Today I'm going to show the top 5 Hardest Levels in Just Shapes & Beats, in Hardcore
There are 3 Honorable Mentions, as last time.
The Video is based on my personal opinion, so don't complain.

Hey, Spectra is not hard if you remember which hexagons get corrupted. I would put Close To Me on the list instead.
Yeah, the last part of Spectra is easy you can hide between the gaps if the hexagon bar

Cool friends in hardcore mode is easy for me, but well it has a lot of things to avoid, but i practiced them so now is easy to me

Let's all be honest, Corrupted was the real middle finger as a tutorial level.
I'm no expert at bullet hell (don't get me started on Jevil and Sans), but I beat Corrupted first try, no damage.

Top 5 Easiest Normal Levels
5: La Danse Macabre (memorize it, and you're good to go)
4: Lycanthropy (idk maybe it gives you too much time to get in safe spots?)
3: Corrupted (this may be the number one easiest level if I wouldn't have tried to keep the beat going when I hit the triangles)
2: Unlocked (stay in the center in the first half, then hug the left or right side in the second half)
1: The Art of War (ironically, you get to have some chill time in here after New Game pushed stress levels to the limit)

Cool Friends was so hard.
For some reason, when I moved down diagonally to the left, I wasn't able to dash. And that was important for avoiding that damn giant saw's projectiles. Fortunately, when I went to see if I could mess around with the controls I saw that it also used wasd, but to use my right hand for the fine control this game requires I had to cross my right over my left, and that was just uncomfortable to stay in for long periods of time.
Your keyboard may has ghost. (When u press 2 keys at the same time, pressing another key will not work)

Thing is that levels like Mortal Kombat and Into the Zone are relatively hard in normal. Maybe you should make a list of the levels that have the biggest difficulty gap between Normal and Hardcore

My thoughts on his list:
5: Spectra
Spectra is very easy in my opinion and I don’t think it belongs on the 5 hardest due to just timings and dashing through things
4: Core
Cores spot is perfect since it’s not the hardest but still hard and I think the owner did a good job on where core should be
3: Vindicate me
Vindicate me’s spot is ok. In my opinion core is harder than vindicate me but vindicate me is still hard so it defiantly deserves a spot on the list
2: Cool friends
Cool friends is also very hard but just like vindicate me, I feel like core is still harder than Cool friends (My opinion) so just like vindicate me, still on here but not past number 2 at least

For me:
Clash- just find it hard remembering and predicting where the cannons shoot during the drop. Its so chaotic and sporadic, that I often wonder if RNG is involved, though others have said the pattern never changes.
Termination Shock- so much fun, but for an early level is harder than most later stages
Cool Friends-don't find it as hard as Termination Shock on normal and hard-core wasn't too bad either until one particular part. The third section with the giant wheels is where I mostly get it hit and I've barely found a reliable way not to get hit during that section.
Annihalate-didn't find the normal version that hard, but hard-core during the drop has a steeper learning curve for me.
One the Run- just chaos all throughout. Once again has a learning curve I've yet to figure out.

If you wonder why Mortal Kombat is respawning the corner lasers every checkpoint, maybe that's because everytime you die and respawn, -every- lasers/specific bullets are destroyed.

Thats probably the best list of the hardest levels for everyone but it still depends on your skill like for me spectra, core, vindicate me and even cool friends are really easy - you just need some practice...
1. Spectra and cool friends - you just need to learn how to avoid last parts
2. Core - try to stand somewhere where you dont need to worry about square and other things that are **not moving** and dash only when you need to avoid **moving** objects
3. About mortal kombat, creatures ov deception and clash - 1st you can complete it with jus luck (im serious because i beat it like that mortal combat). 2nd option is just restarting the same level untill you learn where every ball/square/guy moves and thats how i beat clash.
I though about recording on yt how to beat every level on S - i rejected that idea but still i know a lot about levels
and i can help you if you have any problems with beating the level.
Many people thinks that cool friends are hard 'cause of the big saw part but if you ask me you just need to dash long through the saw, not at the highest position possible but a bit lower to do not get hit by squares and then straight down. Repeat it untill next path which is much easier :)
Didn't realize you can dash right under the saw-blades under cool friends, I always thought you had to dash up into them, dash through again then dash down quickly. Wow, That would of saved so many attempts :(
I have my on personal list of the songs I like and here they are. #1: Final boss, I chose this because of bass drop. #2:New game, well this because I like it. #3:Close to me, well because it’s just close to me. #4:Lycanthropy, this is my just cause song. #5:Annihilate, this is what I call get good for hard mode and I have pretty good feelings for this song. That was my list.

At least we all should agree the Mortal Kombat is the hardest level. Period.
Now don't tell me the hardcore only "removed the cheap spot", No it didn't do that only, The Figures (Both Uppercut and Kicking) is faster than the normal one, and because of that, the level itself becomes 100 x harder, the fact that you need to avoid randomly placed speedy kicking figures as well as to watch out for these randomly placed uppercut figures makes Mortal Kombat stupidly unfair and hard depends on your luck.
And no Annihilate isn't the hardest level, i don't know why people on this comment section says Annihilate is harder than Mortal Kombat, Pretty sure just because there is a bullet hell at the boss, doesn't mean it's the hardest immediately, it's not luck based unlike Mortal Kombat, if you practice Annihilate a lot, you won't even have trouble with the boss himself, all you have to do is not to use your dash at the Bullet hell section, it's that simple, and keep your character away from the danger, the only time you will use the dash is when the tentacles appears, That's it, after you get past the bullet hell i doubt you even get hit at the final part unless distracted or getting too excited or scared about getting hit, i've done Annihilate many times and rating my success S Rankrate for it, it's like 7/10 and Mortal Kombat's Success S Rank is like 1/10 because of sheer amount of luck.

People saying annihilate and close to me are hard, i beat them in like 1st and 2nd try, they dont have almost any rng, i spent more time in termination shock than in the rest of the game, like if i played the game for 3 hours i'd say that 1,5h was just trying to pass this fucking lvl

I would've put paper dolls in number 2 and then into the zone in number 3.

These are in my opinion the hardest hardcore levels.
5: Spider Dance
It's only really the part when you run away from the spider, but even that was so annoying that i put it in the list.
4: Last Tile
The last part is basically a guaranteed death when i'm not doing online.
3:Deadlocked I legitamitely cannot understand why I have so much trouble with this, but I am so absurdibly bad at this level.
2: Close To Me
Like Deadlocked, I have NO idea how I have trouble with this.

Honestly, the hard part for me is how many objects there are. Don't even get me started on online mode, I end up focusing on my allies, too.
Vindicate Me is an easy level to S rank. Lots of gimpy places to hide, easy pattern to memorize, and overall and easy level.
For last update jsab 1.6, my hardest level list: 5: deadlocked. 4:core. 3:cool friends. 2:la dance macabre. 1: mortal combat/spider dance (for me hardest moment in the end)
Him:spectra number 5 me:first attempt on hardcore u got S
My hardest hardcore S ranks were:
1. Mortal Kombat
2. Granite - 1st checkpoint bullet hell. The rest of the level is pretty difficult too but that 1st checkpoint nails this one into 2nd place, I had no consistency with it.
3. Deadlocked - I could never get a good pattern down, it doesn't feel too difficult but something always went wrong.
4. Paperdolls - Near impossible without learning the walls at the end and it took a lot of practice.
5. Interlaced - A lot to learn and very fast patterns with tight dashes.
Honourable mentions to Lightspeed, Core, Airborne Robots, Born Survivor and Close To Me. If rank isn't an issue Spider Dance is very difficult too, repeating the level for S rank isn't too bad because you learn its patterns but it's different when you start a new game.
I was confused where try this and clash were but you put them both in honorable mentions 😂

First of all, 1000th comment! Yay, second, I disagree with some of these but everyone has their own challenges, for example, legacy is literally impossible for me, yet I was able to do Houston S rank on hardcore, on my first attempt at it ever. But I agree, mortal kombat is stupidly hard.
