air, comedic genius that I think is just so rare anywhere now. That Vos joke re: Neil Brennan thing is an example of "the why" hahahaha I never realized Bonnie had a little run until that room went perfect. God this is timeless gold. Mohr just wouldn't play the game. This is how far it;s come, Bonnie is a star and genius jay is somewhere being honest. All he did was make a reference to them.........c killer etc. That's how little talent and success are relative now. We better wake up........
An often overlooked impressionist who doesn't just regurgitate movie lines and could improv as his characters- Gilbert Gottfried. Him and Jay together would be awesome.
I never thought much of Jay Mohr from seeing him in movies. It was only after a Walken appearance on Conan where they showed clips of people doing impressions of him (Walken) from past shows. Clip of Kevin Pollack made me think, "Wow that's pretty damn good.", then Mohr's impression, "Holy fucking shit, that *IS* Walken!" I love how he explains how to properly do an impersonation in this recording, because it's exactly what I thought when I heard him do Colin on another show. He doesn't just mimic sound bytes like with some of the movie quotes he's doing here, he absolutely becomes Colin; saying things that were never said but you could completely see him saying it. I see that as a difference between an impression and an impersonation, and I could listen to him do either all damn day. Also, it's more than rare for anyone to upstage Patrice, especially on O&A. This was a great show.
Patrice is my favorite comedian ever and after listening to this I checked out Mitch Mullany and damn he’s a funny cat. Wish there was more of his standup around. Props to O&A without which we would’ve have the hours and hours of the genius of Patrice.
That colin quinn rant at the end though! Had me in stitches! P - "Not only is it the best colin quinn in the buisness, its the only colin quinn in the business" J in Quinn mode - "thats cos nobody knows who he is lets be honest"
0:23:19 Jay Mohrs dig at Poughkeepsie made Patrice give the most genuine laugh to the point he farted. Moments like that keep me coming back to this clip
Bert has explained in on Jay Mohr's podcast and Joe Rogan's podcast saying that Jay told the story so much better than him because he does a great Tracy impression. Jay killed with the bit so Bert let him stick with it. Bert is a nice guy. Jay got alot of criticism from fans saying he stole it but Bert cleared the air on the podcast.
The best thing about this is that it was a time when Patrice was still alive (one of my favorites and a huge loss), and realizing from the conversation that both Zach Galifianakis and Kevin Hart weren't household names.
His critique of Seinfeld applies to Dave as well. After some comedians reach a level of fame they are considered untouchable. You can point out the flaws without being called a hater or their money being brought up. Every comic has a flaw and it should be a sin for another to joke about them.
he was, he's admitted it happend to bert but he said that bert told him he could tell the story as if it was him on stage. here he did it on the radio though. bert then later said that he was not happy with him telling the story. jay explains on one of his podcasts.
ummm you might want to listen to the latest tigerbelly podcast. Bert Kreisher retells the story and its a little different. Also him and Bobby Lee rehash the whole Rogan/Mencia incident and how Bobby bitched out.
the lady who patrice is talking about and is one of the most wanted from New Jersey at 21:46 is Assata Shakur.. (tupacs god mother and step aunt as her brother was Mutulu who was pacs step father, surprised he never mentioned the connection)
i fucking hate jay as a person, but he's one of the most insightful, talented and he's actually fucking funny. i hate him because he's bitter a lot, but it's no wonder with him being in the business so long, and still being on that level of "that one guy from that one movie with the other more famous guy".
Jay told the story for a few years but Bert eventually came out and claimed it was his story that he kinda let Jay take it which matters none since Tracy said it never happened anyway. Lol
One of my favorite O&A shows of all time. I couldn't even count how many times I listen to this. The comedic chemistry Jay and Patrice had was unreal
My God , we are SO living on the past ! Lol
@@bartholomeus1941 Is that bad?

It was from someone's act at least.

I do not understand how jay Mohr's standup is so weak but is still this fucking hilarious just conversationally.
It's the same with Jimmy.
+0omitcho0 Jimmy's new special was great, but I agree on past ones.
didn't know he had a new one out I will have to watch it
I was surprised myself.
Craigs List its weird his stand up is terrible
I can't believe how many times I've listened to this. Never gets old. "SAY THE GOD DAMN WORDS!!!"
I love me some Jay Mohrs.....Patrice and Jay with Anthony is the trifecta.
You wanna get NICE? 😂
You forgot the Ope Meister.

😊
This probably the GREATEST piece of radio. PERIOD!!!
man, i fucking miss patrice
What you on about they love him.
Rip
Man I feel you..
We all do bro.
Jay Mohr's Tracy Morgan is SPOT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best ever
It's not his. The story is bert kreishner. He was with Tracy not Jay Mohr. Jay bought the story from Bert
his impression is amazing which is why he got away with stealing it from bert essentially
@@uzah88 he bought the bit from bert.

Most comedians on this show are funnier than Colin.
Booo. Colin is one of the best on the show.
he's not that funny, tbh
Colin is funny but a different kind of funny.

Jay Mohr one of a very few individuals on Earth that can compete with Patrice for taking over the room
