OPEN WATER - THE WHALES IN TONGA (SEPTEMBER 2017)

This week I celebrate a 2 year anniversary of this amazing life event.
The trip to Tonga was booked 3 years in advance due to limited availability and short season to see the Humpback whales with their calfs in this part of the world. Then 3 years flew by and I was there. In simple words...an experience of a lifetime! Our group had multiple amazing encounters with these beautiful creatures. I still have vivid thoughts regarding the first time we had an underwater encounter with them. A range of emotions went through me including crying because of the happiness and beauty I was experiencing in that moment!!! This is one of the many reasons why I love marine life so much and for the awareness it creates to protect these marine creatures/marine life so that future generations can get to experience what we did.
