The Russian scion is brilliant and I’ll be building one for my yard! I’ll put mine on a removable mount on a tree that I know swarms to favor, rather than free-standing.

Sidenote, (minute 45:00) Russian Scion; i asked a Russian fried who keeps bees over there about this when I first heard of it and asked him, what they call this.
He told me a Russian Scion is known as a Prevoy.
I am going to make the Russian scion for sure. If I could get the bees to land there instead of on my neighbor's car I'll save myself a bunch of honey.
