This unit will only record the stereo outputs. You can only record the entire mix. If you only have a vocal in the mix, you would set it up the same as if doing a live vocal at a gig. Check my other videos, I think I did one on vocals. Thanks.
I don't think that is possible on the UI16. I know the UI24 has a way to sidechain a subgroup, but I don't think either unit has a key input on the compressor. Some here may know more about this than I do.
