Just installed this on my Si today - the sound is beautiful and it has a great roar to it. Gives the engine bay a slight face lift with how nice it looks.

the real question we need answers too. I think the short ram is probably better at lower rpm but as you get higher in the rev range the HVI should theoretically be better
Just a question, is there a reason you transferred the factory intake inlet? It’s diverting the air downward instead of taking it straight in. I opted to leave it off so air can flow straight into the engine bay, but wasn’t sure if you guys thought it’s better to reuse. Thanks!
Hey I know this is a year old but have you kept the factory inlet off? Just installed mine and I am debating whether or not I should add it or just leave it off.
i bought a 2023 1.5 civic ex and it has the whooshing sound already and all i did was install a new hp exhaust myself and debating if i should get this short ram what do you guys think????
What you can do on the HVI intake is drill out the hole on the bottom of it and just leave it like that without adding the plus duct to it and it makes more noise just from cutting out the pre drilled hole on the bottom……..that’s what I did 🤷🏻♂️ lol
No, it is not. I installed this very same one on my 2017 SI and within 10 miles I got a check engine light and the code was p0301 and p0304. Which is misfires on cylinder 1 and 4. Never once had a CEL before the install, I removed it, cleared the codes and all is fine. My car just did not like this short ram so now it is just marinating in a closet.
This is literally $20 in material and you mark it up to $300. It's ridiculous pricing. I bought a previous gen Chinese replica that works just as well.

Sick, now the noise complaint guys will be happy
I installed this exact product months ago, the 10th gen intake fits the 11th gen as well, same sounds also
Would be nice to know the IAT before and after the installation of this intake with the PRL intercooler
yes dyno result or iat log would be a great selling point
Looks and sounds amazing can’t wait 🙂

Nice , performance wise which one got better gains? I would assume the HVI?

Epic!

Wooo wooo!!!!
This sounds perfect.
I got misfire codes within 10 miles of driving when I installed this. Removed it, cleared the codes and now all is back to normal. 2017 Civic SI.
Did you get the Race maf or the street maf version
Does this system have less performance than the high volume?
just ordered :D
I ordered mine and they sent me just the hose and clamp, it’s taking over a month for mine to get here from PRL…
I wonder what would be the total HP and torque gains if you install this Short ram with a Hondata Reflash?
Post a video with Sport mode off. More heat soak with this intake as well.
which has better performance gains the high volume or the short ram?
The high volume provides slightly better performance (hp gain) while the short ram has more induction noise, and better throttle response.

@Rasputin2011 just installed mine and I left it off for now. Not sure if it should be on seeing as it's not even pointing at the intake
@@CasinovaGamingany updates/problems? Wondering if I should.
Is this intake carb certified like the high air intake is for CA? New to the car scene with a 2022 civic that I want to upgrade
Gotta love a hot air horsepower robbing intake.
I'm assuming this doesn't give you any HP gains. Its all for the sound correct?
i bought a 2023 1.5 civic ex and it has the whooshing sound already and all i did was install a new hp exhaust myself and debating if i should get this short ram what do you guys think????
Same bro I’m wondering the same if I should get the short ram or the cool air intake
can you tell me if yours is automatic or manual???
is there any power loss by installing this? any improvement ? dyno numbers? just curious
I used to comfortably rest my elbow on the window sill; now belt-lines are up to people’s chins.
Wonder hot weather Malaysia suitable to use Short ram or not.
Should I wait for the long ram?
Can I make my HVI into a short tan by taking off the plastic? Lol asking for a friend

Is this Short Ram Intake legal in California can't find info on the main website or the HVI for that matter?
The HVI is! The short ram currently is not.
But is everything else stock ?
What is gain compared to HVI?
Needs tune ?
