This is true, it doesn't have and soft body physics like Burnout Paradise or MotorStorm, but I agree as far as the tumbling and the way the car moves (especially that boat blow over) seems spot on. I wish some of my other favorite games like GT5 had good crash physics like this.

Very nice music selection. Like people with taste :D ! The crash capacities of this game are nothing compared to GRID, GTAIV or even RIGS OF RODS, but damn the music make this videos worth the watching :D
Spoilers: the same thing that makes beam & point physics work so well for crashes makes it amazing for simulating suspensions, tires, and the moving parts of vehicles in general. The hard part is making the models accurately and then plugging in the right numbers.
Got to love game developers that say "We're too lazy to make a car crumple like it should, so instead an accident will just mean body pieces simply flying off with no crumple, woo"

Some nice crashes they look realistic, but some of the rolls are fair funny there going one way and then the car goes the complete opposite =p but nice work!

One time I was driving a Honda Hatchback and I went off a ramp waaaay too fast and when I slammed into the ground, my engine compartment snapped and folded over my dash board, making my car resemble the letter L. Another time I swerved a pickup truck into a pole and bent the damn frame into the letter U XD
1. Chill. Rigs of Rods is free and open-source. 2. Rigs of Rods is not a racing simulator, but an all-around vehicle physics simulator. 3. I see nothing but prerendered damage here, even if the physics are decent.
@gp4f2008 But the whole set-up towards the crashes are realistic and look like they could happen in real life. I think that's the idea of the realistic aspect of the video.

This game it's played for the kind of races it is, and the crashes are funny. Not for the realistic crash physics, Burnout Paradise it's different. You are comparing the sun with the moon.
Rigs uses is a soft fyssic material calculation, now the problem with that game is its so resorce heavy, its almsot unplayable if more then 1 unit collides, now if one can streamline its code and apply its soft material code in like say R racing the crashes can look pretty good with bodywork deforing realsiticly allong with good car handeling, now thinking about it carmageddion was first to introduce the system.
1. on google search rfactor 2. click the first one 3.go to downloads tab at top 4. it will be right there 5. but it only lasts for one hour then it asks for purchase 6. go back on google then type rfactor crack 7. download any crack put in rfactor folder then you got full game (:
