Thank you for an easy to follow tutorial, was easy to follow along. I clipped my seam allowance with pinking scissors and zigzagged stitched on all raw edges. I am going to make more now for Christmas presents, again - thank you.
Watching this in July 2021 and I can’t thank you enough!!! I had tried other tutorials and they were nice;but-they didn’t tuck the edges in like you do! They look SO much better this way,so thank you so very much ❤️❤️
Wow this is great eventough I dont have a sewing machine I made it by sewing by my hand it turned out so great....I had little less cloth so I thought it might be tight but it isn't its intact very lose and comfortable 😊😊so happy with it
Beautiful tutorial. Thank you for this... I have been wondering how to make one of these... I be using a towel-like cloth so I can use it for washing my face.
What a great tutorial!!! I can't wait to try it. I just have one question though.....what size is the elastic you are using for the 11 x 3 pc of material. I didn't see it listed or hear you say what size it was and if you did, sorry I missed it. Also, when putting the 11 X 3" piece of material (with elastic) to the 18 X 7" piece of material, is the 11 x 3 piece "seam side" up or down on the material you are sewing. Does that make sense??... lol.....Thank you again, awesome tutorial!!!!
Made this with a stretchy knit. Next time I’ll make the rectangles a little bit shorter to allow for the stretch. Turned out super cute though! Thanks so much for the tutorial!
Honestly. SO HELPFUL, I love your videos very informative and educational. I’ve just brought today the same sewing machine as you. Took me an hour to even figure out how to set up the machine. Really look forward to future videos and trying out your headbands etc. Xx
This is a wonderful tutorial, although I would suggest telling us what type of fabric you are using/suggest other fabrics that can be used, the elastic type and width (not just the length), seam allowances, and whether to lay the elastic seam side up etc. All that info really helps! ;D
Thank you so much! I am a brand new sewer so question please? Is SEAM centered on the pieces and if so-- When folding the 18" over each other -are the seams UP --because mine turned out with one side showing seams and the elastic twisted. 😄 Thanks--I'm trying to figure where I went wrong--still wearable but it's twisted.🙏🏾
If you do each step in the video step by step you shouldn't get any twisted elastic. SEAM should be right side together when folders, then the elastic on top
Hi, I’m sorry but I don’t understand how to reduce measurements from your description for a child, could you please advise? Many thanks .. Btw I sewed the adult one and it’s beautiful:) x
Really love this headband! So easy to sew!! And, love it that you provided a size guide!! I have a minor issue, which I wish to check with you. When I was sewing over the wrapped fabric & band at the last step, my thread kept snapping. Was it because it is too thick? How do I resolve this?
@@perrywhitham9558 it's been tough to find general measurements. The headband is a gift for someone in the family, so I can't just measure, unfortunately
I have a oh so crafty sewing machine which is my beginner's machine. I have just purchased The brother Innov-is F480 which is a combo machine. Embroidery and sewing I highly recommended if you want to eventually get into embroidery. I think Brother is one of the best makes out there. Thank you
I love this pattern 😊 I just made myself one this morning for the first time & am wearing now.
This was such a great video! I wasn’t expecting that last fold to hide the extra fabric. Great work!
If anyone's curious, this is also super easy to do by hand :) AND it fits big heads lol.

What fabric did you use?

Is that 1/2in Seam for all seams total? Or is it just for sewing it together?? And would a fat quater be enough fabric?
Yes a fat quarter would get you one headband total. Yes correct, all measurements in the description

Hi there! I was looking and didn't find the measurements for baby sizes. Do you have these?
Maybe just measure the baby head and then do that so far
