    Great stuff .I' m learning such a lot from your videos .I just got a Golden Melody, finding it harder to play than my Marine Bands .Have you any tips?

      Many Thanks ,yeah your right the Golden Melody is a touch tighter than marine band but persevere with both because when you play with band playing single notes and the band isn't cranked up (Loud ) you will notice the intonation better on golden melody.Eventually you will simply adjust to each one, best regards

    greetings from Argentina, mate. I'd like to play folk and blues with guitar . which do you recommend? I'm rookie so I can't diference the sound quality of each other.

      Yes interesting question, for blues both great but if I had to pick one I would go for Marine Band. Playing Folk again both great but I would probably say Golden Melody. Now you have got me ha Folk and Blues, Hmm both the same really, but if I could only pick one for Folk and Blues then I would pick Golden Melody Hope it all goes well. Best Regards

    Great video, thanks. I'm gonna buy both. Each sounds great in it's own way. Marine band for chordal playing and GM for melodic.

    Golden Melody sounds nice if it isn't broken strains out of the box, like mine was. Never again

      That's unfortunate Sam, and that can shape your judgement for sure. if it is brand new however if you contact the dealer they will more often than not change it for you.

    Richter tuned !!

    • @harpothehealer
      @harpothehealer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Golden Melody is ET tuned and the Marine band I'm using I call it composite or another word I'd use compromise .I associate 'Richter 'to refer to the fact it's a diatonic harmonica from the invention or design note lay out point of view.
      However I am aware of the word some use to refer to a tuning, thank you

    It's really tiresome seeing another video comparing two different harmonicas that are really made for two to different musical styles.

      Although this initially can feel not as good as ones larger holes in the long run is beneficial. If I was starting out again knowing what I know now I would probably go for a special 20 or a marine band. There just easier to get round, then move on a little later.
