This is my first time using illustrator and it was so much fun to follow the tutorial. I was so impressed that one click can give so beautiful effects such as the moon on the tutorial. Thank you so much for your tutorial! :)
I really enjoy this tutorial, thank you for making it so simple yet so beautiful. There was a problem that occurred while I was drawing the shadow of the tree - when I lowered the opacity it became rather lighter than darker. The way I fixed is by changed the mode to 'Darken' but if anyone knows why it happened, please let me know :)
TNice tutorials is aweso! I was feeling kinda overwheld when i first start soft but after watcNice tutorialng your tutorial video, i feel much more confident
It is a bit frustrating to see that, I mean, my teachers told me their ways to do things and presenting them to me like it was the best, I just discovered your channel and I didn't expect so many ways, so many ease, very nice job, I am very excited about all these discoveries and new ways to use Illustrator !
That was brilliant! I honestly didn't know of many such tools that I regularly used in photoshop. Thanks for this.. I actually learned more than a random illustrator tutorial.
Hey there, thanks for this wonderful tutorial. I was trying this out to decide whether I should go for a full illustrator course to learn more. Your tutorial was easy to understand. However, when I tried to use the Free Transform Tool, I managed to make the shadow of the tree upside down, but I can't make the shadow to stretch to the right side. Whenever I tried to do so, the whole shadow will rotate instead of just the top of the tree stretching towards right with the tree bark remains still. Also, when I clicked Free Transform Tool, the 4 options that were showing in your tutorial did not pop out. Can you please advise what is wrong? Thanks and have a nice day! Edit: I just found out that instead of Free Transform Tool, I can use Window -> Transform -> Shear function to achieve similar effect!
Hi there ! im planning on getting into communication design and trying to learn illustrations for my portfolio. Have you been able to get any jobs or anything else with this career ?
Great tutorial! Really shows one can create beautiful artwork even with beginner level expertise in Illustrator. Can you tell me what are the music tracks used in the background? Ideal kind of music to loop on when working.
I'm stuck in the star building step, as i couldn't create a new brush with the circle shape. The this a message "The selected artwork contain an element that cannot be used in a scatter brush".... How to resolve this error ??
This indicates that there is a drop shadow, a transparency, a gradient, or other effect present. You should make a new one by tracing the original with drawing tools. Make sure the fill and stroke are solid.(use Default Fill and Stroke)
Dude great job! such a perfect tutorial, been years since I used Illustrator to do ilustrations and this tutorial was the perfect way to come back. Thank you so much!
I have few questions, if you have enough time please give me answers! 1) How to set those colors as a bar shown in your video? 2) What is the setting used when you move the eclipse out from the background and it turns into blank?
1) Those are simple rectangle shapes filled with solid color. so we can pick with Eyedropper tool. nothing technical setup. More about Eyedropper tool: th-cam.com/video/2KT6HtK4oCY/w-d-xo.html 2) Here is explained answer about Artboard masking: th-cam.com/video/8tEdMVT76uU/w-d-xo.html
Hello Ileen, Good Question. I've learned as "student experience" that if possible take *specialized* course or degree. It should not matter degree or diploma as long as it requires daily 4-5 hours of deliberate study. I'd advice choosing arts degree in Graphic Design field. Because short term certificate courses won't cover actual graphic design fundamentals. They just go with the trend to finish curriculum in time. So Go for Specialized degree. By specialized I mean, Don't get mixed up by web design & animation. because now a days institutes are mixing them up. and in specialized degree course, you won't get into software stuff. but actual Theory of Design. And that's much better. Once you learn theory, you can work on any medium or software. I hope I answered your question. Good Luck :)
