Gosh I wish they would do a remake, or update for this game! :( For its day, this was one of the most under rated, and technically accurate environment simulators around. Plus it was the ONLY futuristic sub sim to date, that you could "fly" underwater in.
True, it used to both scare and intrigue me how you can explore the ocean floor infinitely. The camera modes were cool also because you can pan around the environment.

this was the most favorite game I have ever played. A reboot would be amazing

there was also Archimedean Dynasty on DOS, which turned into the excellent Aquanox series!
