Agreed, Danny is the best. I get the how and the why plus all the products to create my own versions of his masterpieces. And the Bio Boost coupled with the fertiliser. I'm mowing every 2-3 days.
Daniel, if you were starting from scratch to get rid of a lawn rife with poa, would you use a turf cutter or just scalp it? Would you use roundup all over before or after scalping ? And how long would you leave roundup before re seeding ? Thank you 🙏
Hi Daniel. Great video as usual. I'm looking to cut my seed this week. I'm 10 days after seeding with a decent growth and no bird take thanks to your tip on using the fleece. 👍. I just wondered how low you cut or how much you cut off on the 1st cut please? Cheers.
Thanks for posting. Will I see other grasses flowering other than poa. I’ve got lots of flowering at to momentLawns are a mixture of good grasses as well as annual meadow grass kept at around 25mm and a bit of Yorkshire fog. Be good to strip them off in next spring so I can get just perennial ryegrass on. Cheers
I think you should write that book you have mentioned. This is like a course in turf science. Put it all together and become an international best seller. Retire a wealthy 💷 man.
Hi Daniel, quick question on dealing with annual meadow grass. Do you think blow torching the weed would help? I have quite a few spots and looking for a quick solution. Thanks in advance for your advice
great video. to fight streetgrass in youre lawn (existing) you can also let the lawn grow lang at least 10cm. than mow it short. let it grow realy long again and mow it short again. the most of it will be gone. wy, because long grass will let the rootsystem grow really lardge and deep ,roots go to 1mtr deep. streetgrass does not go very deep at all mabey 3cm in the ground. lardge grass leaves have great fotosynthese and big surfice to moist the roots. when mowing short, you take off the seedheads of the streetgrass and the roots have no room because of the huge rootsystem of the grass that,s build up.
Thank god you posted this before the game 🏴
Good video and simple explanation about meadow grass, i often struggle to identify it.
Another omen video before the footy, another great video. Gardening and lawn care is a pivoting science, adapt to what nature throws at you.

Great explanation. I was following the Lostock job and basically did what you did. But it’s nice to know why. Great videos
Good explanation on Poa .
Great info - cheers m8. Has anyone known the grass to be growing as crazy as it is this summer? Chopping grass a few years now - but this is nuts.
Wet and warm perfect conditions
Daniel, you’ll need to tell us how to control amg, when it seeds, preventative actions etc, etc.
Coming along nicely ....look forward to see progress next time .....🤞England will have duffed Italians up by then !! 🍻😎
Good morning Daniel is there a way of killing annual meadow grass without forking it out thanks

I have annual meadow grass on my front lawn mixed in with my new seed.
Anyway of getting rid of it now?
What do you think about overseeding a fescue lawn with Barenbrug SOS with 50% annual ryegrass?

It has a temporary effect, grows back as tried it with a weed gun
When you overseed the patches, do you continue to water the whole lawn until the new seed comes through?
Yes mate
When you added the extra seed do you need to put a light covering of soil on them?
Nar just left them on the surface, chucked it down after unforseen so waste of time lol dreading going back now!
Never trust the met office weather app
Is that normal practice for a newly seeded lawn to fill in the patches? I'm trying to perfect the technique so the lawn has an excellent coverage
@@jamesdenton4536 yeah i reckon so
How is that job going to be watered?
Ive watered by hand once on the right side rains done the rest , the left will be hand watered also
great video.
