Interesting video. Life in the US can change dramatically depending on the State that you choose to live in the US. Each State is is like its own country, e.g. Florida is sunny without a State income tax, but with skimpy public services whereas Washington State is also without a State income tax but with extensive public services. NY State is blue with high taxes but very good social services for its citizens but it can be expensive. Texas is the opposite. So it goes on and on. From Colorado to California...from Boston to San Diego, the US is a fascinating place with so much to offer. So it goes on and on. US is a great and an awesome country to live and raise a family, as is Canada. Enjoy the journey.

I am also a Pakistani Canadian. I did my schooling in the US and then immigrated to Canada. I would never go back to the US. Moving to Canada was the best decision ever Alhamdulilah. Canada is home now. The people, the standard of living, and the system itself in Canada can not be traded for anything. One thing I agree, getting into professional disciplines in universities can be challenging, other than that Canada is a heavenly place to call home!

I believe they meant well by their video, but the fact is Canada offered more for them and their family than their home country, which is why they left. Wanting better for your kids/family is what you do or for yourself. But seriously it cant be heaven on earth you have to make it where ever you go, the US and Canada has some good benefits for anyone who can use it that is not available in their home country, As a matter of fact migrating is how we interact with the world, its how we grow its how we unite as a people.
If anyone chooses either places to live choose based on what will benefit you and your family home is where the heart is, because things changes all the time this year will not be like next year.

as a matter of fact few Canadian cities like Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal are located south of few American cities.

So im a medic having worked and earned pretty decent wages in the uk, and currently contemplating moving to canada.
Essense of life is moving and exploring. Given the dodgy gun laws in the US, it is and shall never be on my mind. Outside of UK, Canada and middle east are the best appealing options and given the liberties afforded in Canada, i wouldnt think of middle east..
I guess all comes down to individual lifestyle.
Kudos for you to try out, but id be happily trying out Canada any day over US.

Biggest problem in Canada is suitable employment and tgeir laws make it difficult for new comers to find jobs as they don’t recognise a lot of the foreign qualifications, it’s a huge waste of talent

    • @ahmedzakikhan7639

Same in US when it comes to recognizing qualifications and experiences. At the end of the day - if an employer doesn't have option they will hire. Problem in Canada is competion so employers have lots of candidates.

Indian and Pakistanis top favorites country is US. It is true to get in to medical and law in Canada your marks should be over 95%. That is why I always say to work in government jobs in Canada even as a cleaner they ask you to have bachelor's degree in a joke way. US is not so strict like Canada. It is easier to get a job in US as a doctor than Canada very hard and so many regulations here in Canada.

@@samiazaffar7096 the problem is the government. When any corporation ask bailout government give in millions from tax payer money but when it comes to public then the government cut the services and don't want to spend as if it is their father inheritance. That is why it is very important to elect people who aren't from wealthy families because they will benefit the wealthy and if you elect from someone who came from poor background then he is also bad. So elect good person not just look at the party and elect.

Apart from the job opportunities, I think the rest of the reasons are arguable .. like ...traffic and commuting in Florida is a nightmare ..... weather is just too hot and it gets to boiling hot in summer and no winter ... it varies from person to person but I personally don't like it. Crime and shootings in USA .... worst gun policies in Florida .... not to forget hurricanes and tornadoes in Florida. I have been to 3 states in USA and never liked it there .... anyways ...I hope you spend good time there ... cheers !

Seems like you are creating a lot of reasons to stay happy in America. Good for you. But I asked a few friends living in America and they say work-life balance is much better in Canada. Some of them have actually returned back. Yes US is a bigger market and more career opportunities. Weather is also much better. However, it's easier to get passport in Canada, not sure how long it takes in US. Public-funded healthcare is another big reason for many choosing Canada over US. So both countries have their positives and negatives. I think eventually it comes to an individual's specific situation, what works best for him.
