The sacrifice is small compared to the bomb life that you have here. I drive nice cars, live in a good house and hang out with amazing people. Also, after getting a good job after a degree, you do get filthy rich here in Canada. If you don't want to work hard, don't come here. Stay in India.

Being a citizen of canada I can say struggles are beyond words theres a high percentage of people in depression and anxiety here suicide is high here if that say anything to you then I dont know what to say about canada more worse than this from a young age theres pressure. It's true.. Life in Canada is very monotonic and sometimes depressing but because of less jobs in India youngsters are forced to live like labourers in foreign countries.. It's not their fault.. India is more lively and happening place as compared to Canada but very less job opportunities

i think it depends on city and such. This is not allowed where I live. Gurdwara doesn't let you loiter either. You have to be listening to paath or doing seva. If you are sitting around wasting time in the langar hall they will tell you to leave as they should.

It's for anyone especially the poor. But when students abuse the privillage they become dependant on it And that is unfair to the poor who need the service. The students who like to show up everyday and get food packet have no manners. Their parents could not afford to send them to Canada with sufficient funds. So it is not the job of the diaspora who was already here. They are the ones who donated to build the gurdwara. This is common manners and thinking people who are not new to Canada. You will not find their kids lined up on a weekday for a free meal. This historically is a phenomenon already taken place in the UK. It was a big disaster. The gurdwara is not a restaurant. It is not a club. Respect it and treat it accordingly. The gurdwara was not set up as a food free service for students.

i think it depends on city and such. This is not allowed where I live. Gurdwara doesn't let you loiter either. You have to be listening to paath or doing seva. If you are sitting around wasting time in the langar hall they will tell you to leave as they should.

@@canadianjatti there is something called manners or etiquette. Look up the word on google. The gurdwara food is there for everyone. Donations and volunteers provide the food. It's for anyone especially the poor. But when students abuse the privillage they become dependant on it And that is unfair to the poor who need the service. The students who like to show up everyday and get food packet have no manners. Their parents could not afford to send them to Canada with sufficient funds. So it is not the job of the diaspora who was already here. They are the ones who donated to build the gurdwara. This is common manners and thinking people who are not new to Canada. You will not find their kids lined up on a weekday for a free meal. This historically is a phenomenon already taken place in the UK. It was a big disaster. The gurdwara is not a restaurant. It is not a club. Respect it and treat it accordingly. The gurdwara was not set up as a food free service for students.

Sikh people help humans in their time of need. If someone can't afford food and goes to the gurdwara so what. It will be thrown out anyways at the end of the day.
