    My adjustment knob stop functioning 2 months after I got mine it still works but makes me paranoid I should've contacted them when I got it bc they would've made right by me but bc I'm dumb here I am 5 years later wishing I had lol.
    All In all great little regulator my only issues is filling CO2 where I am from every place is stopping tank fills 🤦🤷

    Great review, you should show it in action. Though a 140 bucks for a paintball tank regulator, goddamn. You might as wel buy a full commercial co2 setup

    Great video, I am looking to get CO2 , is that regulator still working for you? I heard it could go bad and leak whole co2 tank.

    Nice vid. I have an Aquatek regulator on my tank with the 3-1 diffuser. The only problem I have with it is the adjustment knob is super duper touchy. I don't even move it enough to see and it goes from 1 bubble a second to 3.

    i actually think that the aquatek regulators are rebranded Taiwanese/chinese regs i have a reg basically the same as the non adjustable dual gauge basic co2 reg by Aquatek but is marketed under the brand SAGA.Seems to work fine i havent tried out this mini reg yet .Great video

    Would you say this setup would be appropriate for a 40 breeder? Using a 20 or 24 oz bottle.

    Thanks for the video ! I just bought one Aquatek mini regulator after watching your video.By the way, how do you remove a non empty paintball tank from the mini regulator ? any precaution that I need to know?

    • @kpNov23
      @kpNov23 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You just unscrew it. The solenoid fails closed. I change my CO2 tank when plugged in.

    Is this the co2 mini or basic , Does the 3 in 1 diffuser go into the water with no need for the bubble counter and is the checkvalve in there already. and they have a large and small diffuser so which one do I get. Does it come with the system? Can you list every thing I need for it to work?

    Soooo... When I was screwing the paint ball tank on, I kept screwing after the click because it wasn't flushed. Well that cracked the little plastic around the tank. I guess I should have stopped at the click...right?

    • @MrJacobCastro
      @MrJacobCastro  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hugo Cardona Hi Hugo, just make sure next time when you're screwing the regulator on to the tank its flush. The o-rings are very easy to break and the littlest bit of damage will cause the seal to leak. There is no reason to stop screwing it on to the tank when you hear the click either, its best to continue until the regulator is screwed on as tight as possible. Thanks for watching my friend :)

    Really looks good Jacob and soo simple to use, even i can understand it :) Really tempted to get into Co2. I have a 55 gallon tank, so what size paintball cylinder would you say would be best for this size tank and roughly how long would this last ? If this system is good for people on a budget as well as being real good quality and does the job well, then im all ears :)

    • @MrJacobCastro
      @MrJacobCastro  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      OZZYTHEOSCAR For a 55 gallon a paintball tank would last about two weeks at one or two bubbles per second. The biggest size I could find is 20oz. Paintball tanks are pretty limiting, regular industrial tanks come in many different sizes, all the way up to 20lbs from what I've seen. When I had my 50 gallon up and running with my paintball co2 system, I owned four 20oz paintball tanks so I didn't have to make to many trips to the paintball shop to fill them up. So a paintball tank system is very cost effective and would be a perfect start for you.

    • @MrJacobCastro
      @MrJacobCastro  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      AGUSTIN RODRIGUEZ Hi Agustin, well the solenoid is nothing special, all you need is a power source with a timer. It will pretty much work with any timer and any power center. Thanks for watching my friend :)

    I need some help! I have the same exact set up but with a 24oz tank and I changed the oRing on my co2 tank. This is the 5th time I refill it so I figured I’ll change the oRing to keep it in good shape. When I twisted the tank into my regulator it started leaking LOUD i got so scared and let it go and let it empty out. But when I hold the tank it feels like there’s water in there. Is this still usable? I didn’t use lubricant. Could that have been it?

    • @iberne6489

      Also do you manually tighten the regulator to the tank or use a wrench to tighten?

    Great review, I will be buying one of these based on your expert advice. I have been using a Panamax BlueBOLT system on all my tanks. This is how I can monitor and schedule my lighting and soon a CO2 system. The BlueBOLT system also will send you email updates if you lose power which is critical if your pump or filters go down. Keep the videos coming.

    Hey Jacob, i need a co2 setup for my 55 gallon setup. I have no clue what to get, set it up, etc. Any suggestions on where i could buy a full setup or how to make one for cheap. Anyone i could make something for under 175$? thanks

    • @MrJacobCastro
      @MrJacobCastro  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Freshwaterfishvids Hey, okay here's what I would recommend. For the regulator - Basic AQUATEK CO2 Regulator with Integrated Solenoid (R-76), here is the link aquatek-california.com/co2-regulator-solenoid/#single-outlet this regulator comes with a bubble counter.
      For the diffuser Aquateks 3-in-1 is the best. Here is the link aquatek-california.com/accessories/#3-in-1-diffuser
      Lastly for the tank, Beverage Factories light aluminum tanks are good, here is the link www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/tanks/co2/C5.shtml
      This stuff will get your CO2 system up and running, after you fill the tank with CO2 of course :) Thanks for watching! :)

      Freshwaterfishvids and does the Basic aquatek regulator r-76 fit onto anything or would the beverage factories light aluminum be the only fit?

    • @MrJacobCastro
      @MrJacobCastro  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Freshwaterfishvids The aquatek regulator has a CGA-320 threaded connection which is the standard for most CO2 tanks. So yes it pretty much can fit anyone.

    How long will the paintball Tank last you

    • @MrJacobCastro
      @MrJacobCastro  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** If its used on a small tank, 10, 20 or 30 gallons streaming at 1 to 2 bubbles per second will last you around four to five weeks. If this system is used on a large tank 50, 100 or even 150 gallons at 3 to 4 bubbles per second it will last on average two weeks or less.

    can this setup be operated sideways (the tank lying on its longest side)? I was planning to mount it sideways on my aquarium stand wall...

    • @MrJacobCastro
      @MrJacobCastro  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ilmgwamh I don't think that would be a problem. But don't take my word for it. Try that at your own risk. Thanks for your comment and watching. Have a great day.

    • @jameswells561
      @jameswells561 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ilmgwamh I would not recommend laying a co2 tank on its side. This Is one reason they have flat bottoms. Co2 in the tank is partly liquid and if you lay it on the side the liquid will enter the regulator and may release liquid co2 into the system and could cause a pressure spike. Also please note that contrary to Jacob’s comment, co2 is not harmful to breath if released into the air. Do not inhale directly, however.

  • @RinaDasler
    @RinaDasler 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    if you put it on timer how does co2 doesnt blow up in the middle of the night? isnt it under the pressure? i never used anything with co2 except liquid ones. what is 'paintball tank' where do u get it from? what do u put inside? What should I use for 75G tank with discus fish?

    Seeing this product now makes me question why I waisted $135 Canadian dollars on the Fluval C02 kit.
    I just called my local pop shop. I can get a 50lbs tank for $35 canadian plus a $100 deposit.
    There must be something from this company that will work for this.
    If I find something, Im thinking I should be able to connect multiple aquariums to the single unit for less than 1/2 the cost of two of my Fluval systems.
    for the $35 canadian, I might have a years worth of c02 as well.

    • @WhteLotus
      @WhteLotus 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @jameswells561
      @jameswells561 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edna Dickinson the size of the tank doesn’t matter. It will only affect the amount of time the tank lasts before you need a refill. It will depend on the amount of co2 you use in your setup.
